The deployment of NATO forces to Ukraine would have catastrophic consequences for the entire world, marking the alliance’s formal entry into the conflict against Moscow, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said during a briefing.
"I truly don’t understand it; perhaps it hasn’t occurred to them that sending NATO troops to Ukraine would signify the alliance’s direct involvement in the war against our country. We have repeatedly warned them about this, as it would lead to devastating consequences not just for Europe, but for the entire globe," she remarked, commenting on Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna’s call for sending European forces to Ukraine in a bid to allegedly "facilitate" a peace agreement with Russia.
According to Zakharova, the Estonian minister is inciting other NATO members to engage in a venture that is "bound to fail." "Today, these very NATO nations are intensifying tensions, fueling conflict with the lives of Ukrainian citizens - something they are all too adept at," the diplomat noted.
"Estonia, along with other Baltic nations, belongs to the radical faction of the North Atlantic bloc and continues to make aggressive, inflammatory, and militaristic statements against our country - statements that, by the way, carry a distinctly nationalist undertone," she added.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman also emphasized that it is NATO member states that are actively preventing the Kiev regime from engaging in negotiations with Moscow. "Those who cheer on and applaud the use of long-range weapons against Russia by the Kiev regime - what kind of agreements are they even talking about? How can such ideas even come from the same mind? The truth is, these are reckless and aggressive remarks, rooted in provocation, just like everything the North Atlantic Alliance does," Zakharova concluded.

Another great job guys, however, I do feel that this podcast can be a bit overly precarious to any Russian threat to a wider conflict.
I would ask, without sounding to much like an alarmist, that the podcast considers dedicating an episode to the potential threat of a wider conflict.
What it might look like, a potential chronological timeline of events, and how we the public can both anticipate and prepare for any such scenario.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov blamed on Thursday the Biden administration for the recent escalation in the war with Ukraine, claiming that it "adds fuel to the fire of the Ukrainian conflict, preventing any dynamics toward its completion and using Ukraine as a tool in their hands in their war with the Russian Federation." The United States allowed Ukraine to use long-range missiles to strike Russia last week, resulting in Ukraine firing US-made ATACMS missiles earlier this week.Peskov insisted that Russia "takes a responsible position" regarding nuclear weapons, making "maximum efforts" to prevent a nuclear conflict. He called on other nuclear states to act accordingly and refrain from "engaging in provocative actions."

The US missile defense base in Poland has long been considered a priority target for potential neutralization by the Russian Armed Forces, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated during a briefing.
"Given the level of threats posed by such Western military facilities, the missile defense base in Poland has long been included among the priority targets for potential neutralization. If necessary, this can be achieved using a wide range of advanced weaponry," the diplomat said.
Zakharova stated that the US-NATO construction project, ongoing for nearly a decade with complete disregard to Russian security concerns, has consistently been a focus of Russia's attention. She emphasized that Russia has spent these years preparing countermeasures in response.
Zakharova described the establishment of such a base as yet another blatantly provocative move, calling it part of "a series of deeply destabilizing actions by the Americans and their North Atlantic allies in the strategic sphere."
"This move aligns with the longstanding and destructive practice of advancing NATO's military infrastructure closer to Russia's borders," the spokeswoman stated. "Such actions undermine strategic stability. Coupled with other harmful military-political and military-technical measures aimed at projecting US power thousands of kilometers from its own territory to exert pressure on Russia and other nuclear powers, this inevitably heightens strategic risks and, consequently, raises the overall level of nuclear danger," Zakharova added.
The missile defense complex in Poland
Construction of the missile defense facility in Redzikow began in 2016, with costs reportedly amounting to $850 million for the United States, according to open sources. The facility became operational in December 2023 and was subsequently handed over to NATO. Following the summit in Washington in July 2024, the alliance announced the full operational readiness of the Aegis Ashore complex in Poland.
The Aegis Ashore facility in Redzikow is part of the EPAA (European Phased Adaptive Approach) program for the phased deployment of missile defense systems in Europe. The framework also includes Aegis radar-equipped ships based in Rota, Spain, an AN/TPY-2 radar station in Turkey (on alert since 2011), and another Aegis Ashore facility at the Deveslu base in Romania.

about that ICBM launch, today: If they wanted to go nuclear, they could. I find that opposite to what a lot of experts say, it shows weakness , maybe in the nuclear tech, maybe on the shorter range missile production on Russia's part and not a warning... the more I think of it, the more It shouts "We will not go nuclear because we cannot afford it on any level, so this is the closest we can go, and we plan on doing that more often." . It really shows how scared Putin is of imminent defeat (maybe not on the feild, maybe more politicaly and economicaly on the homefront).

It means NATO people, are firing NATO weapons, into Russia. Without NATO Ukraine would have lost the war already for sure but its not our job to interfere in foreign wars that could see us enter a nuclear war. I see on here all the time people calling and cheering for nuclear war its crazy.

They will be far more powerful than aa suggested and will simultaneously hit literally anywhere. A chemical weapon is another story as is an EMP that would be met with weapons that work and truthfully out number any one country's ability to match. These things were rhetoric earlier in this war, the proxy WW3 one, but like Adolf, once stated they are are resorted to in desperate awareness of losing outright.

United Kingdom (and Ukraine) as signatory of the 1997 U.N. Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention is forced by international law to condemn the use of ANY anti-personnel mines as war crimes, not to present it as something acceptable. This also applies to media outlets based on signatory's countries.

      @evilaquaman День тому

I'm not saying it's okay to used anti-personnel mines but if they are using DBX explosives in the US supplied landmines then they release fumes after a time period, the fumes are result of a reaction which neutralises the nitroglycerine and the explosive effectively turns to a clay line compound. Very different to the French, Russian, Chinese and Brazilian made mines which stay line almost indefinitely.
