Welcome back, nice to see you put a video out ! Nice and clearly filmed, grafting is on my list of things to try, I never thought of using ptfe tape ! Thanks, Brett
Just found your channel, liking the ptfe tape. Always thought about grafting but it never happened because i never got round to buying the right tape. Nashi grafting time.
@@gotropicaluk8362 hope you get some fruit this year. I had only started growing mine last summer. It's will alive, but not sure , should I cut some of it off or just leave it to continue growing taller? It's about 60 cm in height at the moment, any suggestion?
Hey Chris. Grafting and filming without a camera "person" (I'm being PC here!) is an experience one can only truly appreciate when one has done it. Welcome back!
@@gotropicaluk8362 thanks are you still making uk tropical?😁 This is my 2nd year of growing or you can say trying to grow as it's so much to learn . Gardening is such a theraupratic experience in uk's weather.
@@easyandnatural6320 I’m still growing a number of different fruit trees around the house, I just don’t have the time lately to film anything... I’m sure eventually I will get back into it tho.👍🏻
I've had good results from putting Scion wood in the fridge in damp paper in a plastic bag then grafting when the tree buds start opening. I've got a navel orange tree in a cold greenhouse in Yorkshire. The flower buds are starting to open but I think it might be too cold for them to set fruit. Will it continue to flower after this flush or is that it for this year?
catscats50 keeping scions in the fridge in a bag is a good way to store them until your ready to graft. Some trees are better being grafted when the sap is actively flowing, like citrus and loquats, others are better when dormant. The naval orange one of the earlier citrus to flower. If the flower buds are forming and opening, then it won’t be to cold for fruit set.👍🏻
Great to see your return!👍🏻
Cheers Paul! Hope your well?
