I've lost count of how many times I've heard this and still get goosebumps when Parabola kicks in
Same
Idem❤
Sounds 🏳️🌈
Welcome to today's life lesson at TOOL School, We all know that Maynard is a top level lyricist BUT this is the ONE! The Parabola represents the ashes to ashes, dust to dust, start to finish, the Parabol is what you do in between, your life, your story. And perhaps the greatest lyric ever, "Recognize this as a Holy Gift and Celebrate the chance to be Alive and Breathing"
I think if more people understood that line they would be much happier.
Hear, hear!!!
Life is temporary and so is pain. The moral of this song. Favorite tool song combo
The greatness of this band won’t be realized for a while. You’re in though. You guys get it. I count my stars that I walked the earth at the same time these guys did. There are people; ‘rock people’, who didn’t live to 1992. They never got to hear the places that a band could go. This band takes us to all the places. The highs. The lows. The in betweens. Lucky us.
I’ve been waiting for this reaction for the longest time. The smile on your wife’s face when she knew the drop was coming. Great reaction. This song is so spiritual if you can listen to it in your own time. Got me through some extremely dark days after the death of my daughter.
Nothing like Tool and not sure there ever will be. Great reaction vid, as always 🤘🏼👁🌀🌀🌀
All the time, but nobody does intros and transitions with music like tool the way they set. The mood with their songs is unbelievable .great review you two always do the best.
Watching y’all evolve just like this song does
Wow.. This is up there in the top three best TooL songs ever.. Thanks guys. Seeing this live was deep.
Saw this live just before covid in Melbourne, was unbelievable. My favorite TOOL song, its beautiful and brutal at the same time.
I think this song has more meaning to a person as they age
The absolute best 2 song run on, ever!!!, ever!!!
Tool is on another level I missed out on so much of their stuff they are very deep
You haven't missed out, it's all there for you to experience! I wish I could discover them for the first time, again.
@@bubbasboyngirl Me too. I became a fan years ago in 1993 when Undertow came out. I’m so jealous of people who are experiencing Tool for the first time. There is nothing like that initial rush and feeling that you are hearing something unique and utterly beautiful.
Tool has a tap to my spirit man. They plug in and go to work leaving me reconstructed every time into something new and different. Adam and Justin with their guitar and bass, creating the vibration of molecules that allow Danny's drum rolls to spiral down into the primitive unevolved parts of me, reconfiguring my perspectives of who I am and what makes me tik. Thats the best way I can describe Tools music.
Magic.
Can’t wait for the day your wife gets to react to ticks and leeches and wings for Marie part 1 and 2
You were spot on. Shrooms. Acid. ayahuasca. Peyote. It’s spiritual. The low tone hmmmm is like a Gregorian chant, and so is Maynard’s range.
Why are the words moving
Every time I watch someone open the door to TOOL, it gives me so much joy. Watching you guys enjoy this song is ALMOST as good as the time I heard it for the first time.🤘
This song live kills at another level
thanks for doing my request!
Thank you..I’ve been asking for this for a while..Dylan has his car one but not one with wifey-until now 👍
We had a blast with this one -Thank you!!!!
Definitely one of my favorite Tool songs 👍👍
TOOL!! Man the way Parabol starts brings back so many thoughts. So blissful and relaxing 🤘🏼✌🏼
💯!!!
@@enitaly thanks for what you guys do!
Hey man I think you suggested a song through cash app? If so DM us on our Instagram about it 🤘
Tool yeees
Ive seen Tool 7 times now and every show is an out of body experience for me! I will never forget seeing them do this in 2002 live!
Seen them twice now, and each time is better than the other! Hopefully I get one more time, maybe two…
Easily my favorite concert by any artist I’ve been to thus far
its the drugs bro not this boring ass music
@dvvaughn564 "No amount of wind could begin to cover up your petulant stench and demeanor." Another quote made just for you Dvvaughn.. Thanks Maynard!
blah blah blah
@dvvaughn564 Yep.. thats how I expected a person with your intellect to respond. Thank you for validating my theory. You can look all these big words up to know what im referring to. Have a good day! They say ignorance is bliss.. is it?
Fuck yeah dude! Love y'all and the channel, don't ever stop!!
Have never heard any music as great as Tool's.
First ! , Awesome reaction as usual.
Greetings from Chile Dylan 😌
Definitely next level shit!!
Game Over as always with Tool. Easily one of their most positive and uplifting songs.
Hell yes! Love you guys! Got here quicker than the flash, to see this.
Great reaction to the musical journey that Tool brings 🤘😃
🤘
Sonic and lyrical wizardry! Your smiles brought massive 😭!!! Love love love this....
Thank you!
Finally!!!!!!!!
This is definitely one of the best songs on the album 💯🔥🧯🚒💪😈
Tool, everytime you listen to one of their songs, it just gets better and better, they are true artists
I'm just so grateful for this man and these sounds. These healing and glorious sounds.
Maynard is love. This whole band is love ❤️
Another killer ass song and another kick ass reaction from you guys!!! Tool is Tool and they just put us in a place!! And y’all always rock it!!! Loved the reaction again my friends! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🍻🍻
remembering the car days :')
I love both of your shirts! And these songs ❤️
Thanks Sara🤘
Thank you!
It's pretty quiet, but note the sound of the frogs and crickets in Parabol and the end of Parabola. It's all about life! In concerts they have it playing and moving through the stadium sound system and it's trippy as hell.
Top 5 fav Tools songs for me. one of my first songs I learned on this album, it took me years. such an amazing song, and the video is just chef's kiss.
Let’s fucking gooooooooooo!
Fuck man, if i had just heard this 5 months ago my life would be completely different. Shit was wild for me back then, for sure.
🌀🌀🌀🧘🧘🧘✊✊✊ I’m always so thankful for Tool
Hello TOOL ARMY ✌️
I just came across this song when I was at the gym this week…. Greatest outer body anabolic preworkout experience
Greatest live band in History
👏👏👏👏👏
You must be young
I think you guys have earned the right to just listen to Tool on your own time! I mean, we love having reaction videos, but Tool has been one of your favorite bands for how long now?! Treat yourself!
This might have been the first Tool song I really heard. I remember hearing that second chorus so many times in the menu of Guitar Hero.
Love how you two get to jam together and enjoy the same music. I always have cat fights with the SO over who gets the aux cord 😂
😂
Embrace this moment, remember: we are eternal, all this pain is an illusion
Save the music videos for after you've listened to the track a few times. You don't want to distract from the music, and later on the music will just take on new meaning with the music video.
Spiral Out, Keep Going!!
Love the reaction!! This song had me like this too!! So good man! Keep up the good work!
TIME IS IRRELEVANT WHEN YOUR EXPERIENCING THEIR ART. IT NEVER LOSES ITS MEANING, DEPTH, AND THE HOLD IT HAS ON YOU FROM THE FIRST LISTEN ON
Always spiral out with the music before watching the vids! Great reaction
Tool..🔈🔉🔊🔊🎧🔥💥👽constantemente em meus fones
That screen capture behind them should be a character in the MCU.
Seen them 11 times since late 95 with the last time being the first leg on the 10K tour and it never gets old. Each time is transcendent.
been with you for awhile now. still love the channel keep up the great work. cheers from oz
That Voice is so amazing no Words
Falling in reverse - Watch the world burn
Trust me, this one you don’t want to miss out.. holy shit, this is new level of music. Ronnie fucking Radke
This song 🔥🔥🔥 One of Tool’s greatest masterpieces. Sounds amazing live. Great review guys!
This song is my rock. Anytime I need to reset, I sit and listen. Everything is better then... 😉
Thank you for allowing me to vicariously experiance Tool with you guys. The inclusion of the didgeridoo along with the sounds of the treefrogs croaking in parabol is simply beautiful and that transition between songs sends chills up my spine each and every time. This entire track, for me, is like a 9 ½ minute ASMR trip.
You really want to see the octopus armed master of polyrhythmic paradiddles in action, i highly suggest watching (maybe even reacting to) Dannys drum cam by Vic Firth, where hes playing Pneuma during a concert. Absolute perfection.
Keep spiraling out🤘 On the wing of will and whim, you may just go where no ones been.
I know, it doesn’t make sense that was three years ago. That’s how long they’ve been holding out so that each reaction is really the first time I guess. Ha ha!
How in the world did I never notice the frogs after all these years. Amazing
@@zoerose3478 😁
I've been waiting for someone to finally notice the absolute genius drumming at 7:32 forever
bless you!
My favorite Tool quote is "Your favorite Tool song is the one you're currently listening to! "
The last few guitar notes were an homage to the song Roundabout by the band Yes… 🤘🏻
Interesting! Didn’t know that.
Pain is an illusion ! Spiral out !
This is my favorite
I wish I had someone who feels the music the same way I do, just like you both. You guys are so lucky
The UK trip hop artist Tricky loved the band so much he asked to appear in the video. Love this channel, the enthusiasm for sounds kept me hooked it opened me up to alot of music that I used to think was a bit crap. Still can't get away with alot of the growling, think it's a bit naff, but some of the musicianship that the bands this channel cover & the sonic soundscapes & noise that they generate are phenomenally powerful.
I'd like to see you guys maybe dip into some other genres though. maybe check out some of Tricky's stuff with Massive Attack (Trip hop) Unfinished Sympathy being a biggie of theirs.
I'd also recommend dipping your toe into some math rock (TTNG - If I sit still maybe I'll get out of here Live on Audiotree) is a good place to start.
And the art pop of Aurora covering Massive Attacks Teardrop live on Like A Version or London Grammar doing their song Hey Now on KEXP.
Keep up the great work guys & travel safe. ❤❤
Also, that Deftones shirt is awesome
The spirit speaking about it's physical body and it's struggle to hang on to it's life and human sense's
These are the songs that got me into Tool (Parabol/Parabola) when I was like 13-14. I remember working some job that summer (kid 13/14-year-old job, obviously) and getting my first paycheque of $120. I went to the local Canadian store that sounds CDs called A&B Sound and bought my "no skip" disk man with 3 CDS. Tool - Ænima, Tool - Lateralus, and Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American (because I really liked that song, The Middle.) The nostalgia dopamine hit is real in your video.
Music is still fire as fuck. Love it. Great reaction. Subbed.
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo We Are Here!!!!
I do think that Lateralus, with all due respect to all metal genres and subgenres bands all over the world, is the best metal / progressive metal album out there and that no other metal album could top the mix of spirituality, vocal richness, drums, guitar and bass skills, deep lyrics, it's a whole experience to live where organic process evolve around mindful human beings capable to breathe creativity at its utmost and balancing cosmic energies, fuck, it's a master piece 🤫, with all Tool videos you've done in the past, I thought that you've already did that song and you did right by letting it sink in a part of your brain because it should be appreciated with every tiny bit of its soul. With all the love you deserve 🤘
I was shocked to see you all have not done this. Definitely in their top 10 if not top 5. Great reaction.
The music video featured another brilliant artist, Tricky.
Saw them play Parabola in Nov. 2019 before covid, it was great. Saw them again in 2021 and they had a completely different set except for the songs from Fear Innoculum. They played the Grudge and the Patient.
The best way to hear a new Tool song is no lyrics, no video. They are one big instrument. Let them take you on the ride and go back later to dissect it.
💯
The TOOL rabbit hole goes deep!🤘
Off topic but that Deftones shirt is dope!
Not all Tool songs are complex.
This one is a hard driving, rock and rollin celebration of this existence on this planet. So well played and that chorus just gets stuck in your head.
GAME OVER MAN...GAME OVER.
Spiral out
🌀
6:20 that tasty double peddle
the tool breakdown - prob second to none 7:15
As far as I see you havent checked Jambi yet. It is a must :)
If you play it all at .75 speed, it's so much darker and creepier
Parabola goes right into Ticks & Leeches which we would love to see
... the mic set up recording their voices has a really unique sound on headphones.
Maybe it's... unusually clean?
(Can you tell I'm not used to watching videos created by audio geeks)
It's so GOOD.
If anyone feels like infodumping about what goes into creating such clean, lovely voice recordings, I'm curious. ❤
I just needed to re-listen to this track, but no longer have anything to play a CD on. It was lovely to enjoy with some friendly internet strangers.
That’s right
🤘🏻🌀
🤘
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I think its long past time for you guys to react to the band Heilung
breakitdown part 2 9:16
It’s a little like heroin. You will never be able to experience the first time you hear the transition to Parabola from parabol again
Big boi/gir music turn it up ..and I don’t mean the music 🔨💪🏻
They follow that up with ticks and leeches then Lateralus. Ticks and leeches is kind of out of place ℹ the album but I understand why they did it, similar to Hooker with a Penis in Aenima
the beginning sounds like a sort of an ultrasound, a womb experience so to speak?
Adam Joes did the video and Alex Gray did the art work
Put them lyrics up will blow your mind x2
