NISCHE UPGRADE! I looked at that boat when shopping for a boat. But there was no way I could live with that transom and lack of storage. You hooked old dude up! God bless him, I hope he catches a BIG UN!
Top notch as per usual, don't sell yourself short by calling it pretty good man, that build turned out great.....🍻.... merry Xmas guys, enjoy the holidays
I just removed all the foam from my 1448 grizzly. After all the posts about how hard the foam is to remove I was worried but after doing it. It wasn’t very hard. I used a Milwaukee hackzall with a Diablo long wood demo blade. I cut out squares maybe 4inch by 4inch and used a pry bar like you were using. Stick it in your cut line and twist and lift up. Each piece broke off like that until I was all done. A shop vac to clean up and clean was all clean. I did the whole front deck, floor, rear bench and rear pods the same way. Gained 4 mph, sits higher in the water and planes off so much better. Foam was saturated in the front deck, floor and bottom of the bench and rear pods.
Its a piece of ⅛" aluminum plate i bent into a 1½" x 3" angle. Its over bent to account for the degree of the side walls. It gives me a flat surface on the side for the frame and hatch to sit on. I can ship you some if you need something.

Good job. Glad is wasn't to bad. Every boat is different.
I like it! Good size boat, too. It'll be an excellent fishing boat. And with the upgrades, be much more comfortable.
For sure. Lots of room for a 1448
That is sweet. Another super great job
Thanks brotha

8:05 when you built the front deck, and you have that angle on the gunwales that you have to account for, can you explain the part you made and how?

What kind of welder are you using? I’m wanting to buy one for my 18ft aluminum boat but not sure what to buy
I'm using a Miller Dynasty 210 but they are very expensive. Id recommend an everlast 200 tig. You can get one shipped to your door for less than $1200
Fkn bad ass!!!!!
Thanks brotha
