Dang, I love those shots, the footage looks amazing! How where you able to get your hands on one? Would love to test out the Ember on my channel as well, any people I could reach out to?
Been waiting to see some real life footage from this thing and very impressed. Thanks for putting in the time and effort to show us what it’s capable of. Time to bust out the AMEX after seeing this. The macro lens is mega, too.
This is really dope! I really need to get my hands on one of these caemras!!! the level of crisp detail is just bonkers!!! I love the song choice too, you can really see how this camera is going to make everything look so epic! Like I wanna shoot a commercial with this exact vibe! it would just feel so emotional and important!
what lens were used for this? honestly your work is amazing. this has sold the camera for me. just goes to show the camera is dam perfect if you expose right, and if you dont well the end result is there
Looks really excellent and substantially better than the Wave with the DR ! Just trying to get my head around the work flow ? Is there a pre-record or end trigger function with the Ember, often vital for high speed shots with uncontrollable subjects and to avoid wasting tons of footage ?
Very cool. How is the UI and monitoring? Can you delete clips in camera, is there "end trigger" (instead of the painful "hard roll") and does it output better DR than rec709 to an external monitor?
Yes had the same question with the work flow and wondered if there was either a pre-record or an end trigger function to catch the money shot and not waste realms of run up time ?
How did you find exposing for the Ember? I can’t get enough light in at iso 400 with a fast f1.8 lens in overcast conditions. Is this a full sun or extreme studio lighting cam only?
Sounds like your lens isn’t actually at 1.8? Is it a manual iris lens? Some lenses you need to pull off your camera at the iris you want while it’s still turned on so it doesn’t automatically close or set back to default. This thing worked great in cloudy conditions and my min iris was much higher than that
Thanks for the reply. I can confirm with a manual f2 lens which also is way underexposed in overcast conditions. I hope there is something I’m missing…
@@oltjp Interesting. Well that confirms my suspicion that something may be up. I'll follow up with Freefly. Thanks so much for the feedback. Super helpful. Cheers.
Damnn really clean footage. I've seen a couple reviews of this camera and your footage blows them all out of the park!
So glad you're enjoying the Ember!! We really put our soul into it.
You can tell!! When I heard there was another cam coming after the Wave, I knew it was going to be something special. Blew everyone's socks off!

Insane/Gorgeous ❤
Superb. Can you get some stuff better than 422 out of it? Also, what is the bit depth?

Great subject matter.
So awesome dude!🤘🏼
Neeeed one of those cameras 🎉
Stunning footage! Did you use the HLG or 709 color mode? Looks like you can make it pop quite nicely
Thank you thank you! 709 for all of this. Yes, you can push this image a ton! Crazy sharp still.
Yes!
Good job!
please do a review on this cam!!
Critics knock the Ember's image quality... but this reel looks better than most Komodo footage I see around town.

Not gonna lie, those shots were pretty epic.
Thanks Jamil! Was a wild week of capturing
Greeat to see something in focus,, your final frames rate look more like 400FPS for the sports stuff?
Good eye, I conformed the shots to 29.97 from 24 loosing frames
@@oltjp You really make this camera appealing, the global shutter at that speed is sooo good for action shooting..
Really not bad at all. The DR is much better. Nice colors. Nice shots!
It's unbelievably better, completely new expierence! Thanks Scott!

OMG🤤
nice😊

Made a video to illustrate the point here. ua-cam.com/users/shorts0HOkGEmyNZA?feature=share
@@nickgraalman3795 what mm? Seems odd for sure, I was blown away how much light it absorbed, exposed perfectly on a cloudy day at 500mm f4 prime

4x the camera, seriously it's a whole new ball game
@@oltjp thanks man thinking of upgrading so youve sold me on it!
@@SilvaGoof hyped to hear that! You won’t be disappointed, I’m absolutely blown away by this experience, it’s wild to me that it’s real to be honest
Just gotta save the coin and hope FF will still take the Wave back 😅😅
Why slomo specialized cameras look so sharp?
