"A little touch of butter"
*puts in 3 full bricks*
I love you, Ramsay.
"just a little Drizzle...of olive oil" *empties the bottle*
i dont know about anybody else but most of the indians, including me, absolutely love their butter ;)
Butter is one of the few common things out there that's better than sex, no wonder Ramsay uses a ton of it.
TheActualCanadian lol yea its like when he says a tea spoon olive oil he puts like a cup of it
I dont know how he can eat that much butter everyday, he does that in every dish, and he is still alive
The moment I saw the size of the "touch of butter" I knew I'd be reading some comments
Thats when I started reading lmao😭😂
Same lol
Just like his ‘sprinkle of oil’ = 1 litre 😂 I swear he does it on purpose just for us
Me too! That was not a touch.
@Mark Steven yeah
"Three fingers:
One in front, two behind.
Nice and fine."
-Gordon Ramsay
hhahahaha
lol that is just so dirty :D
Beautiful. In. Taste that. Delicious.
Lol
It's middle finger right
Calling it 'naan bread' just means 'bread bread'
Just like chai tea
Well theres different types of indian flat bread, like roti, or chappati. Its just describing which type of bread it is, like wholegrain bread.
@@hyphen8d725 roti is Urdu for bread. Naan is we typically call "roti".
Devu s I guess if you just say chai you might be mistaken for chai latte. I know it's not the same but people are often naive
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG This is suuuuch a pet peeve of mine.
"A little touch of butter"
puts like 5 fucking pounds of butter in there jeeeesus man chill
That's a bit of an exaggeration don't you think? I mean 5 pounds could easily buy a Kilo of butter!
That was only like 2 tablespoons, that's not much.
sniktun1 by pounds he means lbs . About 2 kg
When Gordon means a little, he actually means a lot
no 1lbs is about 0.5kg
"A touch of buttah" *adds a chunk of butter the size of my fist*
i have some good ideas what we can do with these fists after we made these wraps together pm me if u hot piece is interested

emma land Why is this comment so funny!!!!!😂😂😂
ms tiny fist 😂😂
Me: my leg is broken, i fell off jumping.
Gordon: Butter.
@Mohammed Uddin So that butter doesn't burn
😂
Hahahaha!
Also lemon zest for some reason
It's "buttah" 🤣
All the Indian chefs out there calm down, the title is Indian spiced wrap not some authentic Indian dish and he never mentioned it as an indian dish just an egg wrap with some mix of indian spice.
Actually, he mentioned it as Indian street food. Though the ingredients in the recipe are so universal in India, I can't say where he might have had it. Probably Gordon took some other dish closely resembling and modified to fit his taste.
@@diptarkadas5193 i think he ate bhurji... but made his own version of it
Anda Bhurji paratha is very famous street food
I heard it as being inspired by street food.
@@diptarkadas5193 Looks like a frankie to me - street food from Mumbai.
Some places making someting like this, they'd forgo the wrap, maybe serve it with puri or pav.
That's a lot of fucking butter for breakfast
"heart attack" waiting to happen
its not meant to feed just one person, thats enough for 4 people
Man!!! That's enough for me alone.
That's because Gordon is "French-trained". French cuisine typically involves a lot of butter in their dishes, even though this is an Indian inspired dish.
Gordon was trained in Nouvelle Cuisine which doesn't use a lot of butter. This is just for fatties on youtube.
hot pan and a stick of butter
dude
Montana Spring
Tsssss 🔥
Montana Spring hh
Hahahaha fucking funniest shit i've read on this channel so far there pepe.
fs I don't get it
According to.title, it is not an indian dish but only indian spices were used. So keep calm and enjoy it.
He is advertising taco as an Indian Street food
Abhishek Singhal Umm... It's a dish inspired by Indian street food, not Taco Bell breakfast tacos.
It's an Indian dish with different dressing.
Are ye anda roll hai😂
His name is not Gordon Ramsay. It's Gaurav Rambharose 😂
😁
Can't believe someone thought the exact same random shit like I did. 😂
🤣🤣... Or gaurav ramnath...
No, it's Ganesh Ramalingam! He is South Indian! 😂🤣
Instead of Gaurav it can be Govardhan Rambharosey
that amount of butter; Americans approve.
You are damn right!
Jojo 1 it was only like a tablespoon lol
He added butter like 3 separate times... and in total it looks like almost a full stick.
The reason Westerners are fat is because of all the sugar we eat, has nothing to do with butter or oil.
Backwards i only counted two, and each one was about a tablespoon. so unless the third time which i missed he added around 6 more pieces i doubt it
2:34 "lightly toast your nan..."
Sorry im dead inside i tried making a british joke but clearly it didnt work i apologize
I get it :)
Mine was buried.
Armin Nadery IT WAS A PARATA!
I slapped some butter on my nan
I love how behind all the bluster and bombast of his reality shows, he's really just a cook at heart.
Seeing his love for butter, I think, Gordon must have some lineage in Punjab.
"Little touch of butter" *cuts giant piece of butter* 😂😂😂💀
Bryan Jaldin you realize there were two serves there.
He was tripping butter
plus, you can always add less you know
don't be scared now, he won't jump out of the screen and blowtorch you if you don't(!)
that’s the amount u need in Indian food coz it’s all about flavour.
A fucking metric ton pf butter
Gordon, you have some food on your butter
I’m desi & I made this today & wowww. It’s incredibly good. The only changes I made was that I added mushrooms & didn’t put a 1:1 ratio of garam masala & turmeric, more like 3:1. I didn’t make the yogurt sauce he did. Honestly, didn’t really need a sauce.
It definitely had an amazing flavor profile from the garam masala/haldi eggs, the zeera & mustard seeds in the onions. Y’all gotta try this. 5/5
i tried without the mustard seeds because i couldnt find it, im suspecting it will taste different and better with those, the taste was strong
@@hayimemaishtee mustard is one of the main ingredients of that dish, it doesn'ttaste much but it gives a peculiar taste that and enhances the taste of the dish. I love mustards in food. If you have some Indian(or some south Asian-probably) supermarket near your place, go check it out. Mustard is commonly used spice in india. So it's "everywhere". But may be not in ordinary supermarkets.
A little tip: don't make the sauce. It honestly ruins the sandwich.
@@hayimemaishtee yeah it's definitely the turmeric, usually I've noticed that we don't add too much turmeric, and if we do, we add it with the mustard seeds & cumin, but a little late.
Pan, on. Nice and hot.
Olive oil in.
Some seasoning.
Some butter.
Done.
He drinks a pint of seasoned olive oil butter every few hours thats why hes so fidgetty but it just tastes amazing
Beautiful
John sins what are you doing here?
Gordon's little mannerisms do make me laugh. How he just peacocks around, and rubs his fingertips together every time he mentions how something tastes. 'it's got a real sort of earthy taste' *rubs fingertips 'by sweating the onions you get that sweetness' *rubs fingertips 'that lemon adds that zesty zing' *rubs fingertips together. He's a great cook though. I Just find it mildly amusing when he does these things haha
so true, and when he is cooking he goes mmm so good xDD haha
Vinnosaur Yes I've noticed that too! haha
he's great to watch
Lol yeah, its fun to do impressions of him too
Steve G I've seen this guy on here that does parodies of Jamie and Gordon and they're hilarious. He edits the videos to seem like it's them, but then acts out ridiculous recipes and such. Hard to explain, but yeah lol
The amount of turmeric he put in will over power the garam masala. I personally put much less and add a dash of red chilli powder, coriander powder with cumin.
Shit man well thank god you're an expert chef... oh wait.. you aren't.
Sometimes you don't need to be labelled an expert to tell something
I agree. I don't really like top much turmeric as well
@@RR-bn5wo Just because he's a world renowned chef doesn't mean he knows better than everyone. A Indian mom that has been cooking for her children for years on a daily basis in India, is probably a way better Indian cuisine cook than he will ever be. Stop being so narrow-minded, unless you are a child than you are excused.
@@longan369 he did have episodes of shows where he would try to out cook someone using their own native cuisine. He did pretty well for himself....
My mom would yell at him for scratching the pan with a fork 😢
I was shocked lol, it is also cancerous in long term
@@luriddream Watch adam ragusea's video about non-stick pans
Move over olive oil, Gordon Ramsey has discovered butter
Turmeric in yoghurt won't taste good. It will end up with raw smell... Instead we can use plain hung yogurt with touch of little dry roasted and crusd cumin+coriander+ chilli powder with half lime juice, salt and sugar.. you can add roasted garlic to the yogurt mixture. It tastes just amazing..
you know where its at
afghans do a similar thing with the mint + garlic + bit of salt + lemon + cumin + coriander + bit of chili powder
whats hung yogurt?
fokus9000 yoghurt hung in muslin cloth to remove water from it. Similar to Greek yoghurt in a way
@@foku9000 hanging yoghurt overnight, is how you remove water and add flavour. It's an awesome trick, a bit hard with storebought but if you ever make your own yoghurt give it a shot. Try three or four muslim bags with different flavour mixes. Salt, cumin, garlic, mint are amazing places to start. And sure, mix them once you're a star ;)
fokus9000 the yogurt has a really big dick
Instead of tumeric in that yogurt, its better to add either garlic powder and chilli powder or just chill powder. Or coriander powder.
i'd go with chaat masala, but i'd undersstand if he does not ;)
That "touch" of butter is enough to clog my arteries
Man, i cant wait to cook this. Might even be tastier than humans
or you can play doom on your computer
Cacodemon ya u shld...i am an Indian. and i will tell it tastes amazing..pls cook
thumbs up for the profile pic...
But do not use that much of turmeric. I am an Indian and this will be my advice to you. You can try using a bit of coriander powder too.
Doubt it
I am a bit fussy when it comes to eating but everything he cooks i wanna eat.
Same here, I think it's because we know he's a world class chef so whatever he makes must be fantastic.
PeachyKitten :3 Not surprised :D
PeachyKitten :3 word!!! 😄
This may not be exactly how my mum would cook it but you gotta appreciate the passion with which he can make any style of food.
Fry up lots of spices, ginger garlic paste, onions, green chilli, chopped hard boiled egg. Had it in Madurai, it was heavenly.
Sounds utterly delicious . Must have been so too .
Hard boiled eggs are my nightmare so I will have to pass

AnimeAjay
AnimeAjay, holy shit exposed
at least a half cup of butter lol
man loves his butter
*buttah
maybe he had his central heating turned off
The entire stick is half a cup, so not even close
Am I the only one who cringes when he uses a fork and scrapes a non stick pan?
So painful
I think i had some permanent brain damage by seeing that!
You are not aloonnee!! 😭
I think it's a cast -iron, not teflon non-stick frying pan ;)
I know I'm late to this, but Gordon uses SCANPAN cookware. SCANPANs are safe to use with metal cutlery because they have a special coating on the surface that's super hard and can't be scratched with metal utensils.
He says , "touch and dash" and then adds a ladle full of turmeric and a pound of butter🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
i just took a bite of my laptop
Best comment ever......killed it bruh😅😅🤣🤣🤣
shipmeanywhere “IT’S FUCCCKIN RAW”
I hope you seasoned it, and ofcourse a touch of butter
New Synonym for Touch:- A Shit load
Example:- Add just a touch of butter
Add a shit load of butter
secret ingredient in every delish meal. And yes he uses a fuck ton of butter for that small amounts of food
Who adds turmeric to yoghurt? It's too raw a spice to eat uncooked.
Ramsey suffers from superiority complex. He is a James Bond, typical British.
actually we can but quantity does matter like we put turmeric in milk but in very small quantity
Was disgusted too when I saw someone did it at a hotel I worked but it isnt so bad.
I drink raw tumeric in milk every night. its great.
He is gordon Ramsay one the world's most biggest and respected chef so he might know what he is doing with his dish
When he says little, three grown men in India just got their tummies filled.
I swear we Indians do not use that many spices and butter in our cooking. We'll fall sick if we do.
You're not indian enough then. ik my grandma puts more than that lool
You Indians? Sorry but India is like a cultural continent. That's like saying "We europeans". I do not think that you can actually generalize this.
Cassius96
India is NOT a continent 😂
Indias been generalized for a while while the cultures do differ the overall values are pretty similar and so is the food.
Tanya Y That's why I used "CULTURAL continent". And from a cultural point of view (not from a geographical point of view) it is continent. Like Europe. Just look at the languages. Over 100 languages are spoken in India. According to the Indian government there are 122 languages (according to other sources the number is even higher). Also Hinduism is not really "a religion". Actually it is a word used to describe a whole bunch of religions and not just one. According to my professor in university (who has a PhD in Indology and lived 17 years in India) there are also cultural differences from region to region.
1: Butter. IN
2: repeat 1
Please tell me your name is actually FUCKING RAW
With all due respect Gordon turmeric in curd is right out absurd. We don't do that in India. Turmeric as a rule is always eaten cooked except for medicinal purposes.
He must think he needs to invent some fancy twist everytime to impress the viewer/customer, even if that has nothing to do with the original cuisine of that foreign food. It just need to be "indian" enough for his western audience.
People only realise he doesn't know what he's doing only when he tries to imitate some exotic recepies which they know about. As an Italian it's been appalling to watch him replicate some classic recipes I grew up with. But for his Anglo-american audience I guess that would do the job.
Yeah I thought the same very weird move! Might work who knows. He always likes putting his own twist on things.
@@fulippuannaghiti1965 I don't think he tries to replicate. He always says how he likes to do his own take on recipes he's seen around the world.
Raw turmeric in that yogurt will make it taste weird also the amount of turmeric in the eggs will be overpowering. However roasted cumin powder (ofcourse has to be right proportion) will do wonders in that yogurt than the turmeric...
Finally no zoomed camera! Thank you Gordon
loads so much butter into everything of course it's gonna taste good.
I've always done the same thing but people tell me I'm making the food super unhealthy.
but when ramsay does it it's ok
Code Provider I mean... have you been reading the comments?
Honestly , yes you could reduce the amount of butter but it is a much healthier fat than a cheap oil or margarine. Good fats like extra virgin olive oil and avocado are very healthy and it is a myth that they cause heart disease , diabetes etc, it is SUGAR that's the enemy.
can you enlighten me on clarified butter? It's called ghee in India but I'm not sure if it retains the same nutritional properties that regular butter has.
www.care2.com/greenliving/15-amazing-benefits-of-ghee.html Ghee is great fat to use and this source has a long list of them
There's ghee made from dairy and a cheaper quality version made from vegetables that has oxidized cholesterol and trans fats in it (Avoid this). Pure ghee from dairy has many great properties but if more than 10% of your daily calories are ghee it can still increase bad cholesterol ex. 200 calories (2 tblsp) in a 2000 calorie/day diet. hope this helps.
I just made this for lunch and it was unspeakably delicious. Thanks Gordon!
He should’ve completed his experience by subbing that orange juice for chai ☕️
I’m from India and this is the first time I’m hearing about this dish😂
Cuz it is a dish made using Indian spices, not Indian dish.

he only added turmeric and garam masala?
garam is garam to some
One spoon garam masala makes it spicy enough... Actually 1/2 spoon was more than enough for that amount of curry
@@bsangeetha8889 did you cook it the Gordon did? Would love to hear your comment
Well turmeric and garam masala are called spices, are they not?
@@kjragg1099 Exactly. The title says spiced, not spicy🙄
Thank you Gordon for making Indian cooking accessible to all of us, Westerners! When I was visiting a Japanese friend from Osaka, her adorable grandma looked me and said in Japanese: where would we Europeans and Westerners be without Asian gastronomy? She thinks that the French and other Europeans know nothing about food and they have copied all their know-how from the Orient. When you look at how the Arabs and the Levantine countries ( today Lebanon, Syria, Palestine/Israel) have influenced Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Greek cooking, you realize how right she is. I love Indian, Japanese, Thai, Lebanese and Moroccan gastronomies. They are so rich and flavor !
I honestly want to see how much better Gordon puts in popcorn.
A little bit of butter x100
i wish ramsay would open a street food cart. i would visit 3x a day

Wow. That’s actually the first time I saw Gordon Ramsay uses literally a table spoon of olive oil as he says.
Thaibiohazard123 but he made up for it with the butter
Looks like he is so much mesmerized by Indian food after staying in here for some time...being Indian let me tell u that he has done this egg perfectly in Indian style...he has actually learnt "tadka" that's frying condiments at the star of any spicy dish...it's really hard to absorb making style of every different continental food...and he has achieved that...thumbs up..
His Scottish roots really come out when he says yogurt
look at the rest of the kitchen thats a college kids dream to have that much food...
