Why is this thing so expensive? I have multiple balance boards that I love. I am a dance educator and I utilize balance boards in my classes. However, as intriguing and cool as this board seems, the price is just too high, unfortunately.
As a dance educator you probably noticed the difference between this device and a basic wobble board, which does not invoke nearly as much ankle motion, and almost no foot motion in the way that this one does. But you can walk barefoot in the sand to get much the same benefit for free.
This would be great for the arthritis in my SI joints, atraphy in thighs, quads and peripheral neuropathy in my feet. I have and thoracic deteriation above prior fusion of L4-5 and my SI JOINTS. Unfortunately the $450 is a little steep right now. I wish your com0any well. It's an amazing product.😊
So first, it's not my company, I just went to test out the board! and while it's a great tool, there are lots of other options to keep moving while standing - many are free or very inexpensive! I have some of my faves in this video: ua-cam.com/video/dnLytJSXYjA/v-deo.htmlsi=OaRUuKSEGwfZ5Ekk
Scott ~ I use a 24"x18" inexpensive & thin (1/2" pile or less) rubber backed rug from walmart for under $10 for my hard plastic balance board. I have bamboo floors and the thin rug has kept my floor from damage 100%. I definitely will be buying one of these movemates for the foot articulation that my regular balance board does not have.
I’m looking forward to using mine after having a second hip replacement surgery!! (Mar ‘25) Should be able to stand and do small movements within 3-4 weeks post-op!
Hi I’m looking to get one, I wonder if you could do a video or explore how you’ve played with it outside the context of it being a “standing desk “. I’m curious about using it with kettlebells, maybe rope flow or any movement snacks. Seeing its applicability beyond - that seems interesting to me . Thanks !
I'd love to, but I haven't spent much time doing that yet and now mine is in Canada and I'm in Morocco - so it may take a while! I'm sure there's a lot you can do with it - you can get really interesting calf and hamstring stretches with it and lots of twisting options too.

That lady is super fit . I understand why this cost as much - one can see the quality in it and because its a new design the first roll out will be expensive to offset the research and development that would have gone into it .
I love and need that exercise which I first experienced in physical therapy, so I looked at the choices but none is like the one you show, which moves independently and effectively. Could you provide manufacturer so I can learn cost and availability?
Calvin & Hobbes: He stated, similar to ignorance is bliss that I deperately need what I did not know about yesterday ... or me thinking Hmmm I have some scrap lumber, some rubber, a drill ...😉
Might be helpful to people who Don’t have a standing desk. Or have CFS, post illness or injury, or Long Covid, real old or frail who are beginning a fitness journey, etc., people who don’t have the energy to stand much.
HI there, is the material wood (may have skipped parts of the video, apologies) One observation and question: a) you did not move the distance between your feet. That might be unconfortable in the long run (?) and would you try and test it for several weeks in a row at your desk and report back outcome please?
Yes, it's wood. And you can def change your foot position, that's just an accident of the editing. I unfortunately couldn't bring my board with me for the winter so I can't report back scientifically on it but I did use it for the fall and I really love how it makes it easier to move all day.
Jesus, people, stop asking those kind of questions! Think by yourself. You pay almost 500$ for this product and you asking for permision to use it as you want??? Are you seriouse? And if someone will tell you that you can not use it for fun on it's own then what? You will never use it in this way?? Or you will hide yourself in the basement just to play with it as you want? Because what? Police will come? ... Do you really think that you need the desk to use it? and without the desk it will not working out???! 🤨
@@iam8963 Hmm - I misinterpreted the original answer - I thought they were asking if it was good for your standing desk. You can use it wherever, and I personally use mine most at my desk but I'm sure you can use it for all kinds of things.

My thoughts exactly. $360 is ridiculous.
But! Looking at other does for sale, this seems to be better. I was hoping they might sell by payments over time rather than one full payment.
@@patnewson6908 it's just prettier. But not $360 prettier.

Oh my! I love this! Over a year ago I bought a hard board recommended by my PT. This does a whole lot more. Great.

Could you do this with your hands lightly on a walker, to prevent loss of balance or a fall, unless or until your strength improves?
No, you can't
I'm wondering what long term use would do to my floor?
I just popped mine on a yoga mat and it has zero floor impact as far as I can tell!

There's a link in the caption
There’s a plastic one that’s similar and trust me, it’s a work out…and it’s not expensive
Will you make an XL version for people with large feet? I'm size 14.
hmm - I would ask the MoveMate folks - it's not small though, you may not need a larger size
It's interesting. Thank you for sharing.

Pretty sure they had a great Black Friday sale - obv that's over now but I do think they have sales, yes.
SO is there any benefit if you also use while sitting?
I'm not sure why you would do that?

As a avid snowboarder I think this will be fun
Totally fun - we surf and it feels like a great crossover
Will it work on carpeting?
Yes, absolutely - although I find I can't spin it on carpet, all the other movements work well
Is this for use with standing desks? Or just playing around on it’s own?
Definitely for your standing desk!
