They need to make a documentary on the story of N'Golo Kante. From a complete unknown signed up by Caen in the French second tier to double Premier league and World Cup winner in the space of just four years. Undoubtedly one of the most unlikely rags to riches story in the history of the modern game.
Even as a Chelsea fan, John Terry being an NFT salesman doesn't surprise me in the slightest lol. Loved Conte at Chelsea, i wish him the best at Spurs (as long as they end up below Chelsea lol)
Yeah thats one of those WTF Transfers. Then again, that is Werder Bermens speciality under Frank Baumann. I mean they would've had to pay 10 Mil for Davie Selke had they not been relegated in 2021.
We didn't have a choice. The snake refused to turn up to training for the club and threatened his way into getting a transfer leaving us high and dry with a week to go in the transfer market. Our initial target Allison had been snapped up by Liverpool in the Courtois melodrama so we panicked and splurged 72 million on some guy who'd had an okay season for Bilbao. In any case we have Mendy now (25 million bargain from Rennes) so I guess its worked out alright in the end. Just hope that giraffe slips in the shower.
As a corinthians fan, willian has not stuggled for us. Even though he doesn't have that many goals or assists for us, his impact on the game is absurd and we appreciate it more than anyone else
As a Chelsea fan, this season was pure perfection after that miserable run from the horror season before came about at the Emirates in 2016. Then to go on that winning streak and break several records in that run was sensational. We haven't come close to challenging for the league ever since because we're missing a few players that are essential to us winning and maintaining a challenge throughout the season rather than having our title race hopes dashed in December and then scrap for champions league spots come may. TL:DR Chelsea needs to fix the real problem before challenging for the league again and no it's not necessarily a striker that's needed.
Solid video as always! I think Tottenham is going to have a great 22/23 season under Conte. Maybe not as great as his debut Chelsea run, but he’s got great players to work with.
a documentary on the afc Wimbledon on the nine promotions in eleven years, how they’re a fan own club and how they have a stadium in plough lane now. The story of they lost the club, how the F A allowed that and won’t allow that anymore. How they were very close to moving to ireland How they went up the English football leagues. It would be a good documentary video if you can do this. #thepeopleschannel
Hey Alfie massive fan of your videos, a video about all the current premier league teams strangest pre season friendlies could be very interesting, for example Nottingham Forest played the Indian national team in 2001 I believe, could have some interesting games.
I remember saying to my brother early in the season this guy Conte is class we can win the league under him, he just scoffed and said "Pep at Man City and Klopp at Liverpool? Going to beat them are you?!" and the rest is history... for me Diego Costa is the player we are still struggling to replace, a good old fashioned, horrible centre forward who got the ball in the net no matter what and we did see his soft side once when he warmed up with Bradley Lowery at Sunderland
Damn! I've never really rated Matic highly either but "Syria may well suit him" is a bit harsh, don't you think? Arguably, still an upgrade from Man Untd.
Day 50: Considering that the last player who played in the miracle of Bern died about 7 months ago, I would really like to see a video about the whole story between Germany and Hungary, especially because it meant so much to at least the German population
Conte’s is ability to get the best out of mediocre (at least on paper) wingbacks like Moses, Emerson, Doherty, Ashley Young, and Alonso never ceases to amaze me. Emerson going from worst Spurs signing of the season to actually playable RWB by the RWB of the season was something I never expected.
Day 23 - The Fall and Rise of FK Velež Mostar From a Club that has beaten Borussia Dortmund, Twente, Derby County and many others to a club that was forced from their own stadium, reduced to nothing during the Bosnian War, becoming a mediocre top-level team in the 00s to nearly being forced into folding in 2016 to its amazing comeback to European competitions in 2021 seeing the early exit of Greek giants AEK Athens in a sensational win in Athens!
With the ongoing Libra proposal and now the competing Liga Forte Futebol proposal in the Brazilian game, I’d love to see a video that dives into all that’s going on in Brazilian football right now. Then again, wait a little longer and things might become more and more clear as to the actual future of the Brazilian game. Either way, this seems like a pretty seismic split that no one is really covering in English-language media. Feels tailormade for an Alfie video
Alfie just a guess but a bet you have seen all the football years. This channel is always bang on the money and you were bang on about Riquelme in your last video, 100% on that one. You defo know your stuff on the Scottish game bro and a like how you give it a mention, whilst obviously knowing a lot about it. Any chance of a short Gretna video? A ken u would smash it bro and it's really interesting
You should do what on earth is going on at Hercules CF who are now playing in a 30,000 seater stadium in their second season in the 4th tier in Spain with the club playing in La Liga in 2011 and having players like Trezeguet
Ryan Babel is a good example of a player who went from top flight, to sub-par for about 5 years & then back to top flight. He was as you'd expect.. alright, a bit aged but the skill would still shine through from time to time
Day 2 of asking for the Rise and Eventual fall of Middlesbrough after being saved form Liquidation by Hartlepool and Steve Gibson, going on to win a Carling cup and reach the Europa Leauge Final. And having the best Brazilian to ever grace the premier league
I was at Terry’s last game when we lifted the title. The 26th minute subscription was the most embarrassing and corny thing I’ve ever seen, didn’t even let him see out his last game at the club against a relegated team with the title already confirmed.
FM2012 I targeted Azpilicueta for my Boro teams (or any other team I managed if I wanted a change) as a not that well hidden gem, and he always got player of the season every season no matter how many times I tried to start again with a different plan. Don't like Chelsea, but they got a real gem there for an absolute steal!
Best German players in the premier league of all time. (Day 346) I will not give up until the video is made or Alfie himself tells me to stop. Everyone else telling me that will be ignored. If you don't believe my number, just go back to the previous videos. I'm at the bottom most of the time, but I'm there.
Matic just like Mata Amazing at Chelsea and Matic was phenomenal for 18 months plus but they both fizzled out at Man U and same story with William lol Seeing a trend with Chelsea A was literally writing this after Matic just as u said about William lol. On the money again bro
Bloody hell, England's brave John Terryᵀᴹ is a twat. I know he was a good footballer and undoubtedly achieved a lot, but NFTs, accusations of racism, sleeping with his teammate's wife and having a guard of honour during a match... Give me strength.

As a Chelsea fan, this is the most enjoyable season i have ever experienced.
Can you make a video on the 7 nations most likely to become first time World Cup winners by the end of the 21st century
That's a great idea, would love to see it.
Yesss, can you?
imagine selling Courtois for 35 million and signing kepa for 75, has to be one of the biggest L's ?
Now they both have the same amount of ucls
