Doing it for Dad

We know Father’s Day can be a difficult time for many.
“Mum phoned completely out of the blue and said your dad’s dead - nothing prepares you for that.”
For twins Alana and Lisa Macfarlane, their Dad was their world. But that world crumbled when they learned he had suddenly died of a heart attack.
“One day they’re there, one day they're not. It never goes away.”
Ines’ story has a happier ending. Growing up her dad suffered from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. But thanks to a heart transplant, their bond remains unbroken.
“I am so grateful that I get to spend many more moments with him”.
Every three minutes in the UK someone loses a loved one to a heart or circulatory disease. And more than half of us will get a heart or circulatory condition in our lifetime.
