My final purchase of 2023 was the Galileo. Yes I’m late to the party, but better late than never I guess. They’re not here yet, as HiFiGo is not exactly known for speedy shipping (from mainland China so I get it). I have Timmy’s collab with Binary the Chopin and love it. The Letshuoer s12 pro was my first iem and literally hurled me into the hobby, so I am expecting the Galileo to be excellent. I think that expectations are half of the problem in this complex and wonderful world of IEMs. But I’m f you let a good set “be what they are” and not what you want, or expect them to be, you’re starting from a good place. Anyway, sorry for the ramble. Very nice review! Subscribed!
Excellent plus informative review, and the fact that you tune pianos is just tremendous! 🎉 Music is ultimately about tonality, timbre, weight of notes and the ability to express micro details like the decay time after a note, or the space of a venue, etc. All the graphs help with frequency response and give us a place to start, but experienced ears like yours are what is required for a better understanding of what is tuned properly and using quality components while also rejecting the marketing hyperbole as just that. New subscriber here and I look forward to your next videos 👍
@StephenIngraham You are welcome. This is great as I've got lots of your videos to catch up on, and I'm really enjoying them with my Moondrop Aria's over a Fiio Btr7 right now,..lol 👏
Thank you. There is still a lot more I do not know have not experienced than the little I have. I just have a knack of sounding like I know what I am talking about. :)
This is a truly excellent review. Your detailed, musical illumination of these iems is very helpful. Also, I now have a new library of music to explore :D Do you perchance have an apple music/spotify profile I could follow? In the meantime, enjoy those harmonics.
Thank you. My playlists are kind of random…but here is a recent one with some newly discovered music. music.apple.com/us/playlist/week4/pl.u-NpXmmlGs1yEXz
I thoroughly enjoyed this review. I just started looking into this IEM and this is the first video I came across. Definitely subscribed! Also, definitely ordering this IEM
I've been interested in the Galileo for awhile and when it went on an Amazon lightening sale for $79 I started to rewatch reviews. I really don't need another iem but it was $30 off and it sounds like a good fit for me. Knowing that you tune pianos was helpful and your review finally convinced me to buy it and subscribe to the channel. I can't wait to try your tip for natural, real sound in the description. If I may make one suggestion, could you include a list of music used for examples in the video in the description?
@@StephenIngraham got them a couple of days ago and they are exactly what Timmy said his intention were. I personally am extremely satisfied with this set. Your review is spot on. Thank you 🙏.
Galileo has the most realistic tone on vocals and instruments. The EM6L has better bass and more air. ?? Your choice. Or go for something like the Celest Phoenix Call which has more detail.
oops. did not see the S12 Pro in there. For a planar I like the Melody better and I hear good things about the other newer planars but I am not a huge planar fan.
My two favorite cables are the Youkamoo which comes in just about every termination and the KBEars graphine, copper, silver cable. I own maybe 8 of the Youkamoo which are under $25 and excellent quality.
It is an Amazon Christmas special that I got at 70% off. The Joyful 1&1 from Kanpur…a totally unknown company. They are not bad…not great but okay. I use them for monitors while recording.

I so agree with you on your review. The Galileos are fantastic. And I got in on the same first 100 deal like you but I never tried to cancel.
That is awesome!
Subscribed! Really refreshing to hear something from someone as experienced as you.
Thanks and keep posting!

If you like the Galileo, you’ll love the Tangzu Wu Zetian Heyday edition! Love your format and detailed descriptions.
I would probably get a set if I had not already bought the S12Pro, before they came out. :)
What kind of cable did you get for 4.4mm? Thanks

hey what are the green IEMs you got on the left?

Quality review, gave you a follow.
If you like Cello you should check out Ben Solle...Learning to Bend is a great album.
Thanks. I will do that!
Hexa or Galileo?
I don’t have the Hexa, so I can not really say.
My 76-year-old ears agree.
:)
@@StephenIngraham 3 months later and I like them even more.
