Glaisnock Manor House in Ayrshire was originally built around 1833 and was designed James Ingram of Kilmarnock for James Allason. In the mid 1800s, the Estate passed from the Allason family to Captain Robert Campbell of Auchmannoch in the parish of Sorn.
Though, the estate was broken up around 1949 with the mansion being bought by the County Council. The Council opened Glaisnock in 1952 as a school. The school specializing in rural education, took in boarders as well as day pupils. The building operated as a four year school from 1968 until its closure in June 1973. In 2005 a 6 million plan got underway transform Glaisnock House into a European Centre for Creativity. The refurbishment went unfinished to this day the once great structure stands abandoned.

@davidcameron1792 I know... Unfortunately, the former owner passed away, and the building has been left dormant since. It is such a beautiful structure and deserves a revival.
Thank you for your comment, and I hope you have a pleasant rest of your week.

The history of the structure is in the description. I can not talk in videos due to having severe issues with my speech.

European center for creativity 🙄 Bollocks! No wonder it went kaput!
If I had investment money to put into this, I'd turn it into a wedding party place for rental and advertise it towards couples across the world. I am sure rich Chinese couples would love to celebrate union in such a romantically bucolic setting. I would just renovate the interior with a reasonably priced contemporary style, while keeping a wood panneled lobby strictly decorated with Victorian antiques as the house's centerpiece.

100%! This place would have made an incredible wedding venue... Keep a traditional Scottish theme within the interior.
