Fantastic video. Production quality is top shelf. Music is spot on. Very impressive. Doesn't hurt that the scenery is beautiful. The bike is really nice, but it takes second place to the actual mountain biking in this video.
@@adventure_biker I meant taking bike into mountains like munroes in Scotland 🏴. Hike bike or ride when possible to the top and then “crème de la crème” descending 🚵🏻🏔️. Single track are my absolute favourites
Brilliant, my kind of camping, love the scenery and area! And that bike park in the end is sic- way to rip it Neal! Would love to see Blake and others join in Neal's 5 star camping :)
Getting to ride your favorite trail bike for a more authentic mtb experience is definitely an appealing aspect of credit-carding it… it would handle so much better than the heavy, scuffed up, loaded hardtail most of us might typically bikepack on! Would make packing and logistics simpler too. Might have to try it one day… but I just really love sleeping outdoors! Regardless, this looks like a big fun weekend on the bike
Video production is absolute top class! After 12 years of living in London and following GMBN for a number of years too, I'm still struggling to follow Neil's accent... either I was never that good at it or I definitely need a refresher course - probably both 😂 What's easy to follow is how incredibly good a rider you are mate...a total inspiration! That bike...🤤
Ive recently a bought the Trek Fuel EXE which as you know has the same motor, its my first e-bike and although I’m a fairly strong rider, with a busy lifestyle kids, family etc when i do get my windows to ride the trails I want to farm as much in as possible the Trek allows me to do that but also feels like a normal bike, the bike is also incredible, great Video and great looking bike from Mondraker.
Those looked like some of the most well groomed berms I have seen Neil hit. He threw that bike around pretty easily and it looked like it handled everything really well.
Rode clipless for over ten years because I was an xc racer. I ride more gravity style trails now and I tried flats for the first time and I reallly like them. Way more comfortable and I really won't climb any slower 😊
That bike looks brilliant. A range extender and a water bottle in the frame of a lightweight ebike with trail geometry. Ticks all the boxes for me! On a side note: I kept noticing gimbal shots and handheld shots throughout the video and it got me wondering how much faff that is for the videographer. It's a bit fiddly going to and from a gimbal at the best of times, but couple that with packing and unpacking a bag while doing a big day's ride must be exhausting. I'd love to see a video about your filmers and editors. Like what cameras and other gear they use and their setups etc. Very interesting! Keep up the good work guys!
Riding from New York City up to Buffalo and Niagara Falls next week. Even if your lodgings are humble, a real bed and a hot shower are invaluable. It’s not five stars, it’s just good health. ☺️
Ordered the neat RR the second it was released ticks all the boxes of what I wanted with my next bike lighter than my old ebike by like 7kg extra battery choice place for water bottle on uplift days and still giving me assistance on normal llandelga route (local haunt)
You asked is it the future? It’s already happening. The people I’ve met probably wouldn’t mind a lighter bike. I’ve met a good amount of e-bikepackers in the last few years carrying full extra batteries
In Australia, I feel like I'm the last of my kind... a rider on a conventional MTB. At every bike park I go to the E-bikes are taking over. When I rode the Cascades Trail from Lake Mountain to Marysville last summer, I was the ONLY rider there that day on a conventional bike. The Mooraker is a sweet looking bike, but an educated guess is that it would be WAY out of the price range of most riders. I'm interested to know Neil, when bike-packing what saddle do you use?
Great video. I'm sorely tempted by a bike like this, but I won't be buying until there's a safer battery chemistry. I don't have mains power in my garage and charging a li-ion battery of that size indoors is too much of a fire risk for me.
I've never heard of a battery fire from top brands bosch, yamaha, shimano etc.Its all the cheap chinese crap that are putting a scare into us.I remember when they were painting kids toys with lead paint, the chinese mfg's don't care about us they just want your money!!
Leave it to mondraker to figure out to make an ebike sexy... As I stare at my new enve m60 up front on the lake during breakfast!!! Keep it acoustic. But that bikes fire. Maybe I'll get one to try to keep up with my girls on the horses during trail rides???
After about 3 years the last Keurig stopped working ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf initially was able to unblock, however eventually we couldn't fix. That one was a replacement unit sent by the manufacturer after we had problems with our very first Keurig. This works fine (lol, at least for now) however I didn't realize the water reservoir was so much smaller than our prior unit. With 2 people having one or two cups of coffee each morning, it seems like I'm refilling it daily. Otherwise just happy to have the convenience of pod coffee vs. making a morning pot.
awesome vid but i would not call this bikepacking... you need to pack things on the bike and live off the bike to call it bikepacking. this is really cool tho love the big rides from gmbn
I know right ? 😂 there are a bunch of 600 m hills around me and some a bit further away are probably 800 but I definitely do not consider them to be mountains
GMBN have got form on this unfortunately. They do so much riding in Wales too. Come on GMBN please do a bit of place-name-pronunciation research when you film in Wales!

Loving the music on this video!
I’m not huge fan of bike parks. For me being out in the open, long all day rides in big mountains 🏔️ this is the essence of MTB
I know what you mean, but to me one of the best things about bikes is the variety they can offer.
True, both are absolutely amazing. The versatality of modern mtb’s is what makes them awesome.
We call that gravel biking 😅
@@adventure_biker depends whether you take single tracks or fire roads. But yes, if you can take the same road on a gravel bike, it ain’t mtb worthy.

That bike...🤤
Thanks for a great bike packing video Neil....even though it's 5 star without tents....you did a great job!!!!!!!!!

Big budget on this feature! Nicely done GMBN
Now this is a type bike packing I could enjoy. I dislike camping and my idea of ruffing it is a camper van or motor home. Great video Neil thanks.
Stellar video - well done to all at GMBN for the editing, cinematography, music choice - and to Neil for some epic shredding at Dirt Farm!
Great video and good to see the black mountains featured. I did pretty much that exact route in the opposite direction a couple of Saturdays ago.
Excellent video everyone, super job, Neil!!
I love videos that explore like this. Excellent production 👍👍
Great production quality and soundtrack, amazing views. Appreciate the Ukrainian folk tune at 9:30 😊
I live pretty close to black mountains by the blorenge, does gmbn track their rides at all so others could do the ride?
Those looked like some of the most well groomed berms I have seen Neil hit. He threw that bike around pretty easily and it looked like it handled everything really well.
Amazing vid, again... How does Neil make everything look so easy? Beautiful bike too. I'd be happy to have one
Awesome work Neil! 💪

Yes, i'd totally watch that video aswell!
Can get away with drone shots everything.
Looks like a pretty Neat bike. I have a Mondraker Crafty R and I love it but maybe one day when it's getting old I might consider a "Neat".
I think all those Mondraker bikes look pretty awesome!
I ride a Mondraker Phase Pro, and damn I love it.
Wow didn't see that coming from Mondraker i have tye full fat Xr and as a lighter option this would be awesome
Riding from New York City up to Buffalo and Niagara Falls next week. Even if your lodgings are humble, a real bed and a hot shower are invaluable. It’s not five stars, it’s just good health. ☺️
Great video ❤. Make more like this and I’ll be hooked. 🎉
Ordered the neat RR the second it was released ticks all the boxes of what I wanted with my next bike lighter than my old ebike by like 7kg extra battery choice place for water bottle on uplift days and still giving me assistance on normal llandelga route (local haunt)
Plus its absolutely gorgeous , congratulations
Love that bike love the show thanks
This is bikepacking I can get behind! :-)
Awesome e-bike
You asked is it the future? It’s already happening. The people I’ve met probably wouldn’t mind a lighter bike. I’ve met a good amount of e-bikepackers in the last few years carrying full extra batteries
Is there a komoot route for the first day of riding?
Yeah, I'd love to see that. I think I spotted The Bear in Crickhowell.
I think the reservoir near the start is Grwyne Fawr Reservoir
beautiful trails

Smashing looking trails and video, but no in depth review of the bike tbf. Its such a good looking bike you really should do a review video of it.
This is the content I'm here for! ;-)
Is the route from day one anywhere? I’ve just moved close to the Blorenge, wouldn’t mind seeing where those downhills are 👍
Brilliant Video 👏 I would love to see some route maps for the ride. It looked stunning.
Is the trek rail 5 any good 500wt seen it on offer and ave got a cycle scheme voutcher to use haha
07:07 Fanny Big.
Really Wales?!
Fan Y Big :-) But its pronounced Van euh Beeg.
I ride a Orbea rise, I prefer it over a full power one, lighter is more fun what you need at 64

How does it pedal while off? I tried heckler sl with fazua and it literally opens a parachute and drops an anchor behind you. How is tq doing ?
Leave it to mondraker to figure out to make an ebike sexy... As I stare at my new enve m60 up front on the lake during breakfast!!! Keep it acoustic. But that bikes fire. Maybe I'll get one to try to keep up with my girls on the horses during trail rides???
you guys got a new sound designer? awesome job, really really great!
I'd love a lightweight ebike as climbing and I do not get on.

nice commercial video. does the term „bikepacking“ increase sales?
So, you can ride farther an an E Bike?
Wow this really stretches the definition of bikepacking! Great video though.
How tall are you?
~85Nm motor, 1000w super light battery, 180mm/170mm travel, gearbox... ~35lbs
Not a fan of that opening middle eastern music, BUT everything else is great! Love these kinds of videos. Great job GMBN and Neil
Nice photography showing the Bannau Brycheiniog scenery 👌🏻. Glad you got a dry couple of days for it!
i like the turkish music :D
imposter ebike, not SL or lightweight,
That mondraker is a good looking bike though!
Why this video is not on EMBN 🤷♂️
Ground breaking?
They still haven't solved the trunnion mount shock issue.
is this EMBN?
too many labels now, how is it even bike packing when you're just riding and staying in hotels etc?
awesome vid but i would not call this bikepacking... you need to pack things on the bike and live off the bike to call it bikepacking. this is really cool tho love the big rides from gmbn
... and its only 12k! Get it while its cheap!
That's a 12k bike right there. Is it worth it? You be the judge.
"undercover ebike"? Not even close. 😂
That’s? That’s….glamping????😂
Pretty big at 700m 🤣... those are called bumps, not mountains... cheers from Switzerland
I know right ? 😂 there are a bunch of 600 m hills around me and some a bit further away are probably 800 but I definitely do not consider them to be mountains
That's not bikepacking
This video didn't really feel like bike packing at all..
I'm not sure why he keeps banging on about Welsh names with horrific pronunciation.
GMBN have got form on this unfortunately. They do so much riding in Wales too. Come on GMBN please do a bit of place-name-pronunciation research when you film in Wales!
Another video for all the fairweather dentists out there.
LOL when the channel just keeps getting less relatable
