Nice runs! I got mine about a month before you got yours. I went 11.31 @ 126.7 here in Florida with good d/a and about 60 degrees. Doing kooks long tubes this weekend and flex fuel sensor. Plus some r888 on the 20’s . Im hoping to break 11’s. Btw the car looks awesome in black. Mine is white and I feel yours looks what more aggressive. Keep up the vids!
Not a fan of line lock? Hearing that whine and 10 speed makes me miss my ZL1 (traded it in for a Z06). My best times were launching in track, race mode. On R888R I used to pop off 3.4 on the streets consistently. Good luck with this one man. I've heard it's difficult to get the ZL1's 60ft down.
It’s just difficult to put it into the mode that gets it activated. I don’t run it in track and have all the nannies off. I think with some drag radials I should be able to get it at least to a 1.6 which would get me right there at a 11.0-10.99 lol
I just uploaded my own 0-60 and 1/4 mile on a closed road last night. My best launch is just turning off traction control, stabilitak is on, i manually shift from first to second and then put it in drive. 0-60 in 3.6 and 1/4 mile in 11.6.
Get the z06 cooling brick upgrade on Gm part house should help with keeping it cool it’s a quiet fix Chevy never officially announced but changed on. The 2019 corvette z06
Jorge, I doubt a rear tire and removing the rear seat will get you in the 10.90s. The rear seat back and bottom I do not think is more than 25-30 lbs. Sure like your enthusiasm .....
A drag pack and passenger seat and rear seat should drop around 100-120lbs and with it hooking I believe I can get a 1.6 60’ 2 tenths in the 60’ is around 4 tenths in the 1/4 if my math is correct that means I will be close from an 11.4 to an 11.0-10.99 but don’t worry I’ll be back at the track this week to try this out lol
@@JLSpeed Ok, if you remove the front seat also, you should be close to 100 lbs lighter. Again I like your enthusiasm, a 1.60s 60 ft is gonna be hard, but a tenth or two better in the 60 ft time and a tenth being 100 lbs lighter !!! 11.0 is a reach imo. Good luck my friend.
@@donbjorkland1386 yeah well you have to strive for something lol I know it’s going to be difficult, but it’s close enough where there is a slight chance it can be done. The car spun hard all the runs and I got a 1.81 60’ so with it hooking up I don’t see why I wouldn’t be able to drop it down close to a 1.6X
@@JLSpeed Going to watch you closely to all the little trick you do, would you consider manually shifting the car in 1-2-3 so it shifts closer to 6500 RPM, The SS and the ZL1 shift early 1-2 2-3 and maybe 3-4 in auto mode. What gear is in that car, a 2.77 or 2.89? and what gear are you going thru the traps at? top of 5th or bottom of 6.
@@donbjorkland1386 it only short shifts when using launch control. First two runs it shifted right at 6500 with everything off. The car I believe it is a 2.81 not exactly sure but it’s 2.8 something and it is in the middle of 6th going thru the traps. There really isn’t any tricks besides the weight reduction and turning everything off with a proper drag pack to get it to hook and leave properly.
Thats what my tuner recommends on the 10 speeds. and based on the times i got compared to the other zl1 out there that was on a tire i got to say its doing pretty good...
@@MICKSHRED exactly which is why I'm confused. I have a 10 speed as well. So I guess his tuner thinks tour mode and traction on is better never heard of that since you get the full power to the wheels with it off.
Keep putting these zl1 to help me make the switch. Glad to see you enjoying it.
It’s 100% worth it if you can swing it!!
Dude you’re making me miss my old ZL1 more and more

Thanks! and yes definitely feels strong!
Damn man haven’t seen your videos in a while I had to do some catching up. But congrats on the zl1 can’t wait to see what’s coming
Thanks! And its going to be a fun car, we will see where it ends up!
I need to take mine to the track before i start my mods....yours seem to be running great..GOOD JOB
Definitely! I always try to do one mod at a time and show the gains both at track and dyno!

Aye thats how I do it 2 when its gets to spinning let the computer take over lol

I believe the zl1 already has the bigger cooling bricks and taller lid

What dash mount are you using for your phone?
Yessss sir... 🙌
My friends bone stock Zl1 ran a 11.1 @133 with a Rotofab and corsa exhaust no tune
