Nick hiding behind a computer bank for the entire first conversation is very Bethesda.
The part where you had to do the puzzles to unlock memories was so annoying
So true it was a pain 😢
The last puzzle can be exploited, go look up a guide!
I usually don't like puzzles but honestly I thought it was kinda cool
I hate when first person puzzles show up when they have no reason to. It's the same reason Assassin's Creed Revelations suck.
@@gk2370while it does ruin the flow of the game, I don’t hate them…just abruptly stops the pacing of the story (imo)
I think that literally Far Harbor DLC was created to use Nick as companion, is the best experience
I figured it was obvious since its a detective quest.
Yea specifically since me and Nick go there together.
best part is that even with his memory issues dima managed to remember who nick was and all of their short time together
...so the toaster says to the blender, "yo bro".
DiMA: You were my brother, Nick, and I loved you.
Nick: I don't even know who you are.
😂
I usually take my dog cause everyone is so judgmental of my actions
Maybe don’t act like a psychopath 😂😂
Its a simple solution
Don't be a psycho
Or get cait. She don't mind murder
Get ada, if you max that robot, it will does a lot of damage and it is not judgmental of your actions (assuming that you have the dlc automatron)
Playing Far Harbor with Nick feels right specially in the scenes where DiMA is involved
Kinda strange how right before you met DiMA, you are asked hey do you want to change your companion? That is very likely Nick, given that he is why you are even there right before his brother shows up?
@@Sunny-vq9uu Or maybe it could be that we go to Far harbor to solve a nick valentine detective case. If you remember the point of going to Acadia is to meet Kasumi. Maybe that's they ask to change our companions.
@@deafero Basically, my point was you very likely was with Nick the first time you played far harbor. A very important moment for Nick is just about to happen, and you get asked to switch to the new dlc companion. I feel it would have been better if you are asked to have him join you after your first encounter with DiMA like just go back to far harbor and he is like well looks like you are tough for surviving if you like you can take me along with you. It will be nice to have someone tough in the fog.
@@Sunny-vq9uu It could be even better if they just added Nick there as he also came looking for Kasumi and we end up getting him as a companion rather than them asking to change one
@@deafero Yeah, you are right.
But Nick himself brings up DiMA, his brother when he stops to talk to you throughout the normal game.
To fit in more memories, the one of DiMA was immediately wiped
Bethesda is so bad lol
DiMA: You were my brother Nick… I loved you!!!
Nick: I HATE YOU!!!
DIMA has he higher ground
Just a shame dima is such a morally effed up robot. He literally did what the institute does for his “greater good.”
Well, the institute did make him after all
Classic Bethesda. Companion never fails to break immersion by being in the wrong place lol
Maybe Nick is just really shy around other synths? lol
Honestly I kinda like that nick is hiding behind the monitors, it's almost like they are brothers that were separated at birth and he really can't handle this dialogue XD
This video almost convinced me to play that game again.
I didn't get to do this interaction because I took Curie to Far Harbor, I planned on going with Nick but Curie is a scientist after all. She could also carry the 1000 lbs of junk I planned to sell.
You kept her in her robot form?
@@Leboobs22 Of course not, only someone truly evil would keep her trapped inside the robot form. You always have to take the advantage and give her a silly outfit for her new synth body.
Such a great storyline, Nick was definitely the best companion and getting to see him go back was fantastic!
On every re-play I just can't bring myself not to destroy Arcadia...
How is this not what most people did? You go to far harbor in one of nicks detective missions. Why are yall running detective agency quests without the detective
I was with curie😂😅
Because nick kinda sucks as a companion
Because my Sentry Bot with 600 carry weight is too helpful
BECAUSE HE'S AN ABOMINATION!!!
@@RippaGsame here. Curie club for the win
I actually really love Nick. He’s a good dude
True
They get along about as much as Curie and Codsworth
I take Codsworth everywhere with me cause I love Codsworth so I never saw this interaction, I also had Dima turn himself in for murdering the real Captain Avery and he was given the death sentence then I looted his body. Dima already felt off to me the entire time and after learning that he murdered Captain Avery yeah that all I needed to confirm my off feeling, I'm glad he's dead in my Fallout 4.
Nick is one of the best written characters. He deserves his own show on Netflix.
Nick says "keep talking" 😂
I would assume they'd be related if they were made on the same assembly line or in a certain order
Not to be annoying But saw the video at 999 so I liked the video, and then it became 1k, anyway good video
it ain't much, but it's honest work
I can't think of a better companion in any game than Nick Valentine
Raul Alfonso Tajeda
I rolled with the Irish chick on chems all the way til the end
You say that but we literally have Dogmeat
@@anthonykostelnik3148she started annoying me so I left her
AWWWW!!!! 😭😭😭 My lil heart!!! This is so sweet! I love this game more and more from all the neat little side stuff I keep seeing...
I'm glad you like it
You really blew his mind when you pulled out that gun.
Dressed like a helldiver
that's the Marine Assault Armor it's a decent set easily modified at the Armor Workbench
Why would you go out of your way to make a video about this but then skip through so much of the dialogue?
What kind of armor are you wearing? Looks neat.
Its the assault marine armour
Part of the far harbor DLC. Once you start going through DiMas memories on the last one you’ll hear about it. Then after word you’ll have the option to pursue a small task of finding them around the shallow ocean of far harbor. Very easy since it basically points exactly where they are
So did DiMA modify his memory capacity or something? Because if Nick can’t remember things from 100 years ago then how can he?
Look at Dima, he's jacked up more than Nick. He definitely has more memory installed in him.
also adding on to what ojaya said, nick had an entire personality loaded into him, that means memories, behaviours, feelings, all already in him. so a lot of his memory was already being taken up
Downloaded RAM
I don’t even know what diMa is, and I’ve played soooo much fallout recently.
dlc
Far harbor DLC for Fallout 4
Same I never really did much far harbor though tbh want to drive into it
This might be the first example of good voice acting in FO4
Just like brothers, even through they are synth's!! ha
Let me tell you about my best friend 🎵
Are you singing The original song or the sml one
Red death mission is hard.
what armor are you wearing
I think it's the Marine Armor
who the hell is dima?....
His a far harbour npc if you've got the dlcs
Ligma balls…
What set is that? Do I need dlc to get it?
Its a far harbor dlc
Yeah it's the assault marine armour
Dima mission was the most unfun DLC part of a game I've ever played in my life 😓
I will never understand why people hated the puzzles so much. They weren't difficult at all.
Obi wan and anakin
The institute are mid.
Far Harbor was such a let down... we could've had a ghoul squid fight and instead we just get more synth drama.
We could’ve had a bioshock vault with ghoul dolphins or a boss fight with a giant whale monster, but instead we got more of the same institute bullsh*t.
@@HenryTV-ko9oi exactly the files were there and it would've made a great story but no we get more institute and synth shit nobody wanted.
Yall crazy far harbor was awesome
@@Wells13555 please tell me you're joking when it comes to that steaming pile of shit.
@@Husker_XIII Far Harbour is literally the only good content in Fo4 lol
Is this a mod?!
Nope, DLC.
I mean, I knew it was the far harbor dlc, but I didn't realize you could bring a companion over there with you. I was so used to how the old fallout games did it that I didn't even try or consider the possibility
@@Aotis420 you can bring any companion everywhere
I just wasn't aware or tried taking them into the DLC in 4 due to how 3 and new vegas were. Had to leave companions behind in the vanilla game map.
So I never tried it in 4 thinking it was going to be the sam
@@Aotis420 Nick detective agency is the whole reason you go to far harbour in the first place
Such a crappy writing xD
look i dont like bethesdas writing on a lot of things but this..dima's storyline with nick is one of the best things they have come up with dude
@@mrinsomniac2968 But of course - it is one of the best thing the have come up with.
This tells a lot about their writing.
@@S.... i mean it PRURAL, there is still many amazing aspects to fallout 4 the only thing that cant be denied is the main story which is Ok much better than fallout 3 though
Is that what your parents told you when you were born ?
You know if you're going to try talk down on the writing of the story you should, at the very least be grammatically correct In your criticism
That's why he is always working on his hand
