my ultra bee gets delivered this weekend. This is definitely interesting to say the least. I wonder what the peak power meaning is. I hope it is not one of those buttons you press to get the peak power for 10-20 seconds like we are seeing with other manufacturer's. if it is a constant power of 28kw in hyper mode thats crazy! - My ultra bee would be going up for sale if that is the case. Surron in my eyes wears the crown in the e bike scene, be cool to see this bike actually out perform it and be good as it is on paper right now. Exciting!!

Those turbo buttons are the absolute worst. Basically completely pointless unless you're like sending it on jumps or something.

    • @tintin6291

Peak power means you won't be hitting 28kws all the time. That's what peak means. Continuous means you can pin the throttle all day.

Agreed, these companies need to stop with the turbo button. Nobody wants to pay that much money to have a time limited turbo button 😂 Talaria seems to be doing it right though so let’s hope they keep doing us right 🙏 love my mx4

It says 10kw constant and 28kW peak. Whenever your peak is more than double of the constant, it will be something limited to short time, like a turbo button. Not to mention, these values are from 100% battery charge only, but this is a bummer for all electric bikes, unfortunately

The 21/18 wheels mean that they listened to the complaints about the Ultra Bee. Now I REALLY hope it has power regulation, instead of current regulation, like all the other bikes

So I've been planning on getting an Ultra Bee for some time. Just waiting for life to settle after moving...TMI. Now you've gone and thrown a wrench into that plan. This looks to be the Ultra Bee with all the upgrades. If the price is similar, it will be a no-brainer.

Dang sounds like a great bike, really liking the big increase in power and range over the UB. Only concern I have is the vertical rear shock setup. I'm loving my ultra bee so far but it looks like it'll be getting replaced when this comes out lol.

Im just now getting into ebikes & I was heavily considering a ultra bee for my 1st bike cuz it had the balance of what I wanted. I said I wish talaria had a bike thats similar to the ultra bee cuz their prices are much better, then boom I find this. Thx bro

As someone thats never even touched an e-bike. This thing looks friggin awesome it's got 250 power in a superlight package and 45 miles of range is good enough for a whole day of trail riding. With an extra battery you can actually have that 90 mile range. I've ridden dirt bkes and Im invested on getting a 2 stroke next but these ebike have a place on the future as cheap, solid and user friendly off-road machine. Because in the right hands a Surron is a capable lil machine and the Ultra bee has shown is capable of winning races. I would say this Talaria in terms of equipment it's competing with the likes of the Free Ride. But that power will definitely be the driving factor. For people who haven't felt a 250 dirt bike this will bring similar thrill. I can already see the suspension and brake set up was made with consideration of more skilled riders wanting to get the most out of this. It's the bridge between the Ultra bee and the Stark Varg. Hopefully the price is as promising,

45 miles at 22.5 mph is only two hours of riding, hardly all day....
Also this means you can only go ONE hour in, one hour out.
Save your money amd buy a new yz 250cc 2 stroke.
Similar weight and much better performance.

  • @Tumid1

I believe the 90mm rear suspension travel is just the shock absorber itself & the actual rear wheel travel is no doubt >200mm.

    • @martinfoster5163
      @martinfoster5163 8 місяців тому

I'm fairly sure that's correct. For some reason Chinese e-bike manufacturers measure the shock absorber travel but not the rear wheel travel which is a lever and usually about the same as the front wheel. My Surron Storm Bee has 290mm wheel travel at front and rear. But the rear shock travel is 115mm. That's 2.5x more. Depending on the geometry I'd also expect 220mm (or more) on the Dragon.

When they can actually reliably hit 100 mi and have legit suspension, that's when I will jump on bored and buy an electric e-bike for my primary motorcycle.

I love e-bikes! I have a talaría sting MX4. From stats the talaría dragon is between surron ultra bee and surron storm bee. Being the storm bee is MSRP 12k, but limited range, low top speed and the price I rather just ride a dual sport bike at half the price and non of the range anxiety. Upgrades are crazy expensive with low return. Maybe for the tracks guys this is perfect but for me I ride in the street it’s not ideal.

Lots of power but you can only use so much on trail so maybe they are thinking of giving us the MX option as well with this thing. At 220 lbs I hope they have better suspension than the Ultra Bee as that is the one thing holding back the Surron according to reviewers. Still the KTM Freeride doesn't have the best suspension and it is supposedly 245 lbs so this should feel lighter than that bike at least. This beast is totally unproven so I wouldn't sell whatever else you are riding just yet.

North of $10k they need to be comparable with gas bikes...and they're not. Suspension is doubtful, power isn't there yet aside from the Stark, and the big issue is range. At 220lbs that is right on par with a 300 2 stroke so that is what it should be compared to. These bikes are getting close and are moving out of the toy category but the lack of a clutch is still a deal breaker. Not an issue in tame terrain like as shown in this video but a big problem in the hard enduro world. If you disagree, I'd guess your aren't riding hard enough terrain. For a lot of single track, I"m sure this category is amazing and very easy/fun to ride. I have ridden the light bee and ultra bee and they both still felt very small for rough riding.

Disagree with all of this. Electric bikes don't need higher revs to have more power, then modulate with clutch. They have high torque at beginning of throttle. @@Tazdeviloo7 I ride talaria sting the ultra bee is 30lbs heavier which I could manage but this new bike is another 30lbs heavier than that. I ride trails sometimes you gotta lift your bike up and flip it around 220lbs is gonna suck. I could maybe manage the ultra bee tho

@@MotoAlias Still lighter than a 125/150 when you add gas, even ktm 125 xc is 223lbs ready to ride and those bikes are crazy light. I did love the light weight of the light bee(mine was 160lbs with upgrades for hard enduro) but sometimes that light weight lets you get kicked around more and get beat up in faster sections

@@MotoAlias My opinion is the same , but where you need to lift your Sting there the Ultra is jump over without problem. So you not need to lift your bike. I ride with Sting now, but i tried Ultra, those two bikes are like night and day.
