This song was a memory challenge, So many different cymbal grabs, accents and chokes that aren't exactly where you think they'd be!
The Solo Fill at the end is what I believe he plays 4 on the toms, 2 on the bass drums.. Just REALLY fast haha.

Honest question: at what point do you think Tommy realized he should play his kit differently than everyone else? Like, not straight-ahead but with these added flourishes.
Thats a pretty good question.. like we hear about the modern drummers and who they were influenced by.. but where did the wild side of his playing come from?
How do you play the hi-hat in the verse? Are you opening and closing it on each hit?

Hey thanks man! Yeah basically as you hit the hi hat, you lift your foot. It gives a delayed open sound which is sick! 🤘🤘
