Hi Billyvn99, Thank you for the video. I did exactly what you said and opened and cleaned out my 2004 Acura TL DVD Navigation Drive lens. And it worked! My NAVI has been down for the last three years, and now it's working correctly. Thank you for posting this video and for giving me the encouragement of fixing my NAVI!
I have a 2005 honda accord and cleaning the lense worked for me. All I took off was the outside metal casing by removing several screws and that was it. I managed to fit a q-tip with some hydrogen peroxide between the metal plate he points to at 2:12. I didn't remove any other piece and I put the case back on and it works perfect now.
The piece in the middle where it holds the DVD I guess, well I made the grave mistake of taking the screw out of it and believe me when I say that it is a royal pain to get that part back together. The video helped me though with some aspects. Thanks.

So in between the metal nd plastic or under the plastic to clean the lense?

Christopher Shaver should i take it out? I cant squeeze a cue tip in the whole i dont think its getting it, because its still saying check disc
@@quinnjohnson8096 try slowly pushing it in and twisting at the same time. it will go in easier and also clean the lens at the same time.
