World's Best Churros From Churrería El Moro in Mexico City Since 1935!

- Dreams do come true - there is a place in Mexico City where you can get churros and hot chocolate all day, every day. Churrería El Moro, a CDMX institution since 1935, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week at their location in the historic center. (Nowadays, this 85-year-old pastry shop has many more locations around town, but the original café is the only shop open all night long.) Churrería El Moro is by far the best place for churros in the city, and it’s so fun to watch the entire mesmerizing process of making them. The churro batter is made of only three ingredients - water, salt, and flour. It’s squeezed into a bath of hot oil in the shape of a “rosca”, a spiral, and fried for 8 minutes on each side. When it’s done cooking, they take it out and cut it up into pieces and sprinkle it with sugar or cinnamon sugar before serving. This iconic sweets shop serves many varieties of their famous churros (and even churro ice cream sandwiches!) as well as a variety of dips - dulce de leche, vanilla, and chocolate. We loved dipping the churros in hot chocolate - so rich and delicious!

I love churros! Perfect tub snack
Haha, yes!
I loved watching them swirl the dough. And those dipping sauces looked great!
It's so mesmerizing! We went to the original location first and just knew we had to make a video about it!
They're great! I discovered them by accident on my first trip to Mexico City, and now I go there multiple times during every visit!
We will definitely go back every time too!
Amazing - these look so good! Definitely don’t have enough churros in my life.
Love you videos!
We can all use a little more churros!
Amazing, love the churros and hot chocolate. Great video 🍫

Kaitlin is very beautiful. I like her eyes!

Amazing 💕
Have you tried these?
@@andersandkaitlin not yet!! I’m far far away from Mexico! 😄
@@manuelomichmich4137 hopefully one day! :D
Great video as always! I was there 4 years ago and it was fantastic. Only mistake was going there in the afternoon of the same day we had the tasting menu at Pujol... too much food haha
Just to correct a little detail, the vanilla dipping sauce you mention in the video is straight condensed milk. They have all the dipping sauces listed in their website and they only have chocolate, cajeta or condensed milk :) hope this helps!
Haha, you only make that mistake once! And yes, we know it's condensed milk, and I knew this comment would come, haha. Just wasn't possible for us to cut it out because that was recorded on the spot. ;)
So sweet 好吃😋
So tasty!
IM SO JEALOUS! In my country there is 1 rest. that sells churros and the portion is SMAL
Which country do you live in?
@@andersandkaitlin Serbia! We have this place called "Burrito Madre", which is a recently established chain of restaurants. Whats funny is that Mexicans would probably not like the way the burritos are made, as we essentialy copied the Amers chipotle. So you can think of it as Serbdized version of Americanized Mexican food. So yeah, its a mess. But its actually pretty damn tasty and the portions (of the burritos) are big. However the churros are a real dissapointment
@@LyraYT Haha, that's funny! Cultures colliding.
I am always so scared and intimidated to watch your video because they make me so unbelievably hungry!!!!!!! :D

@@suminchelin That's great to hear! :D

The ice cream with it may be delicious, but for me it is too far removed from eating aesthetics :(
Eating is about fun and flavor foremost!

Excuse me , "churros" are a typical spanish dish (from Spain), and of course we make the best of the world; maybe you need to travel a little more, to have less anti spanish prejudice, and above all you must realize spanish cooking ranks among the best of the world; if you want to praise Mexico culture, you have tacos, burritos, etc...
We travel for a living, but thanks for the recommendation. ;) We've been to Spain and tasted the best churros there (according to local foodies), and we just happen to prefer these Mexican churros. That's our opinion. You are entitled to your own opinion, but you make me wonder, is your opinion based on you having tasted the best churros from both worlds, or does it maybe have something to do with patriotism? For the record, we have nothing against Spain or Spanish food - no idea where you got that assumption from. We love Spain, Spaniards, and Spanish restaurants.
