Very true. Moving slow. I did my application myself. I am in the state of Arkansas. I file for my green card in July. As of August 20, they said my case is ready to schedule for an interview. Haven't get a interview yet or my work permit.
Still waiting for my wife Green Card interview date, the Dallas office has received approximately a 300% increase in applications, and so the processing times are much longer now. Everyone here in Texas is definitely trying to make themselves immigration legal status. Be patient, it's definitely worth the wait.

Dear La Toya, I really do not understand, USCIS "the receipt date for case inquiry" of I-130 keep going backwards, it used to be June 2009 for category 4, now it is April 2009. How does the system works? While they were processing the applicants who filed in June and they suddenly find applicant who filed 10 years ago in April and they throw away the applicant file who filed in June 2009 and started to process the new found applicant who filed in April 2009? would you please explain?

they changed official wait fir renewal to 180days. So when you receive the receipt it states at the bottom that you are allowed to work for 180days after receipt. That covers you a whole 6months! My area is Chicago and I got the notice but the actual EAD came in less than 2 months. They will surprise you just be patient
TN Zem Man I don’t understand? So am I allowed to work without the EAD then? Even when I have the receipt number? The thing is I did not receive the receipt because of change of address and all so I called them and they just gave me a receipt number so I do not know what the receipt says at the bottom. Please explain this to me.
Remember you will use that EAD to get the social security that you need to begin working. So for a new application you cant work you are right. I was of the opinion you are only renewing. Renewals continue validity if they have the receipt.

Not even an advice that they have received the application? I would consider this alarming. They would normally send a notice to inform you that they have received it with the priority date 2-3 weeks after you mail it. But if you're waiting for approval, i heard thats taking longer than usual.

My I-130 approval came on August 31st 2018. It took 19 months from California Service Centre. Ridiculously slow!!

Hi Alan, in my experiences, a parent-beneficiary is interviewed when they are seeking to adjust status.
From starting to end, it will take 2 and half years in average through green card and 13 months for application through citizenship

So it slowed down? Well i will tell you what slow in I130 filed 2003 and still have 10 or 25 or maybe 40 years more to go

Hi McBean I had interview on 14 August 2018 for my immigrant visa in New Zealand
Every thing was good. Only one thing that I have my birth certificate without my surname and I have my passport with my surname so officer put my case in administrative process and I send my all documents to officer with a letter from India high commission of New Zealand where they wrote about my both names that they have all documents it’s now above 4 months my case still under process can u pls tell me? What should I do now? And how long it’s will take. Thanks
I filled for my work permit August, 2018 & receipt on 16th and have since had my fingerprint but been waiting for my EAD and without job. Missouri service center (Texas state). Any advice please or someone in similar situation who have received his/her EAD. Thanks
My father (who knew nothing about my birth) served in the US air force , in 2017 in did a DNA test and was able to trace my fathers family to new Mexico,( I was born in England) I did a further DNA test with my brother which proved conclusively that we have the same dad ( dad now deceased) I've been told that I'm a US citizen by birth but I'm not sure, any advice out there?
