The Simpsons is an American animated sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series is a satirical depiction of American life, epitomized by the Simpson family: Homer Simpson, Marge Simpson, Bart Simpson, Lisa Simpson, and Maggie Simpson. The Simpson family navigate their fair share of injuries and doctor's appointments with Dr. Nick and Dr. Hibbert, but the medical accuracy of these Simpsons clips is questionable, to say the least. Today Experts React Gamology ER Doctor Doctor Wagner will be watching and reacting to The Simpsons funny moments and the best of Simpsons clips. Some of The Simpsons best moments from Mobile Homer, The Crepes of Wrath, Bart's Inner Child, Homer vs. Dignity, and Homer the Smithers. Do you watch Simpsons full episodes? This long-running animated comedy focuses on the eponymous family in the town of Springfield in an unnamed U.S. state. The head of the Simpson family, Homer, is not a typical family man. A nuclear-plant employee, he does his best to lead his family but often finds that they are leading him. The family includes loving, blue-haired matriarch Marge, troublemaking son Bart, overachieving daughter Lisa and baby Maggie. Other Springfield residents include the family's religious neighbor, Ned Flanders, family physician Dr. Hibbert, Moe the bartender and police chief Clancy Wiggum.

Dr. Wagner. 2:13 when Bart was doing chest compression , he was using an old school method where there wasn’t a safer way to rescue unconscious person. Therefore, elbow and even a chair hitting where the heart is was the last minute to revive Homer.
Thanks again er dr for making me have the confidence to talk with my doctor without the fear of judgment and getting help for my ADHD
Yes!! Proud of you!
Subcutaneous injection
Seeing Bart doing chest compressions and then switching over to using a steel chair made me laugh 😂. Also, the sound of Otto's arm breaking and then popping back into place really made me cringe 😬. Thanks again for another Simpsons video Dr. Wanger. These videos never get old.
Dr. Wagner, have you ever encountered a patient where you thought, "How is a person this stupid still alive?" I've heard stories from other doctors where there are people like Homer in real life.
So here's a dad joke that you can use for your patients: Dogs can't perform MRIs but Cats can (Cat Scan). Lol
Lol love it
In the words of Homer Simpson: D'OH 😆🤣
Right at the start of video with Homer falling down the stairs I thought of Peter Griffin falling down the stairs in that one episode of Family Guy first and my third thought was of Dougie (General Disarray) of South Park saying “Simpsons did it, Simpsons did it!” 😂😂😂😂
In another episode, Peter actually admitted that they took a lot from The Simpsons.
I once slipped and fell off a trampoline. Flew through the air, and landed hard onto the grass. Fortunately, I landed in a way that I didn't hit my head, nor break or fracture anything. Just flat on my side, like one might if slipping on ice. I urinated blood that night, but otherwise nothing bad came of it. Of course, being teens at the time, we were more concerned with making sure none of our parents found out that it had happened, because we didn't want them taking the trampoline away.
I still distinctly remember one of my friends busting a gut laughing when it happened, while simultaneously apologizing that he was laughing. Because he knew I had just hurt myself, but couldn't help how funny it was to watch. Which I forgave, admitting that I would've probably done the same thing in his shoes.
As teens we do a lot of dumb stuff and then try to hide it from Mom and Dad so we don't get in trouble... I remember those days LoL 🤣
@@Joreel I know, right? Modern, adult me is like, "Probably should've told my parents so we could've gone to the doctor, and made sure everything was actually okay." Especially with the whole blood thing. But instead, I just closed my eyes the next few days when using the bathroom, hoping that when I did look again, it would be back to normal. Trying to pretend like it never happened, while hoping it would fix itself.
For future video suggestions, react to the movie Osmosis Jones and its spin-off TV series Ozzy & Drix.
Also there's an anime called Parallel World Pharmacy where a modern-day doctor reincarnates to a world themed around the middle ages and uses his modern knowledge of medicine to help this world's people advance their medical research.
Which, to those people, I imagine that modern doctor probably comes off as some sort of wizard.
I don’t know if you have time to do it, but a really long reaction video to all of The Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror episodes would be cool to see. One long episode covering years of Simpsons content.
I've covered lots of Simpsons Tree house episodes! Also, here's a long Simpsons compilation to check out: ua-cam.com/video/tqwlw3B24kg/v-deo.html
@@DoctorER Thank you!
You need more Venture Bros and Metalocalypse in your life.
What episodes should I react to?
@@DoctorER It's hard to nail it down to just a couple. Venture is the greatest show to grace television so every episode needs to be watched, and Metalocalypse pretty much ends each episode with a few brutal, uh... "medical situations", to not be censored.
I'll try to figure a list, though. Gonna take a bit.
@@DoctorERI don’t know about Venture Bros, but Metalocalypse has a couple of health related episodes, specifically from season 3.
DethHealth has the guys deciding to go visit the doctor and trying to “trick” the doctor to show that they’re in really good health
RehabKlok has Pickles the Drummer go to alcohol rehab clinic
There’s also FertilityKlok which talks about impregnation and female ovulation/fertility cycles if you want/can to talk about that

Dr. Er would like you to analyze 2 episodes of The Simpsons, one when Dr. Hibert in the middle of a public street takes out a man's appendix and then throws it as if it were a bomb and the second when Bart is vaccinated and goes deaf.

This Has To Be The Smartest Doctor
There is definitely a lot to see on the Simpsons when it comes to injuries. Love this content
I had a trampoline as a kid. We had those protective pads covering the springs and I kept to the center. Not one sprain, break or anything. I miss that trampoline but as an amputee to my left leg, sadly, I'm 39 and won't ever be on another one. Spent hours everyday on that thing...fond memories. Although at least the trampoline park gave your residency a good boost in business with all those sprains, breaks and fractures. Which only happen if they mis-stepped or weren't using the equipment how it was supposed to be used. I had one and used it correctly. If one uses it correctly then in general, they're safe unless you miscalculate the jump but that is why staying in the center is advised.
Imagine if Dr. Wagner followed Homer around he'd have a heart attack from all of the stupid dangerous stuff!
Me alegraste el dia doctor wagner me gusta ver tus videos, bastante entretenidos y educativos 😂😌
pause on 0:18 it looks like the northern lights but with the colors of his room- XD
Homers hospital bill must be through the roof! 😂 from season 1 all the way to season 35. Thank God Dr. Hibbert is a family friend.
Un clasico de Homero y sus Accidentes🤯😅
A Powerfull Like for you DoctorER
0:50 I absolute hate bug sprays. In general, maybe exactly because my mum was so fond of them and would use them a lot. I hate their stench besides that it can't be too healthy anyway. But that one time (which means a lot for me as a hardly get angry), when I was 18 years old, she sprayed the appartment heavily with it while she had left the door to my room open I really lost it. I had a beloved tarantula in there by that time and I had always been very clear that my room was a no go area for insecticides. Spiders may not be insect, but they are still arthropods and similar enough never to expose them to stuff like that. Luckily my dear eight-legged darling survived the incident, but I had not been as angry for a long time (although it is typical for me that I may get angry rather for someone (yes, animals are pesrons too..) else than for myself.
For the rest, thanks for keeping up the hlarious reactions.

You have the coolest videos❤
Do you know I think he caught a rare moment? That's the closest I have ever heard Homer ever actually swear. Although I think it would be funnier if he did just go fiddly Dee. 😂 3:23
That last one about the spine reminded me about the spine fusion Hank Williams(Sr.) had because he was born with spina bifida occulta and that's why he would drink alcohol, because of alcohol being a form of pain killer(essentially) but he had a quack Doctor who gave him morphine, so the alcohol+Morphine cocktail is partly what killed him(though being an alcoholic didn't help him) 😢😢 but history context… Hank Williams was between 1923 and 1953(essentially, I have read about him extensively and believe he was technically already dead in his hotel room in December of 1952, and because of the people who moved him and drove him to the hospital in Oakhill West Virginia, he was pronounced dead on January 1st 1953!!) also his Doctor was Toby Marshall who got his medical license/degree in the mail!! 😮😮 But his back was in bad shape and wasn't helped by the long car rides back then… 😢😢

When you perform CPR and revive someone that was brain dead for 0.000000001 seconds
I totally relate to Homer with the whole falling on the stairs bit. Okay, not quite as bad as that but I do. Having dyspraxia, I do fall a lot. I tripped on a few steps just last week.
So, like 15 years ago, when I passed my driving licence course, a first aid / basic medical course was mandatory as well. We were told/taught that we are not allowed to do chest compressions, as it could mess up the "natural" heart beat" (sure we had to check pulse through the artery by the adams apple). And rescue breath had to be done by pushing/forcing the head "upwards" to clear the airways, put bandage on the unconscious person nose and then perform mouth to nose(as safety precaution, since You don`t know if the other person has any blood disease, aids or etc).
"And while you're at it, throw a polio shot in there"
There _better_ be a polio shot in the kids' schedule of shots! Homer and Marge are probably of the generation like me where children were lined up and the school nurse vaccinated each class. I remember that. I'm a Baby Boomer caboose.
I also remember in the 1990's when adults as well as children were to get a new MMR (measles, mumps, rubella or German measles). I thought I'd already gotten an MMR as a '70's child, but I did get mumps as an older child, definitely before 13, so maybe not. Maybe only measles.
But I'll take the flu shot, pneumonia shot, I've got the shingles regimen, and I'll take the shot of the epidemic and pandemic of the day.
Yes, covid and flu shots can take it out on your energy and a few other things, but vaccines prevent a world of hurt.
I'd rather feel a few days of fatigue than a lifetime of long Covid or anything like post-polio syndrome like my dad dealt with for 50 years. I don't want to be in an iron lung because of paralysis. I have enough problems with walking up and down steps. And I want to keep breathing at full capacity.
And with all the people who have long Covid including a few friends of mine, you'd think people would want to avoid it like the Black Plague.
I was born in the 1990s, year 96. So I don’t remember anything.

Hey doctor my mom broke her foot yesterday and its swelling again is that normal?
ты лучшый!
I think that this is making me feel like a little bit cheer up on here this morning
Years ago I accidentally dropped/banged a can of raid on a counter and it's top exploded off into my face. I went to the ER, because I was having trouble breathing, but after a bit it cleared up no problem. However. I didn't realize how much had gotten into one of my eyes. The next day I couldn't see out of it and it was swollen as heck. I got an emergency appointment to the eye doctor and he said I had a chemical burn inside of my eyeball. I had to put cream into my eye several times a day, and wear an eye patch for weeks. The kids said I looked like a pirate. So. What is a mom to do? I went and got a pirate hat, and we decorated it with a bunch of trinkets, coins, and everything else, and wore it the entire time I had the eye patch on. Was painful, but hey, if yer gonna wear an eyepatch, why not be a pirate for a while? So yeah. Don't get bug spray in your eyes/face. DON'T.
2018 I fractured my 4-6 thoracic vertebrae, rabdo is the only thing the hospital found immediately which was 3 days after my most serious seizure.
Delay of pain is pretty crazy, I recently tore my Achilles' tendon at work recently. I was straining my ankle too much and suddenly heard a 'pop' and had a moment of thought "what involved in this situation could make that sound?" Then the pain washed in and I fell to the floor, shortly after also experienced sensory overload for the first time.
Hi doctor! I'm from Argentina and I did a CPR course...they told us we don't have to provide mouth-to-mouth breath because "it's obsolete and useless" due to not providing oxygen actually 🤔
Just call the ambulance and start beating
Love all the videos you do, you should do one for home improvement
That would be cool!
If you want suggestions, I've got two. 1) the school gets chairs that are designed to fix posture, but the kids have some bad reactions. 2) Martin has a birthday party and instead of cake they serve oysters and well, something tells me they weren't stored properly. Also is polio even still a thing in the United States?
I'm unfortunately one of those who has hardware in my back and the pain is still there. Had surgery at L4-L5-S1 and a few years later a Spinal Cord Stimulator. The SCS actually helped and reduced the pain about 50% so I could get off the Oxycodone, Morphine, and Actiq meds. I'm still in constant pain 20 years later, but it's better than being dead from all the pain meds
Heard of a case of scoliosis so severe the patient actually cracked the hardware meant to stabilise his condition
05:02
Seguramente Otto ya estaba 'medicado' antes de subirse al trampolín 😉
Can confirm being stuck on the floor with back pain sucks, especially when I fell backwards against the only door to the room (my being in the bathroom at the time), if I didn't get myself moved it'd have been a job for the firemen to cut the door apart I'm sure... :S
Honestly... Simpsons get into trouble just like curious puppies trying to check their new house 😂😂😂😂😂😂

5:19 Oh on talking on biting tongues or tongues in general.. what is the name for the 'thread' like bit of the tongue near the rear sides, where the bigger teeth are at.. sometimes.. there is 'tongue tags'.
Speaking of giving out vaccines all at once, even my veterinarian told me, that he doesn't give rabies shots together with shots for other diseases as rabies shot is simply a huge harvester, that will burn through most capabilities of immune system and we prefer complete immunity for less diseases than partial one for more diseases.
I got bitten by a widow spider when I was cleaning. I am allergic to spiders in general so the usual allergic reaction to them looked like poison bc they had never seen my reaction. I still had to be put on antibiotics to treat the allergy.

One time I was on a trampoline as a kid and landed on my knees wrong and all I could feel was pain going up my spine. I stayed off the trampoline the a week, went back on and my back still hurt when I jumped. I didn’t go to the doctor, or tell any adult, and it eventually went away. Don’t know what happened.
I always enjoy your reaction videos.
You really need to make a video with scenes from "Coming to Homerica". It has it all. Food poisoning. shoulder injury and gout.
What episode is that doing the clip where Lisa and Bart get shots? I can't remember it.
Heh my friend had a trampoline in his backyard, some people would do flips others like me would get double jumped and see how far we could fly and land on concrete, nobody ever got seriously hurt though. This was back in the mid 90's.
