I was a Cleric apologist for the longest time, but holy fuck, they need to go. With that said, I am only saying this because solo cleric is ass for the most part. Do something about magical healing altogether, cut it in half, and then make it so that healing is applied over time like with potions or druid healing, and finally there needs to be a "healing sickness" debuff after getting healed that starts at like 10 and ticks down over time - the more stacks you have, the less effective incoming healing is, to prevent repeated healing like the one that allowed the 8:30 clip to happen
I think IM doesn’t need to lower magic healing or the cleric heals that much but rather add actual ways for classes to apply anti healing. I think it would be better for rogue to have its anti healing on cut throat and it’s similar to BoC. Warlock curse of weakness should also apply a 50% anti healing. More classes should be given anti healing options rather than nerfing mhealing
@@shaynezeller7069 Why? Why not just nerf magic healing? Even just a handful of magic healing is ridiculous on Warlock. A handful of magic healing is good on Cleric, but 12+ is just ridiculous. Why band aid fix it by giving classes anti heal when you can instead just make healing itself much more reasonable? Some classes in this game have to really try hard to not get hit. Meanwhile HP recovery is gruesome, with potions only healing a fraction of your health, at a very slow pace, and you have to slowly heal through bandages. It's not a "grab an HP pack and you're at full health" type game (health shrine is an exception) - so to begin with, ridiculous, instantenous healing goes against the entire atmosphere and spirit of the game

The issue with nerfing the stat magic healing and not the classes is similar to nerfing weapons because of one class. For example how bs would it be if demons glee or crystal ball got nerfed because fighter was abusing it rather than nerfing fighters interaction with it. Another thing is if you nerf magic heal then very niche builds might not be possible. Ik stacking a lot of mheal and potion chugger on barbarian isn’t very good but imo it’s not good to nerf things that many different classes can use.

Did you ever notice that things like health potions already only have 0.5 scaling on the magical healing they do? Nerf magical healing, because the most prominent uses of them (Cleric and Warlock immediately come to mind) are both broken, particularly with scaling. Then make potions have 1.0 scaling, et voila. Of course this would imply enough competence on Ironmace's part to not forget about the "smaller" things such as potion's scaling, which is wishful thinking, but we're theorycrafting here anyway. When it comes to Warlock in particular, I enjoy the theoretical idea of a dark spellcaster regaining health by draining mobs. In reality, this means that the Warlock from the start has played a different game from the rest of the classes, just like Bard and especially Druid (Bard being a relatively minor offense in that sense, imo). I dont know a solution, but I think that Warlock in the way its currently implemented is wrong and doesnt fit into the game, so if it were up to me, I would remove healing from mobs altogether, at least in the form its currently in game
