It took me years of trial and fail to figure out how to draw a perfect winged eyeliner. I hated my hooded eyes but once I learned how to do it right, it's no issue anymore!😊
Lol so true! Suggested primer use is dependent on how the artist was trained: if they went to cosmetology they don’t use it, if they were trained by a cosmetic line they push it
I'm currently going to school to be a professional makeup artist, and actually, they do teach us to use primer. Maybe not in the past, but they definitely do now.
I have dry skin but I use translucent setting powder all over my face and loose powder to set my concealer. The Rare Beauty loose setting powder was too radiant on me... Appreciate the tips!!
Ive just found you for the first time and some of your tips fly in the faces of other renowned MUAs.....so I'll need to try your way before I know if i could benefit from undoing years of doing things differently. Interesting though ❤
I use the elf liquid putty primer and kimchi loose powder with my foundation and concealer, and it lasts decently. I do need to repowder if, for example, I blow my nose, though.
First time viewer here. I want to be honest, by your video thumbnail I thought the actress Naomi Watts was giving a cosmetic tutorial. rofl You are gorgeous. Thanks for the tips!
I like some oil breakthrough as it looks more natural. Does anyone know about a loose setting powder that sets, but looks natural. I don’t like a matte finish.
Me too! I always mattify a bit more at the beginning to account for the oils later on (I am a lazy girl who cant be bothered to touch up!) There is a laura mercier powder that has a sheen to it - Real Flawless Luminous Perfecting Pressed Powder... It's a pressed powder which I think may suit you more if you want a 'natural' finish xx
@@BillieBlonde I definitely lightly set my super sheer foundation upon applying. I have just purchased a luminous powder by Chanel….I’m not loving the iridescent effect it seems to leave. I don’t mind an immediately mattifying effect, but it must wear down within the first hour. I usually spritz my face with water to speed the process.
I do not have any problem with make-up lasting, just using minimal amount and one layer. (Currently using Lisa Eldridge skin tint, RMS concealer, Westman Atelier blush stick and Charlotte Tilbury cream bronzer; rarely any powder, just a mininal amount to set undereyes & nose, Nars Light Reflecting loose).
Love your honesty more than anyone who claims to be a pro makeup artist!❤
Thank you 🥲 I know I can be quite blunt at times 😅 xx

I have very hooded eyes. I've just subscribed here. Are there any videos you would recommend on that issue? Tia

Yes that makes sense, has it got shimmer in it? I hate powders with shimmer... It defeats the object! xx

Thank you! 🙏 I’ve added it to the description xx
What fixing spray is available for purchase. Google regularly comes up with 'setting spray' not fixing.
@@jenkeays8065 try the Kryolan fixing spray, it’s sold out quite often but very much worth it!! Xx

I use the bobbi brown primer. If i don't wear it, my haus labs foundation doesn't last nearly as long. So at least for me it does work!

Hey! 🥰 Nice to have you here x
nice to meet you too
I used a primer once….and never used it again.
😂 which one did you use? x
@@BillieBlonde HA! I don’t remember! It was a clear bluish gel….it produced an unnatural flat matte finish.
