In drive there will always be a lag because the car has to get back into the lower gear and rev the engine to a higher rpm. Manual mode you’re already where you want to be.
What up Jorge...? I'm a camaro fan and support their channels I read a comment by you on someone else's channel. Glad you're giving back. It takes a lot to be humble and you're on the right path. Just remember to be grateful and appreciative😜. Didn't know you areGreek. I'm an SAE myself. By the way, just subscribed.
You Already Know thanks! One of my main motivations with making videos has been to help others out and hopefully show people how to do something’s, or spread good information to help others out!
lol, no offense of course, but you sound like you never drove a camaro before. I mean I was like that in my first 2016 when I first got it, but after that it was no big deal. :) But knowing that I never drove 450hp before, I drove it for about 2-3 months first, to get used to the car before I ever got on it. Just got my 2020 2SS now same difference +2 gears. Fun Fact, The auto trans now a days are faster than sticks, unless you are a VERY seasoned driver to borderline professional to match the auto trans. Also great video for launch control and line lock
I am following your videos. Very informative. I have two questions. In doing the burn what gear are you using or are you in drive automatic and letting it shift itself. Also when at the line using launch control are you in drive automatic or are you in #1 gear and manually shifting. Appreciate your info.
Ronald Manderson thanks! For the burnout I felt I was better able to control it having it in manual and 1st gear. And at the line I switch it over to drive and let it shift itself.
@@JLSpeed Thank you for info,no problem with wheel spin on launch ?, I have read in owners manual, be careful it could damage trans. if spinning while shifting gears, a few more miles and I will be trying mine at track. Your videos and info are very useful.
Ronald Manderson if using launch control no need to worry about spinning or any of that bc the car will try to get the best launch possible without spinning.
In my 2020 Camaro SS I only have to turn off traction control, hold the break and give it gas to spin my tires...I've never gone thru all those settings
That’s a given, this is to activate the factory launch control settings and to use the factory line lock feature which will apply the brakes to the front only to let the rears spin freely. I don’t use this setting I just turn off traction control and hold brake to spin tires, but this way is supposed to be the proper way to do it
Russ 392 yeah I really like the power in these stock. I already ordered the headers and x pipe system along with the gauges for my wideband and ob2 reader to get e85% content info. This car is going to be basic bolt ons and e85 here in the next month or two!
Jorge's Vlog i cant wait to see bro ! Do you recommend i get my oil change and diff fluid change from the dealer i saw both videos but i have no tools also I’m at like 900 miles
@@fastliferuss8710 You should have at least 2 free oil changes from the dealer. That will cover the engine oil change, and the diff fluid change im not sure how much they would charge. I was able to do it with just a 3/8 wrench and a cheap transfer pump from walmart didnt even use a lift. and just got a bowl to drain the oil from it. Just buy yourself a 3/8 wrench and the transfer pump from walmar and order the diff fluid. You should be able to do that yourself.
I had a boosted Pontiac G8 and wanted to get back into a N/A car and do a build N/A. It was also a better intro into UA-cam and felt that once this channel grows hopefully in the next year, and i have done the most i can with this car as an N/A build, ill step up to a Zl1. So I might be in a Zl1 next year!
Ronald, to add 100 hp you will need to do a cam swap at minimum, but you can add 60-75hp through simple bolt ons like i have done from headers, no cats, ported stock intake manifold or ported msd intake, rotofab intake and ported tb with e85.
Ernesto Cadenas the line lock and launch control is under the settings tab I believe in the dash. It’s not under performance but one of the last menus. Maybe the 1LE is different 🤔
I have a 2022 2SS 1LE I cannot find my RPM setting or slip % in launch control, it revs to 3500 when I have competitive mode on, Also, I cannot find line lock. Can anybody give me some info?

True, I know it has to wait a split second to downshift. and its noticable, but not as bad as older 6L80 automatics thats for sure!
Jorge's Vlog I live in Pasadena tx. Maybe one day I’ll see you if you live in houston
@@Mlgradar713 Im sure ill see you, I live down near clear lake
Jorge's Vlog if you ever see a 2017 all black camaro ss With the license plate “ISEEYU” then thats me!
I’ve also realized that it pulls way harder on manual top end though I like it in automatic
Just did my 1st launch after 2500 miles ...i love it..1ss 2019 .
Camaro looks fine af! I’m glad ur enjoying it! :)

How you do it step by step?
My bro Jorge need to hit 1k already 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
2019 camaro SS is quick insane
It feels very quick, can’t wait to see how it responds to mods!
You can put it in manual and downshift it to about 4k rpm and then slap it into drive and it'll be responsive
Ryan Tidwell will need to try that!
Awesome tutorial 👌
Thanks Jorge !
Great features ✊I have the 2018 Camaro SS I love driving it.Be safe and enjoy the weather ✊
Thanks! Yeah the launch control and line lock are definitely great to have for the drag strip!
Thanks man.. I’m at 600mi on my 2019 2ss . But will wait till I hit 1500 b4 I blast it...
1BAD2SS Blackhawk u can do it till 1800 before ur tires start spinning

Lol I had a 700hp g8 but as for a stock car, the camaro is pretty quick.
It’s not a lag in Drive bro it’s downshifting that’s what takes a second

I saw you doing the burnout when you recorded this 😂 didn’t know it was you lol

Nice video, is there a reason why you didn’t get the 2019 ZL1? Was it financial issues or you just preferred the SS?

What is the most effective and efficient way to add 100 HP to 2019 2SS Camaro?

I got a 2019 SS 1le I could not figured out where the lunch lock or how to do on the burn out on my car???
Ernesto Cadenas the line lock and launch control is under the settings tab I believe in the dash. It’s not under performance but one of the last menus. Maybe the 1LE is different 🤔
Line lock for an auto FUCKING HILARIOUS!!! Can’t wait for the donut button
I got a manual transmission 2019 1le I don’t see the line lock on my features.
It should be in the gauge settings. and only works when in Track.

@@schmittroofingconstruction3899 it should be somewhere in your dash screen
I’ve been through the dash screen many times and can’t seem to find it
