Watching these older videos and seeing the kids for and 5 years ago and seeing them now big difference. Seeing them learn and grow in too adults as well.
I think , everyone watched this already on Matt’s channel ,but always good to see from another point of view . That was the best recovery I’ve ever seen !! You two work well with one another 👍🏼
Matt comments about the exceptional group effort. I am reminded of the pioneers who 150 years ago and 100 miles south of Boulder Mountain who were faced with an impossible task: to cross the Colorado River Gorge at Hole in the Rock. You guys would have fit right in, no complaining, worked your butts off and smiling the whole time. This is a lesson on greatness, guys! Thank you!
That was such a kind comment! Have you read The Undaunted? Great read about those pioneers! Yep, Paul and Matt are pretty handy to have around! There’s usually nothing they can’t figure out.
In case anyone has not seen Matt's video, there was a comment by one of the hikers that came through. He said that the trail got progressively worse from that point, and would have been impossible for vehicles to get through. So it might even have been lucky that the truck slid off where it did, because it would have been that much harder to recover further down the trail.
@@WVdavidB So were the two policeman that called me later and very happy I answered the phone. Somehow the story didn't make it to the right people even though I reported it.
Yeah, I was a little surprised that they didn't move some of those uphill loose rocks to the downhill side of the road. Matt backing down that road over all that loose rock was sketchy at best.
Never EVER walk over a line in tension. Even when it is low tension, if the truck slipped down the hill it could be a problem. I watched a 1 inch steel cable cut a slice out of a D7 crawler tractor fuel tank when it broke while winching. There is a lot of energy there.
When everyone gets their off-road wreckers built, you guys can put a vehicle under each arm and walk out with them. Hi Ed. Nice seeing you. Much respect for everyone.
This is my new favorite channel.... Found threw matts towing which i love also. You and your families make me SMILE Daily! Thank you Everyone!!! Stay Safe
I've just recently found Fabrats, then Matts's off road recovery. been doing a marathon watch. bouncing beteew the two 10 to 15 videos back in forth. My POV some of best content on UA-cam
This was one of the craziest & sketchiest recoveries I've seen although there's been several on pretty extreme angles now & Lizzy always seems to end up driving them out. Great team work again.
No Toyota is complete without a set of dental floss sticks in the A-piller trim 🤭 Man that's a sketchy recovery,I got dizzy just watching you all do it 😱 Great video brother 👍
A tip of the hat to you all for that incredibly tough extraction. Well done! Oh, this is from a semi-old guy who has been in the BC interior mountains 4 wheeling since '81, so I've been in on more than a handful of "interesting" winch jobs. Thanks for the video and stay safe.
Came here from Matt's channel. He always calls you to help with the tough ones! Great recovery guys. You all have me missing my goal of moving to Utah!
I said this was beyond impressive after watching Matt's video of this recovery, and it is no less impressive after watching your video. I love how well you all work together. I liked that Paul warned the team to stay clear of the steel ropes. We had an occasion where I worked where someone forgot to open the tail gate of a 20 yard dump truck when tipping, and it fell back with the cab in the air. The driver was too scared to climb down, so was still in the cab when the steel tow rope broke from the tow vehicle (another dump truck) and a shackle sprung back and took out the windscreen. I didn't see this, but was told there was a loud CRACK and then smashing glass and finally the driver screaming! LOL Why do we laugh at stuff like this? :-( I think I remember Paul saying they are getting a new camera. Hopefully it will handle the bright sun and dark shadows better. Still an outstanding video, so please keep them coming.
I have watched MORR but wanted more, so I am watching from Fab Rats' point of view. Definitely worth a second watch. It was definitely a Technical Pull, but you guyz made it look easy... Maybe it was because your attitude was positive and cheerful throughout.
I enjoy watching you repair your equipment in the shop. I have just one question. Do you do private customizing on customer vehicles? You videos are also very entertaining.
I didn't get to thank you personally Paul, Best I can do say Thanks there. I made the mess that you and Matt and the gang cleaned up. It's not a road, no outlet at the bottom. Why it's there, ask the Forest Service. Thanks again.
We used to come across those from time to time. Two trucks, two winches, coax it up and out. I don't get why those other groups couldn't or wouldn't pull it out. You guys work well together. It was a good day. Everyone went home with all the parts they came with and no major leaks. Nicely done.
Enjoy watching your shows, sitting at home, 75 years of age, stuck home for the Covid pandemic, enjoying all your work and especially the scenery, such beautiful landscapes. You are blessed having your business in that area.. keep on going... I am trying to live with stupid advertisements in between for food, while I want to loose weight, and stupid games I never will download..
Love watching recovery videos. That aside, I have a simple question and hopefully I can get the answer here. I have a truck that had that set of wheels on the taco. Sadly a shop cracked it when replacing a tire. Ever since I haven't found a new set and had to replace all of them. I was wondering what those wheels are called.
Love the troubleshooting you guys did to work this out. I'm a dentist, so I also love the floss picks you keep in your truck, especially with all that Mountain Dew you guys drink!
Nice job guys. First watched it on Matt's channel and had to see it again. Have to say if all I got at the bottom of the rainbow was a beat up Chevy pickup I would be pissed.👍👍
Hola Fab Rats, coming over from Matt's towing. You guys are a good team. I'm a Toyota guy, your truck is awesome. New subscriber, Looking forward to binge watching your videos later today..lol
Nice job! I also watched it on Matt's channel but it was so good, I had to watch it again! You had some content that Matt missed, too. That would have been quite a hike to that lake, too, if you had brought your fishing gear.
Good Alternate angles from Matts video, Yeah this one was Beyond Sketchy, So lucky the thing didnt tumble. Side Note : Always keep a plastic jar full of spare bolts hardware etc.
Now that looked fun! What a great challenge getting that old Chevy out of that fix. Impressive problem solving fellows! You should’ve gone fishing though.
I love it when a plan comes together! Watched it on both channels. still wonder what that guy was thinking going up there! Did he have to change his shorts?
Now that I have seen both versions..that was one Hell of a job. That truck looked like it was sitting at 40 degrees and the "road" about 30 or more degrees. Seriously Sketchy
Great work ,, thought it was going to tip over ,,hard to tell on camera what angle its at need a angle finder lol ..did the trees move at all when you were pulling ?? was not my truck and i was on the edge of my seat ,,
It seems like I, along with a whole bunch of people, have come over here from Matt ‘s channel. I got to say Matt really seems like a standup guy into cool stuff, when he suggested I check out your channel it was a no brainer. Looking forward to what comes next. Since I have you here, and it sounds like you do fabrication, I have saved about $500 for a welder, is that enough to get something decent? Keep in mind I don’t really know what decent means, but mostly I will be doing general automotive/hobby stuff and doubt I would ever weld anything thicker than quarter inch, but I would like the ability to weld stainless. I’m leaning towards picking up something from Harbor freight in that price range...Any suggestions would be appreciated
Fab Rats thank you! If you read this before you talk to him let him know it’s the guy that just left him a comment on the video about Matt jeep about how inspiring his videos are for a young man like me out in California. You guys are living the life out there!
The friendship between these two families is extremely heart warming. I can actually feel the heat from the monitor... That warm.
Watching these older videos and seeing the kids for and 5 years ago and seeing them now big difference. Seeing them learn and grow in too adults as well.
I think , everyone watched this already on Matt’s channel ,but always good to see from another point of view . That was the best recovery I’ve ever seen !! You two work well with one another 👍🏼
Yep! That’s why we posted. Another perspective is always fun to see! Thanks for watching!
Fab Rats , no problem 👍🏼 keep making videos guys . Awesome channel.

Great seeing this recovery from another angle and hearing the story about Ed's part finding skills.
We love Ed!
I watched this on Matts now yours, this was a legendary recovery, 5 before you couldn't do it. Sick 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for watching!

Very true, I walked it in street shoes to save my dumb back side.
@@dmcpeck glad you made it out safe though! We've all been stuck at some point!
@@WVdavidB So were the two policeman that called me later and very happy I answered the phone. Somehow the story didn't make it to the right people even though I reported it.
Already watched Matt's version of events but this still have me a +10 pucker factor..
Yes indeed. That was some of the sketchiest, canted, loose rock trail ever. Gravity multiplied times 10.
Right lmao
Thanks for watching!!
Yeah, I was a little surprised that they didn't move some of those uphill loose rocks to the downhill side of the road. Matt backing down that road over all that loose rock was sketchy at best.
Me too, hate heights. I do believe goats would have said NOPE, NO WAY!
Seen both versions of this recovery. Y'all made a great team and kept everyone safe. Good job!
Anytime Matt calls you for a recovery you know it’s going to be an adventure.

Great watching it the second time around. Saw it on Matt's channel. You guys sure did a great job on this one.
Thanks for watching!
WOW !! That was a sketchy operation !! Steep. Nobody got hurt. Well done and THANKS.
No Toyota is complete without a set of dental floss sticks in the A-piller trim 🤭

That was as sketchy as it gets. I honestly don't think you can get any better than Paul ang Matt as a team. great content!!!!
Glad you guys got it out! I've spent lots of time up there chasing cows, it's awesome seeing you guys do such a good job.
Just as exiting the second time as it was the first with Matt. Great job guys.
Thanks for watching!

Two and a team, engineers, gearheads, mechanic, fabricators ,knowledge, and safety team success🧨🔩🪨💪👊🇺🇲🤙🤣😊🤔🎸
More coverage of a WOW rescue. I also watched Matt's yesterday. If this day had been wet or snow .
I have watched MORR but wanted more, so I am watching from Fab Rats' point of view. Definitely worth a second watch.
It was definitely a Technical Pull, but you guyz made it look easy... Maybe it was because your attitude was positive and cheerful throughout.
Paul and Matt are great guys to watch and the rest of the team is great also

As I said to Matt, a well thought out and executed recovery. Enjoying your videos mate 👍👍👍.
Back in the day before the Morrvair and having the chance to build how he wants rather than making due. Love Fab Rats and MORR.
Nice to see your angle on this recovery. This was the first of Matt's videos I watched, so long ago..... Thanks
Crazy it was there for 7 months without any vandalism. Nice recovery guys!
Thanks for watching!
Great combined effort, Matt and Fab Rats to get the truck out🤙😎
It's great seeing the two perspectives on this adventure!
Thanks for watching!
I'm glad I watched the recovery over here. You guys had more footage of the actual recovery. Boy oh boy was that sketchy!
Thanks for watching!

Recovery sketchy but successful! Congratulations!
I can't believe you rescued this vehicle. Amazing!
I wheel and watched Matt's video several times to figure out how you guys did it. Definitely two winch job. But a great job!
Thanks for watching!
You guys did good, that is a gift to be able to figure out how to pull that
truck off that cliff!!!
Thanks for watching!
That was one of the nastiest situations to deal with , you guys rocked it though .. Is Ed related to Matt ? He's such a cool old dude !!
No relation, just good friends. 👍🏻

Your Tacoma front axle swap with locking hubs is freaking awesome!!! How much would you charge to do my Tacoma?
Nice job! I also watched it on Matt's channel but it was so good, I had to watch it again! You had some content that Matt missed, too. That would have been quite a hike to that lake, too, if you had brought your fishing gear.

I love it when a plan comes together! Watched it on both channels. still wonder what that guy was thinking going up there! Did he have to change his shorts?

Great job! Hats off to all of you!

This was an outstanding recovery.
Nice job!
Now that I have seen both versions..that was one Hell of a job.
That truck looked like it was sitting at 40 degrees and the "road" about 30 or more degrees.
Seriously Sketchy
I've watched this several times. This time I could tell how steep it is!
Wow that was a bad recovery! Great job yall!!
A 4-piece Set of cheap Walki Talkis would help. Special near those loud engines.
Otherwise - Great work!!!
Amazing, what more can I say. Great team work. :)
One for the Desert Rats ... :)
As usual, you guys are awesome!!
You Guys are GOOD⛓⛓⛓🥇🏆🥇🏆🥇

Great work ,, thought it was going to tip over ,,hard to tell on camera what angle its at need a angle finder lol ..did the trees move at all when you were pulling ?? was not my truck and i was on the edge of my seat ,,
