I love delphinium, I'm doing this as I'm watching. What a beautiful piece of art. I'm so busy, especially this ti.e of year. We have a garden, and as things are ready, we eat them, and I can them. I don't can a lot, but maybe six to a dozen jars. Sometimes, I do jelly and jam. Plus, we have chickens. We go away a lot, and late summer, we travel. Take care, my beautiful friend, and teacher. 💙💜💙🖌xxx
How wonderful I’ve always wanted to can. I did make fig jam last year with my grandchildren and it was so much fun I don’t travel too much. These days just doesn’t fit into my life plan right now, but I would love to have a garden and travel and teach workshops and spend every moment with my beautiful children.!
Hi Sue, Im so glad you enjoyed and it inspired you to give it a try! Its easier than it might look. that washy background takes care of a lot of the fussing and detail.. Happy painting!
Thank you I like to add jn little flying and otherwise , cute subtle critters Xo 🦋🐝🎨 Happybpainting friend Of you would like this drawing Vs the Etsy companion kit just email me 🩷
Thank you! Values can make such a huge difference and such a simple technique, it is the first technique I teach beginners to take their paintings a level up in s simple way. As well as the washy background, which can add some interest in the background without having to fuss over details. I am so happy these little tips are helpful! Happy painting!
I have started the drawing on my own. I just can’t wait to paint the Delphiniums. When we did the Iris you helped us do the drawing. Is there and way you could get us started on the drawings before we do the painting? I’m going to do the wreath as well. Debbie, you have the absolute best subjects to paint. You are such a great teacher, I know. I tell you that all the time but it’s true. Love you❤️❤️
Love it! Thanks for sharing it with us! I'm working on learning these so i can paint them for my sister with a outline of a gold cross in the background. I'm trying to go for a loose style without having to draw them first, but its not going as well as I'd like. I might just give drawing them a chance and see haow that goes. Thank you for all your hard work and kindness!!
How sweet Creeksidehomeschoolers, That will be beautiful. Will you be using metallics? I Love this technique it takes all the stress and makes it fun, the wash you start with fills in all the gaps so to speak :-) Email me and I will share the drawing for you, it might make it easier to follow the shapes :-) Debbiewalkerart@gmail.com
I’d never seen these before so of course I had to paint them 🌸🎨 and of course these complimentary colors are my favorite together xoxo happy painting from California
Thanks LaraCroft, I love both, so im sure subconsciously its a cross between the both in my artistic mind~ lol.. Let's see maybe I shall call this a "Delphilac"? :-)

So glad Ann I hope it is fun!
Very pretty, love the color combination.
Complimentary colors (opposites on color wheel) are always so beautiful aside each other. Just don’t mix them = mud
This is beautiful. Love it!❤
Thank you! Fairly easy .. I hope
You give them a try! Happy painting friend
Love the different values of flowers and also how you put the purple and green in the background before the detail. Lovely painting!!❤

Thank you! Here you are www.etsy.com/shop/Mistceramics
This is most definitely a lilac not a delphinium. I’m a floral designer for well over 30 years. Lovely work though.
