Leave Tires as is
Put that in brush guards and fuel cells .
Smaller tires allow you to go more places

Buy yourself a M35A2 Multifuel army 6x6 and then you can fuel it with used motor oil and it's 99% EMP proof. If you have the workshop body you could have a TOC at the same time...

Get the firmware from the manufacturer website and reflash.
