    The Blade Pro 18x20 v9 is no ordinary piece of graphite. Lying beneath its impressive cosmetic is one of Wilson's iconic racquet molds. With its pro tour pedigree, the Blade Pro delivers a laser-like trajectory, making it easy to swing big and target the lines. By minimizing the technology between player and ball, this stick delivers the kind of direct feedback that advanced players crave. In addition to providing impressive stability and plow-through, this racquet's touch will enable you to drop the ball on a dime. Not only is it a great addition to your racquet collection, but it also offers an outstanding hitting experience.

      I believe the target specs have been unchanged, however we didn't carry the Blade Pro prior to this v9 cosmetic, so we are unsure of the average specs (like we do on all our racquets when we receive stock). Troy, TW

    If you add weight to the grip you make it more head light balanced but you don't take away weight from the head or the swingweight, so how is it gonna play (head)lighter?....

    • @OldSkoolLegend
      @OldSkoolLegend 3 місяці тому +1

      Exactly. It doesn't. It just feels a bit more balanced... until you really want to take a cut at the ball and then you feel like its pulling YOU. lol. I tried everything i could with my Blade Pro V8 to get it to feel balanced but manageable... u just can't. At the end of the day you are adding weight... and it only gets beefier. I can play with a POG better than this racket. Its just too uneven.

    Do you think the racquet is too head heavy? Like is it hard to maneuver around? Should I opt for one with a lower balance when buying?

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  3 місяці тому +1

      I guess whether or not it feels too head heavy (or if the swingweight is too high) will depend on the player, or the player's preferences. I felt like this racquet played best with some added weight to the handle, to make it feel more headlight. I can see how for some players, the swingweight and the balance of this racquet could feel a bit demanding. So if you know what specs you prefer, it may be a good idea to use something like our MRT services, where we can find one for you with a lower swingweight. Troy, TW

    You guys are REALLY understating how unbalanced and head heavy the Blade Pro's are. To anyone thinking of getting a Blade Pro...... BE PREPARED to have to shove a ton of blue tac/silicone/leather grip in/on the handle..... its not just a little head heavy.... its ABNORMALLY head heavy... .it just doesn't feel balanced... and the only option is to ADD weight... so to get some achievement of balance, you are at LEAST heading towards the 345g static weight. Mine came out to 351g.... this is just to get it to balance correctly. I see a lot of these Blade Pro's instantly being sold by their first buyers.... this is the reason why. People don't know what they are getting themselves in for. The H22's the Pro's use are custom balanced while keeping the static weight at bay. Not a lot you can do with these Blade Pro's unless you can handle 350g rackets.

I've been a 3.2 LTA rated player who regularly competed internationally in ITF events. save me the bs. This racket is not HEAVY as such... its UNBALANCED head heavy. it feels OFF... like the handle is TOTALLY hollow. Are you telling me you like a racket with a handle that feels feather light with a head that is totally tipping to the other side? Even the RF97 is easier to play with (BECAUSE IT's BALANCED CORRECTLY). Stop coming on here trying to act like you are the chosen one and that you need to lecture total strangers about their game. hotshot hero.

      @OldSkoolLegend 3 місяці тому

      @@therealkylekelly I've played and continue to play with 340-350g rackets. It's not the WEIGHT... its the abnormal WEIRD balance. I'd be surprised if a pro would even like the stock specs of this racket and how much weight the handle needs. Stop measuring egos and try to hear me out... I'm saying its to do with the setup of the racket... which adding weight to the handle cannot be avoided. This thing is lighter than the RF97 yet harder to play with... i don't mean harder to swing... i mean the balance effects how the racket head comes through when you are whipping the ball. It messes with your timing and just feel off. A racket that is hard to play with doesn't always mean "its too heavy, I'm not man enough to play with it." Do you understand?

      It is not head heavy or weirdly balanced. Maybe you got a really off-spec one or something. Definitely possible with Wilson QC.

      @Mewborne89 3 місяці тому +4

      There isn’t. I tried the new version and it felt basically exactly the same. I wasn’t super impressed like everyone talks about it. It feels like a “poor man’s” H22. I understand what they were doing with it, making it slightly stiffer than a normal H22, but why not drop the SW a bit as well and make it customizable and more playable for a bigger audience? You can tell with the feel it isn’t the same layup as a real H22. Gives great weight of shot but not many people should be using this racquet. It needs a very high level person using it IMO. Solid stick but maybe ten percent of people can wield it correctly. Beautiful paint job though!

      @@Mewborne89 I thought the previous versions of the BP were mid 60s RA? If this is indeed an update, the feel on these should be softer and more plush than previous BPs. A friend has both an H22 and the BP v9 from the Wilson Pro Labs Store, and several months back he said it felt the same as older BPs, so I'm curious if this is QC or purposeful change. Would be interesting to get a BP from TW and try it side-by-side with an H22 (sadly don't have one).

    • @Mewborne89
      @Mewborne89 3 місяці тому +1

      @@padflash this is just a paint update for the most part. The RA is probably low to mid 60’s, which the last one was too. My guess is about 65 or so. Watch Tan Tennis on UA-cam. Type in “Blade Pro v9 vs H22” and it should pop up. He goes over the difference between a normal H22 and the BP. It’s noticeable for sure. Not saying the BP is bad at all, it’s just a lot of racquet. I didn’t care for the feel a ton. I’ve used both, not at the same time, but the normal H22 I used was super plush yet crisp and the SW wasn’t super high.
