I'm starting to do freezer meals again because I suffer from depression. My daughter is okay eating ramen on my down days but I want her to eat healthier foods. On my good days I prep for "just in case".
My daughter has been suffering from depression. We put her in therapy. Big hugs to you.
I try to do the same... can never keep up tho. Best of luck!!!
Hope you have a lot of good days. I know the struggle 😭
I finally broke out of a long-standing depression spell and have spent the last few days cooking up a storm for the same reason. (I want to eat healthier)
TeaThreePO Train her to open (& drain) a small can of peas and carrots to put in with the Ramen. At least it’ll give her some vitamin A.
That was the most amazing "drizzle" of garlic powder ☺️
Tha'ts how I drizzle my garlic also. About the same amount too!
Easy fajitas:
Slice 1# beef thin, 1jar pace picante salsa, 1 4oz can diced green Chiles, 1 packet of taco seasoning cook on high for 3 hours.
I have multiple chronic illnesses. I put together freezer meals when I'm feeling good and things aren't flaring so that when I'm down and non functional, there's an easy hot meal for me and my family. It's a good strategy and I'm eager to try these variantions on nummy recipes!
I'm in a similar situation with chronic illness. I batch cook when I'm having good days too so during flares or on busy work days when I'm too fatigued to have a shower let alone cook a meal I can have something tasty and healthy to hand. I'd be lost without my freezer!
First time listening to your channel. Thank you! I am totally blind and love that your video gave so many audio clues of what you were doing visually!! Thank you! I love your ideas for freezer dinners too! I will try them. :)
Miriam Huff me too. She does and awesome job at describing things. 😊
"Add a little bit of this." *pours a shit ton of garlic powder* LOL
I needed this so much. I’m a single mom to 4 kids 3 have special needs. So a big thank you for these simple freezer meals. Exactly what I have been looking for!
Just discovered your channel. You are a breath of fresh air. From Wales UK
Oh thank you!
I'm getting a bunch of freezer meals ready for when my husband and I's first little one is born in just 2 months! 💞
i wish i did this.
You won't regret it! I did a bunch of meals before my daughter was born and it was a life saver. I'm due in 2 months with baby #2 and I have made TRIPLE the amount of freezer meals I made before because I loved having so many things to just stick into the oven or microwave on days when nothing went right and I was exhausted! It's so so worth it. If you haven't already, make some cookies to keep in the freezer 🍪🍪
@@nestfeathers88 yes! I want to try and do some oatmeal ones because I hear oatmeal helps with milk supply! What are some of your favorite freezer meals if you don't mind me asking
@@hayleeperez3486 I've made a couple lasagnas, 4 shepherd's pies, chicken and dumplings, beef tips, a few different types of stew, chili, a couple soups, breakfast burritos, and bean and cheese burritos. Those all freeze well and are good comfort food type of meals. I made a bunch of lactation cookies too, and I definitely noticed a huge difference in milk production when I ate them regularly. I think I used the recipe on the Simply Real Moms blog for chocolate chip lactation cookies, which call for oats, flax, and brewer's yeast to help milk supply. I changed the recipe a little bit to suit my tastes and added extra flax and some other things, but it's a good recipe to start with if you're not sure what kind you're wanting to make!
@@nestfeathers88 seriously, thank you so much! That was a ton of awesome things I'll be adding to my list! I'll definitely look up that cookie recipe! 💞
The reason I do freezer meals is because my mom loves Sweet and Sour Chicken (I don't) and it is a pain to make so I make several and put it in the freezer. I also bulk make meatballs so I only get dirty and have to clean up once.
Thank you for listing recipes and ingredients in your description. I'll start following you just because of the thoughtfulness and ease it provides.
If you oil or use non stick spray on the cup before measuring honey or other thick, sticky stuff it comes out easily.
I'm going to try a few of those. Thanks for showing them.
Wow! Thanks for that tip! This never occurred to me... water after oils to help wash it out did but I never would have thought to pre spray for sticky stuff!
I was going to add this tip as well
" WHAT'S-THIS-HERE-SAUCE" AKA Worcestershire sauce 😉
LOL!
😂❤
We can’t say it in the UK either 😂 we just say Worcester sauce & forget about the shire 😂
@@rebeccadanter8328 no. No need to mention the shire ever 😂 from the UK too
@@rebeccadanter8328 Im in Scotland and my mum always said it like 'Wooster' ?!?!
I usually do half prep on Sunday afternoons. I work full time, and my husband is a (picky) diabetic, so it's important for us to make inexpensive meals..but also healthy. I pack his lunch every evening. Half prep being I chop all the vegetables and precook meats.
Buying a small deepfreezer for my tiny house and im gonna make freezer meals and snacks for my 2 year old and almost 1 year old and my hubby
I made a ton of freezer meal this summer right before I had my son so I wouldn’t have to worry about cooking while recovering from my 4th c-section. They would have worked out great if almost all of them didn’t need to be cooked in the oven and if the weather hadn’t spiked up into the high 90’s the day I had my son. 🤦♀️ For the most part I just make double when making things like spaghetti sauce, refried beans, chicken broccoli rice, chili or anything else that freezes well. Hope you and Dave have a great vacation!
Jessica Vogan we invested in an air fryer that is also a toaster oven and can act as a mini oven and it’s perfect for summer cooking. If your cooking for a family it might take longer just because you can’t fit a big pan in it and you’d need to do multiple batches cooking but it’s worth it to not have to heat up the house
Love this one ! Definitely gonna make
Love this and will try the shredded beef one . Ty for sharing this
I'm from Yorkshire, England and we say Wus-ter-sher. It has a lot of silent letters that's why Americans leave a lot of letters out of the English language 😁
All of these look DELICIOUS and stupid easy. Have an awesome time in the DR!
That's so nice of you to make things easier for her ! Enjoy your trip
Little trick I learned for crockpots if your gonna do a cornbread with a soup in the crockpot especially if it’s got a little too much liquid is to mix up the cornbread batter and pour it right onto the top of your finished soup about 45 mins before you serve it and the cornbread soaks up some of the soup liquid
I have three words for you when it comes to freezer meals, Six Sisters Stuff. I have been using several of their recipes for freezer meals for the last several months. I love to have them in my freezer and ready to be made so that we can have healthy meals fast anytime. I love that my kids or husband can quickly make them on nights that I’m not home, or when I’m home and don’t have a lot of time or energy to make something. Making freezer meals also comes in handy if you find a bulk deal that is too good to pass up. A few weeks ago I found boneless skinless chicken at my store in a 40lb box for .98 cents a pound. I felt confident I could get the box and not just freeze it, but, put it into meals that could be prepared quickly and easily. I love that I was able put them together when I found that amazing deal! I also know I am more likely to use it since I can just pop it into a meal plan, then set it and almost forget it, since it goes in a crockpot or instant pot. If I’d put it in the freezer as just chicken I know I have less chance of working up my enthusiasm to actually get it out and making it up. If that makes sense. I better go make some dinner now...lol! 😆 As always thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas. I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip with your sweetheart.
"I'm fiiiiinnne" "I'm making fajitas!" 😆 I love that episode (well every episode really)
I’m so stinkin happy found your channel. You don’t know how long I’ve been looking for something like this.
Love these ideas. Such a different and easy way to put together and execute. Perfect for off shift parents to cook quickly without prep time.
You have the most awesome personality, recipes, and ideas. Love your channel. Thanks for all your hard work and sharing.. Have a wonderful day !
This is so awesome! I definitely need to get into freezer meals. I know my family would love the tortellini Alfredo one and I would use them during the week on busy days.
This is AWESOME of you to do, while your mom has your kids...TFS,and you guys be safe, and have lots of fun!
Love the freezer meals!
Love the video. For anyone wanting to be more frugal and more eco friendly the dollar store has reusable kitchen gloves instead of the disposable ones.
They all look great. I use freezer meals for days when things come up and I get busy. Always great to have in the freezer for when your sick and someone else needs to take over dinner that night.
I'm super excited about all of these meals! My son and daughter in law are expecting their first baby any minute, and this will be a great addition to the meals we already took over to put in their freezer. Thank you so much for sharing!
Great ideas. I dont usually prep freezer meals.
I do make my meaty pasta sauce once a month and freeze to have once a week. I also make big batches of stuff and freeze for a later time.
I like to use freezer meals when you just need a break from cooking. We live about an hour away from anyplace we would go out to eat at.
I want to start browning big batches of ground beef and freezing in 1-2lb packages to be ready for a true dump and go crockpot meal.
You are so fun to watch, lots of humor which keeps it so interesting! I may try some of these for those evenings when I either don't feel like cooking or am tired because I've worked outside all day.
Love your video clips!
Oh my goodness. The bag trick. I'm always struggling to fill bags. I never thought of that.
Everything looks great 👍 thank you for the Amazing ideas. I'll definitely all of them.
I LOVE how you actually show how you put meals together and which ingredients you use! I cook dang near every meal - breakfast, lunch and dinner for my three boys and I have to plan or I will end up in the drive through. Keep it comin!
Great freezer meals! I will for sure use these. You are my kind of cook. I love all your Friends references. Would love to see some of your trip to the DR. Have a safe and fun trip! God Bless
I can't wait to make those sesame honey chicken lettuce cups! I love freezer meals because I have Lupus and I never know when a bad day will hit, if I have a healthy yummy freezer dinner ready to go it really is a huge lifesaver on those rough days. Great video thank you for all the yummy freezer menu ideas.
I use freezer meals for those times when I just don't know what to cook, and when I'm too tired after work. Love your videos.
Thanks for sharing this! It’s still dumping snow here and I’ll be honest, I’ve been opting for the easy dinner lately. Can’t wait to try these 😁
Thanks for great ideas!
I love the look of beef and broccoli teriyaki x
Dude! I just found your channel and I **love** watching you! You cook like me and your added clips are BOMB! Love this video!
Some of freezer meals I can use camping thanks for videos
I use freezer meals for about half our meals. It helps a lot with a toddler, working, and college especially whenever my SO is out of town for work. The week prior to him leaving for a long while I double batch a lot of meals I cook, and also do a big session of freezer meal prep. I also do freezer meal prep for my in laws when I can to help them out.
I love these recipes and the video!! Do more ,please!
Ooooh those recipes look AMAZING
Thanks so much for these recipes...i like freezer/crockpot meals bcuz i am disabled. My knees are jacked up& im waiting on surgery..so having simple easy recipes that taste amazing too has been a huge relief...i love watching ur videos& congrats on the 100k subscribers😊🌹
I would love to start doing freezer meals. I hate cooking after I get home from work and so I this will be a great way for me to go! Thank you for this video!!!
I love love love this. I am a working mom with a two children under 10 I so need to do this. 💜💜💜💜💜 Again love the clips.
I love keeping 5-15 freezer meals in the... well... the freezer! But I don't normally have days when I make freezer meals. We are a family of 3, so it's pretty easy to just make a double batch of something and put a meal (or 2) in the freezer. Easy things I freeze are hamburger patties, poor man's steak with mushroom gravy, enchiladas, pulled pork, shepherd's pie... I also like to marinade a bunch of steaks, lightly grill them, bag them in meal portions, then when I want to use them I bake them for 30 min. They are so delicious and easy! I will occasionally assemble a bunch of chimichangas or pizzas as well.
I like to use freezer meals when I am sick or recovering from being sick.... which has happened way too often the last while in my opinion. Having them on hand makes it easier for me to feel free to go help a friend last minute, and still be able to serve a home cooked meal to my family. They are also handy for sharing with friends who just need a boost.
I am looking forward to trying the pesto tortellini and the cube steak. I love using freezer meals when I know I'm going to have a busy day.
Loved it! Not only do I want to go eat with your Mom and kids, I got great ideas! (Those homemade flavor packets...) Your editing is so so good! I laughed several times!!! Thank you!!! :D
I wish I had a big enough freezer for freezer meals 😭😭😭😭😭😭 mine is tiny. There's 4 of us (2, 2 and under) and our freezer is always packed. Same with the fridge because that's also small. Pretty frustrating!
Holly Long I understand!! A couple of years ago we bought a deep freezer because we wanted to be able to stock up on meats to save money and create freezer meals. We used our tax money to do it. Maybe you’ll be able to use some of your tax money for that this year.
If you’ve got room for any kind of deep freezer or chest freezer it’s worth it and a must have like I’d rather have freezer space than my microwave 😂
Great recipes!
I am an at home mom of 4. Our youngest is disabled and I love freezer meals on her appointment days. Having dinner ready after that road trip to and from the doctor can’t be beat!!
My version of freezer meals- I cook the dinner and freeze the leftovers in single serving amounts (quart size freezer bag). Then I can reheat the amount I need for lunch or dinner later.
Wuss-ter-sheer- sauce..from a brit! :)
Thank you! I have always wondered about that.
I lived in Worcester, in Worcestershire - that’s how you say it!
I’m going to try your beef and broccoli teriyaki over rice. Sounds delish!
The beef and broccoli teriyaki looks great I am going to try it soon thanks
Thank you for the recipes & making me laugh. 🙂👍 Definitely going to try these!
Sounds like some tasty meals to try
Sounds delicious!
I buy the garlic minced in the jar. It is sold in produce section.
On the move all the time so these will be handy. I'm doing them all!! I wish I'd discovered you sooner.
I really like your videos you're down to earth and we can relate to you. My dad lives in The Dominican they own a restaurant.
Omg Ross, Rachel & Phoebe jumping & screaming was great haha! 😂😂 already my favorite channel but man these movie & show clips kill me💀
Thanks for sharing I use freezer meals during kids baseball and soccer season lol thanks again many blessings
You are so fun to watch! Hilarious! I love the movie clips throughout! Great idea to fill the bag in the pitcher! GENIUS!
Love your style! Fun to have your video referencing, our family speaks in movie clips too so I totally get you!
We are kindred spirits!
I like to use them whenever I have a busy day or I am just tired is cooking, like instead of going out to eat I can still fix a dinner at home but I didn’t have to cook. I would totally use paper plates too so very little clean up.
My kids love bbq chicken sliders. A poundish of chicken breasts and bbq sauce (I make my own but you don’t have to) in the slow cooker. Cook all day, shred, and serve on Hawaiian rolls (the small ones). So good.
I love these ideas! I will be trying these!!! Thank you!!! I love crockpot meals! I have MS and I find it so helpful that on my good days I stock up for my not so good days. I don’t want to live on TV dinners. 😉 I do a lot of making big batches of things and making home made TV Dinners. 😍
Just stumbled onto your channel and loved it!!!
Glad to have you!
I love those!
Hi!! I am a new subscriber and love your videos! The added movie clips are hilarious! Watching videos like this, really makes me want to try some new food for dinner!
Great recipes
Toasting sesame seeds add so much delicious flavor & it only takes about 5 minutes to do.
Great video
I just put together 3 freezer meals this weekend. I feel /so/ accomplished. I made your Mexican lasagna as one.
I like them for when we're busy, or I can't be assed to cook. Then when my husband asks what I think about for dinner, I can just point him to the freezer and continue to be a potato.
I'm tackling the pesto meatballs tonight, probably going to have some of them tonight with dinner, freeze the rest. Super excited for that too. I made your no knead bread dough last night, hopefully I bake it properly today, then we can have spaghetti and crunchy bread.
Clearly you've inspired me to go back to food prep, so thanks for that.
Also now is a good time to stock up on freezer meals if you live in an area with soon to be snowy weather! Hi from PA!!! First flurries today!
We had 5 inches a couple weeks ago!
How fun.... I just stumbled across your channel tonight and I was hooked, when I saw you put a zip-lock bag inside the pitcher to hold it up! Yep...... exactly what I use! Great ideas and will be trying these as well! Thank you. Subscribed now from.... Northern Minnesota
Glad to have you hanging out with me!
You look happy because you are excited for your holidays 😁
This should make meal times easier for your mom. Btw I do a similar Honey sesame chicken in the Slow cooker, got the recipe from She’s in Her Apron.
Really any kind of soup or stew is perfect freeze ahead and dump in a crockpot territory especially if it’s a soup or stew you doubled
I love that make food that families actually eat. This is my definition of "real food"
You're Awesome!
Binge watching your videos
Freezer meals totally saved me as I recover from knee surgery. It was a lot of work but soooo worth it.
I HAVE to try the tortellini bake and the fajitas ...they sound delicious!I use freezer meals more than I used too with only 3 of us left at home (it used to be 7)🤣 so now I still make the regular full size recipes but freeze half in small foil pans or ziplocks for easy meals later. I also can grab some to take to my 80+ yrs folks when I visit them to make some easy meals for them.
New subbie here from Amy Maryon channel 😊. Love your video of food prep 💕 you’re awesome !
Glad to have you!
I loved the tiny laugh you gave after adding the extra pinch of red pepper. 😁
I use freezer meals because some days I'm in too much pain to think about cooking something I can put in the oven or crockpot is wonderful. Recently doing slot if sheet pan dinners.
I have figured out that my family loves homemade breakfast bowls and because of this virus I’m doing college from home so I like to do freezer meals to freeze large meals so that they don’t waste such as my chili, veggie soup, 15 bean soup etc. and individual servings of homemade breakfast bowls. All I do is cut up some potatoes real small and roast them with a little tiny drizzle of oil and some light seasoning, dice up some cooked bacon or fry some ground sausage up into real small pieces, scramble some eggs with some of the same seasoning from the eggs and throw some cheese in with the eggs when I mix them before they cook then throw everything into my containers or ziplock bags in individual servings with some more cheese on top. This can also be a filling for a breakfast burrito. When time to serve all I do is heat it up in the microwave. Sometimes it is also used for work breakfasts because my father goes into work so early that he eats breakfast and lunch there. The supper freezer meals are used for busy days so that all we gotta do is dump into a crockpot and forget about it
Omg I found your channel and heard a little bit about Louisiana in a few videos ... then in this video you are wearing my colleges shirt!!! Such a small world!!! 🥰 Love these videos!!!!
Hey, it's easier to shake the bag with meat and corn starch (or whatever breading you may be using) if you leave air in the bag! Gives it space to move around (: def gonna make some of these recipes. (:
I’m going to make all of these!
