Great stuff as usual. Thanks for not making bad music videos like most you tubers! I hope people appreciate the work put into getting all the drive by/ drive up shots.
Love your channel and the gentle way you put the films together, its very refreshing and a joy to watch, particularly for me being in England - I don't get to experience the amazing landscapes that you guys can explore in the US and Canada/Alaska. My sincere condolences on the loss of your friend. (Nige - Battleship Overland, England)
I've watched many of your episodes and I have to say, this is by far your best video so far. The editing was professional. The shots were amazing!, and your commentary throughout was perfect.
As someone who just found your channel, I just wanted to say I can't believe you don't have more subscribers. Super interesting, well edited and consistently beautiful content. You're a natural presenter and I can't wait to binge my way through all your videos.
Toilet bowl. Look back at the gate. Falling into the Jeep. This was a fun one. And a wonderful dedication. Cool Jeep. God Bless and sorry for your loss.
Takeaway from this week: 1) I've lived and traveled "near" the places Chris traveled this week and haven't really experienced them like this - kicking myself now. 2) Loyd was only 4 years older than me...another reminder to me that "the most dangerous risk of all is the risk of spending your life not doing what you want on the bet you can buy yourself the freedom to do it later." (Randy Komisar) Thanks for sharing your adventures Chris, and inspiring us to begin our own.
Chris, I realize I’m way late with this but I’m sorry you lost a friend. I’m sure he’s still subscribed and watching your weekly adventures... Those canyons are unreal, going to have to visit there someday soon. Thank you for all you do.
That was touching to dedicate this episode to Lloyd Bray, he passed far too early but none of us know the length of our days. Such great people to be found in the adventure community.
I have been waiting for someone to explore the Gold Butte area with. Sorry we missed each other. But after seeing those ruts that you fell into, I'll take a rain check. With my stock JK, my JEEP would still be stranded in Gold Butte today. This is one of the best videos that you have done. The videos were so sharp and clear...larger than life. Like many of the others, sorry to hear about your friend...your tribute was well done. If you need the air compressor, I will supply one the next time that you pass through Las Vegas. Take care and be safe.
Sorry to hear about your friend Lloyd. When you were in the grocery store you didn't stop and spend any time at the tomatoes SHE might have been there Ha Ha. Enjoyed the video and I will have withdrawal when I do get caught up. I started from the March of 17. Thanks for taking us along
Loosing someone like that or anyway is a hard thing to endure. I don't have to know them to pray for their family and anyone effected by his passing. That the Lord settles within them and gives peace to all affected. Thanks for the video. From Oregon.""RIDE ON""
Made me nervous when your wheels dropped on the side of the trail in that one spot. If I were you I would add a couple of other items to my wish list: a winch and a land anchor. Really glad you're able to share all the great national monuments, parks and forests you are experiencing. Great example of just how many beautiful places there are to visit in North America.
Bonjour ! Thank you !Chris
I can't wait until next week when you go to Tuweep! I have had that on my list for a few years now. Great videos. I find myself watching them all the way through. I love Southern Utah and Northern Arizona.
Great Video, once again. ST George is a pretty cool place, Coffee shops, and camping. Big Jeep community. Plus, The white rim trail is very near. Have a great week.
I have been enjoying your videos. About a month ago, I flew into Las Vegas and did a clockwise circle tour of the Southwest mainly to end up in Albuquerque to see the balloon fiesta. At any rate, I took the Cedar City route to Bryce Canyon and went up to Cedar Breaks Nat'l Monument as well (mainly to avoid Zion traffic). There was several inches of snow on the ground from the previous night and I was able to take some incredible photos. Cedar Breaks also came to me as a complete surprise despite the fact that I have been on that road in the past. It's nice to find these gems hidden in plain sight! Safe travels!
Chris Love your travels, all the way from Australia Watched every episode, convinced me to upgrade to a rubicon and get out there more often You sound like you need to get home to catch up with family for the holidays Keep up the good work, big fan Scoob Australia
GREAT video! Thanks! I live in Vegas and am off exploring all the stunningly beautiful, dramatic, and varied scenery here in the Mojave desert. I'm from Utah and have lived in southern Utah as well. Your footage of southern Utah was spectacular. I love your rig, your routing and driving talent, your sense of adventure (similar to mine) and your well produced videos. Keep 'em coming!
Liking your channel more and more with each passing week. Keep up the good work! So many beautiful National Parks and monuments out there that don’t vet much attention. You do them justice. If you’re ever near Joshua Tree National Park I can steer you to some trails with some mining history and a good burger and/or pizza place! Thanks for the great content!
We rented a campervan from Lost Campers in SLC and drove it to all the national parks in Utah. It was my first time there and easily my favorite State. Next time I head out there, I'll be taking my Landcruiser!
Cracked me up, the first scene of this video -- !! 😃 Good Morning !! The road onward was full of experiences and realities of off-road the - road realities- good and the trying . And then a moving closing to a fellow human being . ( " we may never pass this way again " ) I'm just catching up on your videos and it mid February 2019
Great video. What an adventure. Im going to make it a point to do something very similar in the near future. And Im sorry to hear about your friend. May he RIP.
Enjoy watching your show. Thanks for making it. However I have traveled all the 50 states and for 14 years spent a lot of time in Utah, especially in the Moab area. Recommend you get more recovery equipment since you travel mostly alone. I see you do have a Spot as I do and it is a necessity. Suggest travel with others when you can. Great show and appreciate it. Thanks
Doing a wonderful job of portraying and narrating the trip... following you up too because I am doing a similar route except for that a I going East from 15 to Hurricane and then to Kanab continuing to Alstrom Point, anyway really enjoying watching your journey... thanks and sorry about your friend's passing :( May the Force be with you the rest of your trip...
Really digging the videos. I live in Vegas glad you enjoyed our backyard, one thing though we say Nevada like you would say apple. Just one of those peeve things. Happy holidays
Been using The Master Flow MF-1050 portable air compressor for the 37s. Works great and is a steal at just over $50. It came well recommended and I'm doing the same.
Can ARB or Viair get this man on board air. At least at a discount if not free! Great work Chris... Video doesn't do justice to those colors out there.
About time, I’ve been waiting.😉 I’m surprised the time change causes you any concern at all. When overlanding I don’t look at the time at all, sometimes for weeks.
You really need to get a winch as I’m a long way away to have to come rescue you! Also, get the Smittybilt portable air compressor. Used mine for years. So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. 😢
Smitty-Built has a very good portable air compressor. It has 5.6 CFM output and costs $164.99 at 4WP (4 Wheel Parts) Smittybilt 5.65 CFM Air Compressor - 2781 I have one and love it.
Saw you went to Hole InThe Rock, when I got there it was blowing 60 miles per hour and we were tenting and left our Motor Coach in Moab. That was worst windy night ever spent in tent, even after we found a low spot along the road.
Another week, another great watch. Good to hear what tyre pressure you run Chris. Another technical question I have is, what sort of gas mileage do you get with the Jeep? Also, after seeing the Helio shower in your videos for the last couple of years, I took the plunge and bought one. Just came back from a week of camping on a beach, and it worked amazingly well.
Chris, I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of your friend Lloyd. On another note, it was nice to meet you at Ella mountain on Tuesday. It looked like you found Pennsylvania Canyon for the trip east from there. Also, I regarding the replacement of the caliper bolt: I've had a couple drop out, and it usually was because someone removed the caliper and used the same bolts to replace it. Mopar recommends the replacement of those bolts with new Mopar bolts any time they are removed, as they come with a special coating that holds better than Loctite (beit blue or red!) The fronts should be torqued to 120ft/lbs and rears should be 55ft/lbs. Call, or email, and I can give you more specifics,
I put a bit o’ wd40 on that squeak. I’ve heard that Caliente place gets hot. Jeep and roof tent like my VW Campmobile. Open roof to tent. Miss that thing, we loved it.
Chris great shots Amazes me your walkbacks and setup of camera shots but that ut oh moment of the camera left on the other side of the barb wire gate! And your the guy who dinged my Jeep with the cart at the market parking lot! LOL Jeep owes you marketing money for those classic shots of your rig Good tip on airdown OH you sure you don't have a cameracrew following you LOL
Wondering if you ever drove through High Rock Canyon in north west Nevada? Had a lot of fun never finding it a few years back. I was just going on the verbal directions (with lots of vague hand gestures) from a few rancher good-old-boys who looked at me like I was nuts! I showed them a postcard I found in the breakfast joint where they were chowin' down in Surprise Valley California. Probably a good thing i didnt find it since I was just driving some kind of all wheel drive rental * Ha * I've since heard it's pretty awesome *!*
I see that you met some of Bundy's cattle. Driving tires too low on air pressure climbing over rocks will destroy your sidewalls. Low tire pressure is for soft san only. My Hummer climbs everything with full tire pressure. Thanks for sharing. Happy Trails ;)
Great videos! Yeah..you need some basic off road equip..simce you're alone. Compressor..high jack..punture kit....but consider maxtrax. They make knock offs on eBay..$60.. Probably telling you what you already know. It's a Rubicon....my dream vechicle. Keep living the dream.
Most folks I travel with have given up on the Warn Power Plant because the electrical is not reliable. All the other Warn Products are very reliable, so get a winch for winching and a pump for pumping. As others have stated here, the large Smittybilt is a good choice.

Your videos are always amazing Chris....and what a beautiful tribute to Lloyd and his family .
Great stuff as usual. Thanks for not making bad music videos like most you tubers! I hope people appreciate the work put into getting all the drive by/ drive up shots.
I completely agree! I love feeling like we are just tagging along on the adventure vs some overdone music video.
OK, so I will no longer put music in my videos. I have had complaints as well. This is an excellent video. The vies of Bryce Canyon were outstanding.
Amen boys! I leave as soon as I hear music mess on videos. Unless I want to listen to Neil Diamond.
Music is used like music in an elevator. ...to pass time
That was some of the most aggressive wheeling I’ve seen you do. We did Gold Butte last year. Amazing place.
Wonderful tribute episode.
Thanks for another great video. R.I.P. Lloyd. Peace to you, Chris.
Really appreciate the effort you put into setting up eye catching shots. Great cinematography.

I'm sorry to hear of Lloy'ds passing. Very nice of you to provide tribute as you did. Great video as always.

SmittyBuilt compressor beats both the ARB and Viair. Get the larger one. I swear by that thing after wearing out a handful of others.
Cool. Really do enjoy. Wait for every Friday

I found some of those BLM roads may not go anywhere interesting but if you are looking for solitude they deliver.
Drone time?
Great views!
22:45 - well done. Sweet tracks.
Oh my goodness I was at Cedar Breaks the same week as you!

Cows be like, "What the heck are you doing out here?" at 22:56. lol
LOL I fixed my jeep trail repair with a Huge Grin Love it Great work you are Truly Amazing and I hope you read your comments brother
What camera do you use? Your videos are just awesome. Condolences to you and your friends families on their loss of a loved one.
Not sure how well they work, but I believe Warn has a winch with a built in air compressor. Since you need both, might be worth checking out.
Most folks I travel with have given up on the Warn Power Plant because the electrical is not reliable. All the other Warn Products are very reliable, so get a winch for winching and a pump for pumping. As others have stated here, the large Smittybilt is a good choice.
Gil Meacham, I really appreciate the feedback. Thanks 👍
Gil Meacham - Another vote here for the Smittybilt X2O 10,000 lb winch. It rocks! (I also travel alone, so it’s a must, plus TREDs, hi-lift and bottle jack (not Daniel’s), etc.
I keep forgetting to look back in previous videos, or just flat ask you this. What tablet are you using for your Gaia app software? I'd like to eventually start using Gaia, but need to upgrade my tablet before I do.
He is using iPad Mini 4.
I use a Samsung A6. I recommend going with an IPad. Much better processor and graphics built in. It’s worth getting an external gps unit for it too from what I’ve been reading.
Another great video Chris. I'm looking at travelling like you but am considering using a full size truck and am curious about what your thoughts are and what % of trails that you've gone down would I not be able to go down? Thanks in advance.
