Journalism wasn't always required to be "neutral." As long as it doesn't turn into propaganda (like Fox News), there is nothing wrong with journalists expressing an opinion as long as they are open about doing so.

Though a journalist should be free to express opinion (when asked about it, or on an appropriate platform for such), I greatly appreciate the objective and neutral approach of this channel. Presenting relevant and objective news fairly and evenly , without opinion coloring by the host, is like a breath of fresh air to me. That should be the standard . Again I say Kudos to this channel.

What everyone seems to misunderstand or deliberately overlook is that it's entirely possible to be against the apartheid policies of the Israeli government and not be an antisemite. Something else people just don't seem to understand is that the Palestinians are also Semitic people, making the term antisemitic a misnomer in this case. During the first Ozzfest tour that disturbed was a part of, I saw the vocalist standing off to the side of the stage, I being a teenager I excitedly asked him to sign my ticket stub, he looked at me as if I was the worst human being on the face of the planet, snatched my ticket stub out of my hand, scribbled on it, and threw it on the ground at my feet.
Every time a celebrity dies, I wonder why it isn’t him.

TLDR I got to shake hands with Roger waters, it was a very strange invitation. If you are at all weirded out by creepy situation’s, you would’ve turned around and walked away, never getting a chance to meet him.

@@Katie2986 This was about 24 years ago I was about six hits of LSD into my day before the show started, I had my ticket, and the friends I’ve came with had an extra seat, so I had two tickets stubs in my pocket.
I was so confused about the seating procedure that I ended up walking around the stadium in circles, there were areas that lead to backstage that were taped off with yellow caution tape, during one of my many sweaty rounds staring at tickets stubs, I saw that one of the entrances caution tape was torn in half.
I giggled to myself and walked in to see a stylish looking rockstar type guy leaning against the wall in the hallway with his arm around a girl, it seems like he’d been watching me for a while, he laughed and said “ what’s up man” I looked over and calmly said “nothing much, just can’t find my seat.” He looked surprised by my response, probably expecting some exhausted babble, but I was, at the time, a very experienced drug user and could handle just about anything while keeping my mind about me.
I was calm and cool as a cucumber, we chitchatted for about five minutes before he said “come on back and sit down”
We walked down the hallway to what looked like a living room with food, couches, basically a dressing room / green room area.
I reached in my pocket and lit up a joint that I had rolled up earlier, The guy looked at me, laughed and said “ it’s good to see you have a ticket“
I said, but I already have two tickets, I didn’t understand that he was talking about the joint… I passed it to him and we chitchatted more about random shit that you can talk about.
I was properly blitzed at this point, you could see the sweat pouring off of me from my trip, and the weed just kind of mellowed everything out. Then the girl came back in and whispered in the dude’s ear looking like she was in a hurry.
He looked at her and said “don’t worry no problem,” sometime later a bunch of people came in, and I only recognized Roger Waters, because it was literally everyone that was on the stage.
I was stunned, breathless, I couldn’t move, but the dude put his arm around me and kind of relaxed me a bit as we walked up to Roger, I shook his hand, he said “I hope you enjoyed the show, I laughed and said “I couldn’t find my seat”, Roger said “ so that’s how you ended up back here” The dude that brought me back there quickly chimed in and said “yeah, he had his ticket”
Roger went on his way after nodding, I hung out for a little while longer before I was shown the door, I casually walked out to my friends truck and sat in the bed of it while waiting for everyone to get together.

I really like Disturbed but I feel the need to share this "memory". I don't remember entirely but I seem to remember reading a story about a Disturbed concert where David told the crowd to stand up. There was a guy near the front that didn't stand up. David called him out and started berating him to the crowd. Eventually the discovery was made that the guy was in a wheelchair and couldn't stand up...
Yeah that is exactly what I would expect out of him.

Several artists have been speaking against Israel and on behalf of Palestinian Rights since the 70's. What is disturbing - no irony intended - is how, progressively, such criticisms are being under aggressive attack. It means Israel's power, at least in the Western World is a lot bigger than it was back then.
The problematic parts in the appearance of Roger Waters in his show is that there was a pig with a Star of david on him, it's clear what he wanted to declar by that.

You’re not understanding why there are anti-Israel Jews. It’s not politically motivated. Instead, it is rooted in extremely radical religious beliefs that veer way off the Jewish religious course. These extremists are opportunists who will stand with Palestinian people and the right wing government when they don’t even believe a secular government should exist or give two hoots about human rights. All this minority group of Jews care about is an extremely warped sense of their religious beliefs - it is just like the warped Muslim extremists who say they are on a religious quest despite blowing themselves up and killing innocent civilians because “the Koran tells me to do it.” Those people and their points of view don’t represent the vast majority of kind, religious Muslim people out there.
Sadly, the vast majority of Palestinian people are instigators and opportunists. I’ve been to Israel and in the area now known as the West Bank. Do you know little children just threw rocks at our vehicle? We were clearly tourists with a guide trying to go visit religious sites. What would prompt that during a peaceful time back during January 2000?
It’s a very complicated situation, but when you haven’t been there to see what’s going on with your own eyes, and you’re not versed in the intricacies of the underlying tensions, you can’t formulate a true opinion. Israel isn’t out to start wars it hurt people. They’re usually responding to aggression that doesn’t hit the mainstream media until after they have struck. It gives people a very twisted perspective about who is truly the aggressor. There are even Israeli Palestinians who want nothing to do with their own people who are extremists rather than trying to legitimately find a middle ground unless they get everything they want. These people lives and work in Israel and want Israel to remain the way it is because it should not be in the hands of extremists- that’s what multiple people I spoke with in cabs, in shops, and while just chilling all expressed. They are proud to be Israelis and living a good life where they are appreciated and are true friends with Israelis. Somehow they manage to get along and live productive lives outside of the Palestinian territory that really puts the region in danger, not just Israel.
It’s a sad situation, but you can’t negotiate with extremists. They are not ever going to make peace, even if they get what they want. It’s really sad because the good Muslim people who live peacefully and happily with the Israelis and fight alongside the Israelis against Palestinian aggressors and extremists and amazing people - and you have to ask yourself why they are taking this stance. Again, like the anti-Israel Jewish people, the Muslim extremists also have a warped perception of their religion and country. They take advantage of trying to achieve their goals with violence, acting like victims when they are the aggressors in reality, and are just not what their religion and overall culture stand for morally, politically, etc.
It could be very different but these people don’t want that. They want the world to think Israel is horrible. Regardless of who the Prime Minister is, it’s not a horrible place or people. Do I agree with everything that happens there? No. But there’s is a lot more positive than negative, like most western civilizations.
Not trying to change anyone’s minds here, but look up a guy named Neil Lazarus from Awesome Seminars if you want an accurate portrayal of the state of what happens in Israel and the Palestinian Territories. He’s on social media and has a website. But I encourage people to go visit Israel for at least a month or more to get a better idea with your own eyes and ears. Go visit different parts of the country and the picture starts to emerge.

I highly doubt that David and Roger could be in a room together and have an intelligent much less civil conversation. If aconversation between them could ever happen it would have to be from different places.
I honestly wish the entire world would stay out of this fight and let these groups (as in the warring factions, not bands) handle the problem in the way they want and know best. If nothing else, America has tried to turn mortal enemies into friends and it is only gotten worse. People might not like the outcome, but only one side would be standing at the end and this decades long disagreement would be over pretty quickly…but it won’t be pretty.

You are also very correct about it being one sided because if the world stepped away and let them go at it, that’s why I said there would only be one group standing and it wouldn’t be pretty. I have never tried to be someone I'm not but it would be fantastic if people like David and I love disturbed would just think hey if I give my opinion and speak against this and realize he's only giving that person (wrong or right) the attention he's feeding into that type of prejudice? I have no side to pick but I think this world be a much better place if we didn't feed attention to the negative I suppose....I've never been racist or hated on anyone because of religion or the dumb crap that goes on each day . I do commend David for defending what he believes in,I would as well but I don't feed attention into stupidity like these people who wear attire that they know would offend many different people. Meanwhile, Israel has its own military and weapons defense system aka "the iron dome", yet they still get "aid" from us and have since WWII despite now being one of the largest economies in their region. So frankly even your whataboutism is 💩Now on the subject of "what about fixing our own country!", firstly we have a treaty with Ukraine that they de-nuclearize and we help fund their defense should they be invaded (like now) and we still have millions and even trillions of dollars we could spend on the homeless or American citizens overall yet our tax system is corrupt and the military budget is nearing 1 trillion despite never passing an audit.

Being a kid in the 1980s, I had to hear that "Anything I don't like is communism", or "un-American" spiel. I really hope David is not doing the same with "Anything I don't like is anti-Semetic". I say that for this reason. A few years ago, David posted on his fan page about a Holocaust remeberance service that got hijacked by pro-Palestinian protestors. I said along the lines of, "I might get heat for this, but it needs to be said. While I support the message of the protest, this was not the time and place for a protest such as this. This is for those that died in the Holocaust, those that put a stop to it, and those that survived to continue to tell the tale. We can learn from the service. Let the folks there have it." David responded directly to me with, "No heat, brother. Respected and appreciated". I'd be disappointed if i were to find out he either didn't mean it, or would reneg on his response. He seemed more open-minded back then. Didn't seem to use the "Rank and file like I tell you" mindset. Any deviation at all makes one an enemy these days, sadly.

This has caused me to dislike Draiman a lot. If he was truly proud of his Israeli heritage he would renounce the country's human rights violations and call for action against them rather than deny them and claim everyone who points them out are nazis. If you love your country you should be advocating to improve its issues rather than brushing them under the rug.
