Sweet build. Never thought I would see a side console 14 foot Jon but it’s pretty slick.
Matt, I'm really surprised at how well this build is coming together, it's going to be an awesome 1448 tourney boat! Anxiously awaiting your next video! Take care and be safe!
Awesome Build. Where can I get a console? I have a 1448 that is ready to goto the next level. Thanks for sharing what you do!
Why didn't you use a black storage bin from Lowe's to hold the fish.😂😂. You probably know where I'm going with that comment. Love your work 🔥🔥
Hahaha. This is trickedtins you must be commenting on the wrong channel lol.
Honestly I like the side consul layout. The hatches really maximize the space in there. A great 14 foot rig.
Gotta be for the Jon boat elite trail
Lol, idk if he is gonna fish a trail, but it's gonna be a bad ass rig.
Nice fix in the transom area. Some projects are not DIY. At least not for everyone.
Awesome work brother! I wished my Grizzly 1448 looked like that, minus the console 😂. What would a build like that run?
Great looking build as always. That’s a pretty cool layout.
I’m curious about the switch placement. Why there vs mounting them on the console?
Thank you. The reason for the switch panel in the front is because we need the removable pan for access to the livewell pumps. He has another panel that will go at the consol.
I agree, those seats look super goofy. If that was my boat I would have just asked for them to be flush mounted or just put some Hydroturf down on the bench and call it a day. I'd question if those are actually even safe with the motor he's looking to put on it. Other than that, killer build as always!
Hahaha. While I was reading your comment. I was picturing him hitting a big wake and the whole ass seat just flying out with him in it.
Austin needs to come back and start selling boats with custom packages! Sell em through a dealership or something!
I think austin is coming back full time! We have a bright future ahead of us. In the meantime i'm trying to wrap my head around everything going into your extravagant build! Project X video dropping next week!
@@TRICKEDTINS I would love if you guys sold pre cut kits for specific makes/models. Not sure how many takers you would have but I know if you or anyone sold kits I could install in a day or two (no measuring required, just drill and rivet) it would definitely sway the hull I'm willing to buy.
Matt, Does the TM foot tray help strengthen the area being the fact the inner support is cut? My 15 year old really wants one for our 1448 and our Tour Pro pedal. Only thing stopping me is I’ve seen that brace while looking from the hatch access. Thank you.
It will be fine. Worst case you add a small tube or angle as a kick stand if you think you need it
Where are you guys located I got a 1448 also it's a 2004 it's a little bit stronger than the newer ones it has ribs it's an old weld I had a 2013 it just totally fell apart split everywhere was falling apart but on my 2004 I got a couple of loose spots like up in the deck that rattle I'm wondering if something can be done about that and if you do stuff like that
@TRICKEDTINS in in Florida and where I live in Florida find nobody that works or does any kind of aluminum welding
Theres a pretty cool swing away side console a guy manufactures in Aussie land...Ganat is the name I think, few youtube videos.
Couldn’t you do a seat base with fold forward storage box? It would give you the seat at the right height and give him the storage he needs. Just a thought kinda kills back boater area.
That's a good idea thought about making those seats permanent. Just bolting them directly to the hatches. We'll see what he says. Thanks for watching appreciate the comment.
Hey I have a question. I got the same boat. It's still tiller steering. I'm wanting to add a console but slide all the way up to the front deck with a seat bench that comes off the back deck. Do u have any ideas on that and a live well the go from the side of the console all the cross the boat for big catfish any opinions are ideas be grateful thanks
@trickedtins do u know off hand the dimensions of the inside of the rear bench on a tracker 1648
What cutting wheel do you use on the grinder?
Thats a great question. Been on the fence lately. Ive been using radiac wheels forever but lately the quality has really fell off and makes me nervous. I also use klingspore wheels they are really nice but $$$$$pricey $$$$$. Im in the mix of deciding on my favorite cutting wheel atm.
Thank you for the quick response, ive been redoing a boat and have been having a terrible time cutting the aluminum. I’ll give the klingspore a try today
How much something like this cost
Depends on if you're going to do it yourself and just buy my materials or if i do it. My labor is expensive.hit me up on IG if you want more info
They used that 3/16 plate because that’s what they had lol. Po people doing po people thangs….
Dude you simply the best at this !!!
You have my money coming your way soon dude 👊👊👊👊👊🫡
Sounds like you’re busting the owners balls over their welds! I love your work! Keep it coming Bro!
The customer bought the boat like that. He's not the one that welded it
