The Swedish Grippen is a better choice of fighter for the current situation. The F-16 which requires a 8000 foot runway not mention air superiority to be highly effective. The Grippen can operate from unimproved roadways and doesn't need nearly as much room to take off. It ALSO takes a rather large ground crew to keep the F-16 in the air. The Grippen can be rearmed/refueled by four guys only two of them have to be highly trained. It can also be shipped quicker then ferrying F-16's from the east coast of the U.S.
Very capable airframe. The problem is numbers. Grippen in service as at 2016 was only 158. Operators such as Brazil, Hungary and South Africa will obviously not provide any since they are all pro-Russia. F16 on the other hand has over 2000 in service (1200 in US alone), most with Ukraine-friendly nations.
The GRIPPEN would be a good choice with an improved flare package. What would be even better would be Burt Rutan's Mud Fighter built with stealth and carbon fiber. The problem with them is they need built before use. So later this year but right now Grippen before f16.

I am very doubtful of Sunak’s real commitment to Ukraine. He always seems to worry about the pennies. At a time like this the pennies don’t matter, the job has to be done to the best of our ability. Not Sunak’s fault, but we are now observing the critical failure of successive administrations to prioritise defense spending, while overspending on easy votes.
They are doing that already. I live in the Netherlands in Rotterdam. And see a lot of F16 plains going to the Nord sea to play fight with the Brits and Denish planes. But it takes a lot of time to know the hows and whats off a plane. But they're doing just that in silence don't worry.

Yes, the climate has been changing for the past 4.5 billion years. The impact upon human populations should be perpetually addressed. The new religion claiming the climate changes are man-made due to CO2 in the atmosphere is a hoax. Cleaning up and maintaining a clean environment is a different issue. We do need to work collectively to keep the air, land, and water clean.
