When I'm cleaning my cars I often get comments from people, some are shaming comments. It's because they are lazy and have lazy mindset, so when they see someone doing what they know they should be doing, they can't stand it as it shows them for who they really are
I do always love the argument of “that much money could have fed X number of people” Yeah it did feed a bunch of people that worked to help extract raw materials, process them, design the product, produce it, distribute it etc. It’s that entitled mindset that everything should be free.
Some do. And it’s about anything you own. Sneakers, clothing, electronics, anything. If you’ve ever heard of a guy tell you of better ways to spend your money, they are hating. The way I put that was never borrow money for a toy. If it’s your daily driver, fine. That’s what you use to go to your place that makes you money. Your toy, or the other hand, if you have to borrow money you cannot afford it. Keep working, keep saving. You will get there.

Guys, the diffrence between: + jealousy "This guy is better than me, I will try to reach his level." - envy "This guy is better than me, I will pull him down to my level." Jealousy is good, envy is evil.
Envy is situational. Jealousy is personal. You can envy someones situation while at the same time being happy for them and happy that you could achieve what they have. You cant be happy for someone you are jealous of and it will make you unhappy.
There was a comment on another video about people being jealous of you having a nice car. He said that when people say "it must be nice" in a jealous tone, he looks them straight in the eye and says "it sure is".
Eh. Some people would rather have a plain vehicle thats reliable and use the money saved to travel the world or do other things. Do what brings you joy

I’m 17 and people give me shit all the time for having a “nice house” in their words, ($1.1 mil, not even the most jaw dropping). This happens even though I’ve never bragged about it to any extent. Shit is annoying because plenty of people in high school will go through great lengths to have the best cars or the best clothes to show off and then there’s me who often times buys people lunch, etc. I honestly get pissed asf now when people do it.
At my workplace every dude says shit to me like "I would drive a car like yours too if it wasn't for x, y or z. Those variables are almost always bad decisions, debt, alimony and child support and those comments stem from envy and insecurity.

I envy noone. These emotions simply drain you. Emotions such as kindness, generosity and gratitude are my mind's default. Like life generally it takes awareness, practice and consistency. More than anything it will set you free.
To people who think wealthy people should give their money away, this always bugs me because I have realized that is never a good idea. For the most part, it hurts people to give them stuff for free. Because they didn't have to work or pay anything for it, they don't value it and they become entitled for it. Then they become even less likely to work to become self-sustaining. We see this with the liberal cities, like LA and SF. Their homeless problem is because they enabled people to be homeless. If they really wanted to help homeless people, you offer them assistance but only if they put in their share of the work. You cannot help people unless they want to change, and you usually have to let them hit rock-bottom before they do.

Good for you brother, we need more experienced men willing to teach younger guys (if they are willing to listen of course). I always try to help the rookies at work if they are respectful and deserving of my attention.
I get truck shaming since a lot of guys use them as a cover for their insecurities. Try driving a smaller car (Civic or smaller), and watch how truck drivers behave towards you; it's like your rear bumper has a magnet on it that makes trucks incapable of keeping more than a foot away.
My 5-year-old is a car guy. It is instinctual innocence. He was 2 or 3 years old and started seeing cars and how fast they go and how cool they look. His interest started growing. Nobody taught him that. And I am positive he will be owning some cool cars when he's grown. It's not ego related. It is just if you believe in following what brings you joy or not. Some people don't believe in following what brings them joy. Imagine if someone saw a kid in love with fast cars and said "that kid clearly has something to prove". It's just a natural interest some people have.
I liked them as a kid, grew up around it and drive a fun car, well fun for me. Im even painting my summer rims this week as its time to pull the snows.
My younger brother was obsessed with cars since a toddler too. When he was 10 he started to count down the days until he could drive, which you were not allowed until 18 at the time. He cheated to but hard in a small German town not to get caught. When he was 14 he explained to me how cars were on his mind at all times and how painful it was to wait and wait.

My aunt who is a psychiatrist and actually a smart woman tried to shame me with the same argument that men who drive expensive cars have a small you know what. She also told my mother: why does he need a 100k + car? I am well off, I worked hard for what I got , am very grateful and 100k is a lot of money but I can easily afford these toys. I love my aunt but she is just jealous and envious -she owns a huge flat , a weekend house and a flat in Venice- Italy. I relate to poor people who envy me but somebody who has 3 homes? Despicable. I respect men who work hard and get enough money to afford nice cars. Good for them. It gives me inspiration to work on my goals. However, I think buying a really expensive car should only be done when you can actually afford it. Sometimes it’s better to use the money for savings or investment. Still, if you have millions of dollars, then it doesn’t matter I guess 😝 ,

I have no shame getting my shirt off in summer and seeing people check me out because i finally saw WHY people make jokes about guys showing off or whatever
Lots of women will shame you for spending $100K on a car, but if you spend $100K on buying them jewellery and taking them on vacations, no problem. Women are not shaming you for spending $100K, it's wither or not you spend it on them.
I always say: follow your envy. By knowing what you are envious about you can get to your true desires. Then take action towards these true desires. Being stuck in the jealousy mode or, even worse, shaming others for their success is simply weak. Thank you for the great content. I really enjoy your channel, although I'm not not your target audience.

My friends. I'm very happy with my one owner 1996 Mazda 323, manual box and wind up windows. It's fits in all car parks and doesn't block anyone's view on the road. And I've never had any complaints from anyone. If its safe and dry with good A/C then who cares.
This is a great video that everyone should hear. It's true what you are saying. For me personally I don't want to work to buy stuff. I work to buy freedom.
I get this crap all the time because I drive an SLK and a Jeep. When I get, "Sports cars are impractical, selfish, uncomfortable...fill in the blank." I answer, "it 's fun and brings me pleasure."
Still into motor bikes and cars .That's how I found you first before any of the others in this space. Thank you so glad I did. Dont listen to others that are so jealous small minded and cant go and make it hapen for them selves. Keep it up Rich.
Yeah you nailed, the shaming is an attempt to level set themselves with you. The reality is you have a sick ride, and you value that, and that is good. Those people that make comments like that are worried about what other people think.
People have the right to do whatever they want with their life and their money. If becoming a better version of yourself means cars, beers, video games and so on, it is your choice. I just choose different stuff.

Same here. I go on dates in my 20 year old Golf GTi and leave the 5 year old S5 at home. Also tell them I live with my family to sound them out. I own the house and my brother rents my spare room.
Rich! Congrats on getting the McLaren! Just stay safe, brother. Those things have way too much power and like Andrew Tate said: McLaren will let you crash. I've also noticed that there are less and less car guys, I'm struggling to look for them in my environment.
Yeah, thats perfectly sums it up a lot about thing's I hear with other people and their jealously of some other person's possessions or standing in the community.
As a person who's been on both sides. We've all been there when you're not in the mood, chilling with your window down and a Muffler deleted Mustang wants to floor it to 6000 RPM just to go 20 feet. I say that to say when given the opportunity to do the same thing I would do it 100% of the time haha. But seriously, no respectable man attacks another man for what he has that you would take in a heartbeat. Rich is spot on, good video.

I recently deleted a friend from my life because after I ordered (and then received) my C8 Corvette he became very bitter and criticized the car at every opportunity. He progressed to daily criticizing every single thing I said and every single thing I did. It triggered the shit out of him that I was able to purchase the car and other nice things.
