After over 10 years of using Vintage Warmer on my bus. I tried a major mix project without it. As soon as I put it back on. The mix just came together. In terms of Glue.... Vintage Warmer is the best plugin for me.
Can't believe 20 years ago was 2004. I see PSP popping up recently and seeing their stuff is over 20 years old and still in good use makes me impressed
Vintage Warmer was the first plugin I ever purchased, back in the Cakewalk days. I'm sure it has appreciated in value now (being vintage) and I could sell it for a fortune!! :)
14 years for me. It’s been on every mix since 2009 .. Great explanation of how it works! When I heard Vintage Warmer for the first time I knew I could finally mix “ in the box”…. Without it?.. forget about it. It’s Always there.
I also had the plugin since it was released, but later sold the licence. Very simple distortion probably just a waveshaper, just what was possible at the time with the available CPU power.
Hey Dom.... Thanks trillions for bringing back the Nasty beast back from the ashes.. This really is one of the pinnacle of plug-ins that was ever built in my opinion... Also.. The new additions into the PSP family also sounds great.... Really oblige if you could do a video on the Impresser & the Saturator... Much Love... Cheers :)
Thanks for this. I haven't produced for a few years now, but studied music Tech / production / sound engineering and used it ALL THE TIME on every track about 15-20 years ago on ans OLD Cubase. Now back into it on an upgraded to Win 10 and Cubase 11 and wanted to see if I get still get this again, and as you said if still holds it's own. This sold me!! Cheers. 🤟
Dom!, YOU ARE THE MAN DUDE! I purchased the original when it first came out. Your video made me go through the back archives and WALLA! I FOUND IT. Though it is a 32bit plugin, using, jbridge, The Original PSP Warmer version IMHO, supersedes all the current analog, warmers, and saturation VST'S Currently on the market. Thank You for re-introducing me back to one of my most beloved plugins. I had forgotten how great and useful this plugin was, or should I say Is! It will be on every Musical Track that I create, Henceforth.
So great to get reacquainted with this old friend. Thank you for reminding me of all that it can do! Haven't used it in a number of years, and the updates are really great too.
I brought the 6 PSP sound collection plugins 20 ages ago. But anytime these doesn't work any longer. That was so annoying.. I should rebuild a windows XP PC and install them again for some sampling. The red analog and green drums collection was famous. This PSP collection has the most and best complete 80th of all plugins ever created. Damn!
Oh my first day was the Supertrack from Gerhard Lehrling. Notator in Atari, Pro Tools on Mac 1995, then Logic on PC XP. And I programmed my own complete DAW on Atari. That was fun!

@@DomSigalas yes thanks I will do. Did you own the PlugSound free ultimate collection from UV? This is also plug I am searching for a long time. Was completely free. But disappears some years ago.
I've also been using PSP VIntageWarmer since the first version of it -- probably my first PSP plugin (and I have all their plugins) after their original MixPack (and maybe StereoPack). It's probably been on pretty much every project I've done in one context or another. For years it was a constant thing on my mix bus, specifically to simulate mixing to tape.
I Started to beta-test it in 2003. In my opinion, it is a must have plug-in for Drums: I use it on Kick Drum, Overs, Toms, Room Ambi Mic, also on some Electric Guitars and Bass Guitars. We have just completed 20 years of partnership.
Hey Dom, thank you very much for your detailed and very impressive video. I must honestly admit that I didn't even know this plugin. I bought it through your link and I'm pretty impressed with how much better my mixes sound now, unbelievable! Thank you very much, that really helped me a lot. Thumbs up and just subscribed to your channel!
I remember using it when it came out. It was like magic. So analog for real. No cliché. It had that warmth not in terms of mid-bassy frequency response, but like a Scott receiver from the 70s and 80s with good paper cone speakers kind of warm, big and cohesive sound. No other plugin sounds like it. This modern version 2 is even better. It just has THAT sound that is hard to put into words but when you hear it, you know that's exactly what you were looking for. 🥴
Omg, omg and once again...OMG! You made soooo big smile on face with this video because you said exactly the same what I think and how I use Wintage Warmer almost 15 years! Nobody talks about this amazing plugin and I'm so happy you made this video. And watching this I found that we use exactly the SAME crossover frequencies (arround 5,4..5,6 kHz and 70Hz) . Haha :) . Just amazing!
Got the Vintage Warmer when it came out. It still sits on my mix bus for every mix session in multimode with FAT on - ahead of the final limiter, but it probably does most of the limiting to be honest. The final limiter just does maybe 1 or 2 dB gain reduction and all the usual checks and balances. I'd be lost without it.
I think the first one I bought in 2002 - 2004, love version 2 and I do have it installed but I have not given it any love for a long long time, time to bring it back...
Hey Dom, I got one for you: Waves Scheps 73. I achieve a similar effect of adding analog warmth by pushing the drive knob. Waves is also having a sale, $30 for the plugin, it's part of my secret sauce.
