- 👉 In this quickie episode, I'm sequencing another pocket-sized hip hop beat with my Teenage Engineering PO-33 KO. I love this sampler because of how easy it is to pick up and play with, I always end up composing quirky and fun little beats with it.

Recognised the music from that Lupin movie just from the first note!! What an awesome candidate for remixing.
Solid choice 👌

Really dope, man this thing looks fun to play with even as somebody who never made any music before!
The Pocket Operators are designed to be very fun and intuitive! They're somewhat limited, but in a way that it directs your creativity.
And IMO a sampler like the KO unit is probably one of the better ones to start with, since you can sample basically any sound! Other PO-s, the ones that synthesise sounds, can have a more limited sonic palette in comparison.
That said, they're definitely not a requirement to get started with music - if you have an iPad or an iPhone you'll have access to GarageBand for free, with loads of software instruments. But that lacks the tactility of hardware like this, and is also a lot more open-ended which can make discovering your musical "voice" more difficult than the guided limitations in a PO.
@@kaitlyn__L thank you for your extensive answer! Yeah I have access to garageband but, like you already mentioned, this seems more intuitive if you hear a piece and go like „this could be nice in a beat“
I mostly listen to hip hop/rap/Rnb, but other genres too, feel like (without discrediting any other genres) the beats can elevate stuff more and are more experimental than for example smth popish on the charts. Like I said this definitely looks fun to just play/fuck around with when you are less experienced.
very intuitive, especially when it comes to the effects button! Just hold fx and go through the effects!
I got my PO 33 ko 2day MATE OMG

This is really cool! Do you have any recommendations for budget vinyl players to use for sampling?
What kind of cable is that on the output of the po-33 and how do people record videos with live audio from the po?!??
Its a 3.5mm aux and u setup multiple diffrent patterns with variations and then u can choose which pattern when plays like. 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5, 1 and so on
yo bro, what cable is that?
How do you make it in to chops
it does it for you! chops it into 16 notes
Straight fire.
