A DANCER has told of how a routine gynaecologist appointment led to the discovery that she has two complete reproductive systems. As a teenager, Paige, now 20, suffered from irregular periods - but didn't think much of it for years. That was until, aged 18, she went for a checkup, and was immediately referred for an MRI scan, which revealed that she has two vaginas, two uteruses, and two cervixes, separated by a thin piece of tissue called a septum. Initially, medics thought she had uterine didelphys, but it has recently been confirmed that she has a similar, much rarer condition called complete septate uterus. "Doctors hadn't seen a patient like me in 10 years," she said.
Last year, Paige decided to speak out about her condition on TikTok, in a bid to raise awareness. And now, while the complications her condition may present in the future remain unclear - especially when it comes to having children - she is determined to not be held back and has even found love with boyfriend Hugh. She said: "We shouldn't feel like we have to hide our bodies. It's our bodies. We were born with them. Let's talk about it."

My mom had this condition. She did have 3 miscarriages, but then had 3 healthy babies. We were all born early and small but all survived. You are a fighter, you will do great. Thanks for sharing your story!
Your mom had 2 🐱’s, that’s so HOT!!!
@@ironfist458 shut up don’t be creepy
@The Friendliest Android & Styx Cover Band Duo They have to be a troll and if not definitely some weirdo.
Cool didn't ask though
@@Nihilus1025 Neither did we ask for you to comment.
I got diagnosed with two cervixes and two uterus after I gave birth with first baby. My water broke prematurely with all 4 of my kids which were all about 2-3 months early. Fortunately there all healthy but as long as your closely monitored while pregnant anything’s possible! 💕 I wanted to point out as well my second pregnancy I ended up with fraternal twins but they were both squished on one uterus instead of one on both. They came out the earliest out of all siblings but they were healthy and now thriving 1 year olds. Woman’s bodies can do amazing things 🙌🏻
It's uteri or uteruses
A uterus is not like fish or sheep where the plural is the same as the singular.
Yeah I had a mistype. I know how it’s spelt thank you for the info though 👍🏻
@@oceangraybill7810 Well I'm not trying to be an a-hole, it's just that the lady in the video said the exact same thing as you at the start of the video, so, actually I was wondering if it was a common misconception or something
@@AtticusHimself Totally understand. I think it’s just uncommon to use the word uteruses as most of the time it’s just stated uterus. It’s an easy mess up. But yeah I just had typo 😁
@@oceangraybill7810 so is it a functional uterus? The second one? My god I find this disturbing but yet mildly attractive.
I was born with a bi-corniute uterus (2 uteruses). I could have had 2 different pregnancies at the same time. I say this to tell this young lady that I DIDN’T find out until after my 3rd child. Anything and everything IS POSSIBLE❤️❤️
Same here! They didn’t find out until after I had my first. Completely went undiagnosed till I had my c-section and they were shocked when they saw my bicornuate/septated uteruses. Woman’s bodies are amazing. Certainly anything is possible! 💖
What's a threesome like
@The Friendliest Android & Styx Cover Band Duo Yes, it's exactly like no identical twins.
@The Friendliest Android & Styx Cover Band Duo Yeah they are because they both implanted at the same time. There fraternal. I had two eggs release on one side of my uterus. I do know of cases with both sides releasing eggs though and considered to have different due dates. It’s quite amazing what the body can do! 🙂
I also had a bi-corniute uterus, I didn’t find out until I was 3 months pregnant with my son after having an ultrasound and then technician asked me if I had a bi-corniute uterus and I had no idea what she was talking about? My gynaecologist/obstetrician explained things to me in his office and I was told the risks of pre-mature labour, long story short, I did well, then I spent the final 6 weeks in the hospital to be on the safe side, they did a cesarean when I was 38 weeks because my baby was cross-ways and they were not even going to try to turn him because there was not enough data to know if it was even possible for my cervix to dilate to 10 cm seeing it was split in half, so my son was delivered by cesarean and he was 8lbs 4ozs💙.. I got pregnant again and had my daughter at 38 weeks by cesarean section and she was a whopping 9lbs 5ozs💖.. I had 8 ultrasounds each with both my pregnancies to make sure my babies were developing properly♥️..
I didn’t mention that I had a stillborn before both children, he died inuterus at 24 weeks, I didn’t realize he was gone, just that I was not feeling any kicks so they checked me out then did an ultrasound and I ended being induced and finally delivered him the following day, he was only about 1 lb😔.. My bi-cornuite uterus had nothing to do with him passing away.. I eventually had a hysterectomy because I was bleeding or spotting continuously and my ob/gyn said if I was not planning on having more children then it was for the best, I was 40 years old.. My children are now 31 and 32 years old, I am blessed♥️🙏🏼♥️..
Her mother raise her lovely and instilled so much wisdom, compassion, and understanding in her...Paige is amazing. You go girl
She is so brave to share her story, because sadly these kinds of topics are always taken in a jokingly way and it must be so frustating for someone with this condition.
Brave.. doubtful....attention definitely!!!
Im sorry you went through that. I too have met some incompetent drs who wouldnt help me.
People need to learn to laugh at any situation. That’s why our society is so messed up and so tyrannical. Being grounded and having compassion and understanding in every situation is a must to move on in life. But, laughter is always the medicine.
damn!!!! 2 periods...bless your heart and way stronger than i could ever be
I thought having two full formed reproductive systems would make it easier for her to get pregnant? Like you have double the chances? But I guess that’s not the case. I hope she’s able to have kids which ever way that happens. She seems like a very nice girl.
The Doctor Explains it in the video, she can't control or know which system is ovulating so that makes it harder to know which system in which to have sex/inseminate.
@@allennopphotography kind of like setting points, on a system with dual points?
If she could just find a guy with two penises
There was a scenario similar to this in a show called Strange Pregnancies where a women with a similar condition was told she had two reproductive systems by her doctor while she was miscarrying her 1st pregnancy. The doctor told her she would probably have a difficult time conceiving because of her condition, but a few months later she got pregnant again and that time it turns out she had a baby in both of her uteruses!
@@Saturn890 how did that work out?
Did she give birth?
@@necilya Yes she gave birth to both of her babies one was born a healthy 6 lbs the other was a smaller premie sized baby, but both ended up surviving and thriving. You can see Mama Doctor Jones reacting to that episode on her UA-cam channel.
Why wouldn’t she share her story?? This is so beautiful and empowering!! She deserves all the love and support she can get. Her and her boyfriend are absolutely beautiful!!
How is this empowering?
@@marcelafuentes3764 she has two VJ’s
@@marcelafuentes3764 it’s because she seems like a nice put together young woman
It’s empowering because when a woman is told she may never be a mother it can be traumatizing and she is inspiring women with the same medical issues or with fertility issues really she is beautiful and very empowering
@@marcelafuentes3764 It helps people realise that human bodies have variation.
I have this same condition, 33 married 10 years and no children. I am not ready to go through everything or trying to conceive. It’s good to hear others have had good experiences with pregnancy and this condition.
@The Friendliest Android yes very much, i have other health conditions and it makes pregnancy seem pretty scary
This woman is inspirational and I love her bravery.
Poor thing! She seems like such a sweetheart! I hope she’ll have a happy and fulfilling life!
My sister in law was born with 2 uterus and she had to not get pregnant in both at same time. She had lots of trouble becoming pregnant but she did. Praying all goes well for you
I remember a teacher in high school that said she had two uteruses and three kidneys and some numerous extra ribs, that would cause problems and she would have to periodically have surgeries to get them removed.
She said that she was half of a set of identical twins and for whatever reason, the other twin didn't develope but she got some of the extra "parts"
I've never heard of it anything like that since. She was a mother of seven children.
😮😮😮😮
Had a classmate who had a similar thing going on. Twin, used to be triplet. They got an extra kidney out of the deal.

God "blessed" her with two reproduction systems. I wouldn't be asking for anymore "blessings l" from God, if I were you.
@@Locutuswe all have imperfections that’s because we live in a fallen world seperated from God.
@@alykat-101 Which god? There are 1,000s.
@@Locutus there is only one true God, He made his power and authority known by rising from the grave. that is how we can differentiate which God is real and which god’s are mimicking the one true God. only one rose from death. only one suffered for our sake.
@@alykat-101 If you're referring to the Abrahamic god, he didn't rise from the grave, his son Jesus did.... Jesus was not a god, he was your god's prophet/messenger and son.
I want to know why your god decided to split Judaism to form Christianity? What was wrong with Judaism that he created a new religion?
I remember being 19 and having half of my reproductive system removed because of a large cyst on my ovary due to PCOS. Being that young and learning I might not be able to have children was devastating. I feel her pain.
Im guessing thats your baby in the pic with you? So happy for you girl 😊
I had a girlfriend (she was in her mid-twenties) whose gynecologist misdiagnosed with having something wrong with her uterus. He subsequently removed it, and it was only then he realized it was perfectly fine. This happened before I met her, but it weighed on her just terribly. It happened in the eighties, so she never thought she could sue the guy.
My aunt has the condition she has 5 kids 2 miscarriages
Stay strong
I admire your attitude, your willingness to share this condition.
She can absolutely still have a baby. Using a surrogate mother will still make her a mother but without the risk to her and the baby.
Can I see it, never crossed my mind...but these questions did
1. Do they only work in conjunction?
2. Is there a septum?
3. Was she a Twin?
4. Can she Sync with herself?
5. Is there a longer menstrual cycle with more eggs being released?
As I have this condition hope this helps.
1. The two uterus don't necessarily work in conjunction
2. The doctor mentioned the septum. In my case there is a a septum between the vaginas.
3. Is she a twin? I don't know but this condition is caused by a glitch during development in womb. We all actually start with 2 wombs and during development the two become one one but occasionally it doesn't happen
4. She probably is synced with herself
5. Menstrual cycles can be different for everyone. In my case I did tend to have heavier periods ever other month and my cycles were a bit irregular but were still of average length. Hope that helps
Gosh broke my heart when she got emotional. You can tell she wants to be a mama. You are perfect ❤️🙏

My lovely cousin was born with the same conditions. Unfortunately her long term partner broke up with her for that ( I still don't know why?) Apparently due to the fact that she can't have children (while it's possible but harder than a woman without the condition).
It ruined her self confidence and self worth and made her afraid of relationships.
This happened when she was 26. Now, 5 years later, she is starting to accept herself.
I pray every woman affected finds a great doctor and have a supportive family, and partner ❤️
If she's not tell her to hit me up I wouldn't mind trying
Makes her even more unique! Love it!
This condition is so special! I never heard that! God bless you and you look such an amazing person! ❤️ Never let anyone bring you down 🥰 stay the best even if it’s with 2 periods! 😘

Some of thee comments on here are so disgusting and immature. Also, it clearly shows how little people know about women's reproductive systems and how much we would benefit from better sex education.
That's why it's better to ignore them. Just waist of brain cells xx
Thank you!!🙌🏻 I have the same condition and it’s not what people think it’s like. Some people don’t even know they have it till they get pregnant.
@@fatimawales8735 yup. Exactly why I'm pro choice. Some people stay a clump of cells even after they are born

2 PERIODS? That has to be HARD-
God bless you. You are in Gods hands.
I just found out I have this same condition I cried for 3 weeks straight
I mean if she like it, good for her, but if she doesn't I think we should support her decision
I think she's great, I wish her well.
I had a Bicornuate Uterus a full heart shape. I elected not to get the surgery because they didn't know a lot about it 30 years ago. They said it would be a 50% chance either way. I have one child delivered at 7 months but was mostly bed resting and had to take brethine every 4 hours. I'd say try before you get the surgery you're still young.
What is really weird about this girl is not her "condition". Weird thing is the way how she tells her story while crying of pain but still keeps her fake smile. Americans.
she and her boyfriend are amazing
i wish all the best for you
Such a travesty for this so happen to an incredibly strong and absolutely stunning young woman.

My sister lost both Fallopian tubes due to 2 pregnancies where the baby wasn't growing on the womb but on her Fallopian tubes.
She was told that she could only have a baby by ivf. She and her husband decided to wait for a year in hopes they could still conceive naturally.
3 months later she got successfully pregnant with twins.
These things are really a wonder, don't stop hoping ❤️
Ya know Hugh feels like the luckiest guy on the planet
My only question is why you waited until 18 to have your first gynecological exam? I have a daughter and she was going to the woman doctor much earlier than that.
