Maybe people are just fatigued with remakes after remakes. It's just not financial viable to keep pushing remakes that don't capture a new audience and alienate the original fans.

@@Letstunein Some people like the original, and some don't. You have to take it for what it is. I would say the original Crow is a cut above the average revenge flick, because it does a good job of explaining what for many people is a new concept: The revenant. A revenant is a very specific type of undead which was much better known historically than it is today.
@@greensky3152 I'd actually say majority of people like the original but the 2024 one is straight up terrible.

Why was this remake even made? It's an absolute disgrace to the original and especially Brandon Lee

You need to see the original! One of the best movies from the 90s in my opinion. Watch the original and then make a comparison video.

Okay, at least the ones with pretty ladies with integrity, common sense and good taste. 👌It's actually a little shame (at least to me) you've already started watching the OG, because I wanted to suggest doing a reaction. I should've done that in my first comment.🤬 I've watched 2 and a half Die Hard movies from you and intent to finish 3 today. Are you planning to watch DH 4 at some point? That's the last one at least worth watching (I like it, but you must watch unrated version, because this movie actually has two versions).

@Letstunein Okay. Galaxy Quest is one my favourite movies from my childhood, so that one I'll definitely watch.😏 I actually never saw Predator 1 and 2, only Prey. Which wasn't too bad. I enjoyed that for the most part... I think that's how I actually found out about Critical Drinker. It was at that time when I really started to see the patterns what's going on with the movies and games, actually... The blatant wokification, so to speak. If the movies, games, etc were still at least good, with good writing, I wouldn't really have any issue (the movies and games were always diverse, with gays or whatever), but it's just pandering at the expense of everything else nowadays... I should really stop now or I'll start ranting.🤬😁
Nah the new movie is better than the OG.
good review you should watch the original then you’d understand why so many fans are angry The Crow is a very special IP (it has flaws but, it’s a true masterpiece! I wish Lionsgate was brave enough to actually adapted a different Crow story (Crow Flesh & Blood is a brilliant story narrative that plays more so now then back when it was published (Dealing with Pro Choice, The Boarder and domestic terrorist) The Crow is a female maybe people are afraid of doing that type of story cause it’s too pro feminist! But, then again there can only be one Eric Draven (Brandon Lee)

I forgot to mention how the crow itself was barely in it lol Maybe a future adaptation of another story can be done! Although this movie may have shot that in the foot. Thanks for watching:)
Look I have compassion for addicts however that element in this makes the love story MUTE! The entire concept of the comic is pure true love. Sorry new o e blew it! And theu had a good actor to work with. But if im being real this is a movie that never needed a reboot! At least the seqeuls had different stories. The origional is a gem.
@@jennykosky4430 yes! Exactly! The love story didn’t work. I felt like they were insecure and just trying to find themselves. Story doesn’t work without the love. I actually watched a bit of the old one the other night, Huge difference!!
It's failing because it's awful. Simple as that. It's poorly shot, horribly directed, badly acted, and, TERRIBLT written.

Toxic fans are why it failed.being negative and absolutely finding ways and searching for a reason to hate it, and just be spiteful is not honoring brandon in any manner. Especaillu since he was a very kind and positive man. Being hateful is not honoring him
Aw Yeah, I can totally see that. Fans of the original are very passionate. I haven't seen the original, so for me I think the storytelling and advertising are contributing to its fall at the box office too. Along with the fans being upset at the retelling. You are very right there!
The movie failed because it's not that good.
It was the best of the series it is getting a lot of un needed hate but I understand and respect both sides I’m the side that liked it I enjoyed it a lot because of what they did with it it was direct sequel to where the show/movie that was made for tv ended because basically Shelly left heaven when she got there because Eric wasn’t in heaven and she went back to earth to look for Eric and Eric and Shelly were reborn as drug addicts Shelly was caught up with this organization that has ties into the show and TV movie that got made and they are squatters and they had a relationship that never got fully developed so when they died and he was chosen to come back he couldn’t fully regenerate or heal all the way then they introduced this massive plot hole and he had to trade his life for Shelly’s but was given the power to travel between worlds and what is really cool and really makes the story bad ass is the skull cowboy was actually with both of there body’s on earth so there is all these separate planes of existence and this is a drug story we are going on this timeout so you have to start doing Alice in wonderland wizard of oz Willy wonka and the chocolate factory and it all starts working into the story and you have to have destruction and bridges and have a human version of the skull cowboy to tie it all back into marks journey as the crow and he had to make it accurate to the comic then he threw in girl with the dragon tattoo and Rupert had his own journey of doing drugs going to raves and being a squatter it came together perfectly I enjoyed it this was a fun time for me and being a fan of the comics movies and the one season and TV movie we got this worked in nicely in the series
