    Yeah you're right, sound now all present and correct. Really enjoy your videos. Going to get a NC in due course.

    Hi Paul, Wish I had your confidence, Fair play to you mate. I have to check and double check everything I do now I'm getting a bit older. The mark I put on the existing chain was just the tight spot, also used it to ref when cleaning and oiling. Another good video.

    I have the 2021 model DCT, just ordered the 15 teeth front-sprocket. 17 is standard. When my wife ride with me this bike is not so strong. Hope 2 teeth down will fix it.

    Last week MotoJitsu posted a video about not to lube or clean the chain with the engine running. I was surprised and commented rhetorically asking who in the right mind would do that? And here you are... There are some other things which are rising questions: The fitting of the new sprocket shouldn't need any hammer use. It should just slide on the splines. The need of that hammer means it wasn't fit correctly, and you may have damaged the shaft. The second thing is the use of impact driver on transmission shaft, instead of proper blocking tool and a torque wrench. The DCT internals are ”thanking you” for that...

      I think there are many none experts that tell you about the chain, I wouldn't lube one if I'd just been out for a ride the chain would be warm, but just starting I've always done it that way, the 2nd your right don't use metal on metal, but all the front sprockets on every bike are tight you should push them on with wood block,, the last I do torque every bolt up, just don't film it, the impact gun I have is a low one, if you find the way that works for you just stick to it if it works, do appreciate the comments we all learn from them👍👍👍🔨🔨🤣

    I'm new to all this bike stuff and I didn't know about chain brands, seems like this actually is quality since I just read it's made in Japan 😂 I am liking the the goldish color of this chain 👍🏼

    • @birchwoodbiker
      @birchwoodbiker  2 місяці тому

      Yes one of the best, don't so much worry about the gold links, without they will be bit cheaper but same quality, there was £45 worth of extras in that kit, the link compressor is really easy to use and you get a really good chain brush Value for money, just make sre you check the right chain for your bike👍👍👍

      @@birchwoodbiker will I've got the same bike as yours except mine is bright red (2021 only available color here) so I'll be getting the exact same kit as yours, only I won't get the chain lube because they won't/can't ship it across the pond. Thanks for making these videos, I really appreciate it! I just bought a set of universal driving lights so I'm excited about installing those. I've got the Givi upper and lower engine guards, will be mounting them to the upper guards. Do you have any driving/auxillary lights yet? I went with the Morimoto 1banger hxb Combo, they're not motorcycle specific but I think they will be a perfect fit. Thanks again 👍🏼

      great bikes I bought cheap spot lights from eBay don't waste hundreds there really isn't that much difference, ride safe and send me some pics i,m hoping I get enough to convert all the NC haters🤣🤣🤣🍺👍

      @veliksami 2 місяці тому

      @@birchwoodbiker yeah that's the one thing I don't get, why so many NC haters? It really is a great bike, jack of all trades. Pretty good for short to medium touring, fuel efficient, maneuverable, reliable, and can be very fun.
      Are there better bikes out there? Sure there are plenty but they all have their ups and downs, for me the NC ticks must of the boxes in the things I'm looking for so I'm happy. 🍻

    Was the original chain beyond its wear limit? At what miles? My NC hasn't yet needed any adjustment after 3k miles

    I just purchased an used 2022 NC750 DCT. Only 5,000 miles so suspect the chain is still fine. What type of chain does Honda use on the NC (Standard, O Ring or X Ring) and how many miles did you put on the bike before the replacement? It would also be great to have a link to the X Ring chain you purchased if you get a chance. Thanks much for all the helpful info!

    • @birchwoodbiker
      @birchwoodbiker  2 місяці тому

      1st fantastic you will love it and hopefully put loads miles , I put the X ring by DID, to be honest it's personal preference, I always replace with DiD chains you should be getting at least another 5k on the chain👍👍👍

    Hello my friend, I am a new biker :) 2 years of experience only. Have a same bike, 2021 NC750 DCT ABS. For the first time I need to change sprockets and chain. What kind of tools I needed to buy to do this job? Thank you!

    • @birchwoodbiker
      @birchwoodbiker  4 дні тому

      Love to here all new NC rider's, you will need either chain splitter or grinder to break the chain they have a fixed link, socket set withuto 24mm, release the sprocket bolt 1st anti clockwise with the bike on it's side stand, then you have the choice of replacing the chain link with old fashioned slip link, other than that you will need to buy a tool for the new link, hope that helps, also a torque wrench to tighten. 👍👍👍

    Sorry but I'm a little confused, at 9:58 you're saying that to release that front sprocket bolt it's clockwise and to tighten it up it's anti clockwise (basically a reverse thread, but then at 16:18 you are saying it's the opposite? So please explain 😂

    • @birchwoodbiker
      @birchwoodbiker  2 місяці тому

      Hi veliksami, yes my mistake, it tightens anti clockwise the same way the chain runs👍👍👍
