Like most animals. Humans make up fake stories to make ourselves feel better about killing them and hitting them. “They don’t feel pain in their mouth.” Well that’s convenient. “They can live with one claw!” Another convenience that happens to benefit humans. “Whales don’t get caught in traps.” Yet another one. As a fish keeper, I can attest that fish definitely have personalities. Out of all of my fish, there is one particular one that immediately comes to the front of the tank whenever he sees me. He will stay there until I open the top of the tank & then he’ll let me hand feed him. He is the only fish I’ve had that lets me touch him. He’ll rub against my fingers & hang out for as long as I’m able to. This is an awesome video. Thank you for sharing! 🐠🐟🐡
My friend had 3 fish in a tank and when I went round I would give them a pinch of food. They started recognizing me as soon as I walked in the door, and would gather at the front of the tank waiting for their meal. I never thought fish would recognize a person through the glass of their tank from 6 feet away!
I had my son's Oscar for a few years. He tolerated me but definitely had a way to indicate those that he didn't like. He hated my brother and would wait for him approach the tank so he could splash him. Same with a few other unsuspecting visitors who went to the tank to admire him. People he liked were treated to an awesome display of good will and posing at the side of the tank. Others were drenched with tank water and given a baleful stare as he swam away.

@@SwiftyShaft. One of my best friends died unexpectedly in December. It has been unbearable. I wasn’t planning on adopting a rescue again because of my age. Despite that, little over a week ago, I decided to see if our local animal shelter had any dogs. I called about one the next morning and he had been adopted. A couple of days later, a tiny female was posted, who is 7. I think I have another few years in me! I immediately began the process of adopting her. I was approved and since I am housebound, they are kindly bringing her to me. Her elderly owner died and her children put this tiny, sheltered dog at the pound. She was doing so badly that the pound called a rescue group to help. I saw her picture when it was posted online. She lost a third of her body weight in a couple of weeks. I had the most precious loved one the same thing happened to. He was 13 pounds, had weighed 18 when he arrived and should have weighed 24. He was with me 12 years. I can’t wait to improve her life. It’s the best way to honor both of my loved one’s memories.

So touching. Reminds me of my last goldfish. I’ve had many before Pico. He was black had the big pop eyes and a fanned tail. None of them would let me pet their fins or back or rub their head. Pico would see me and rush to the top of his bowl for a pet, no food reward just a pet. None of the other goldfish I had would let me do that. I’d run my finger across his bowl. And he’d follow it. Once I did it for five minutes and he followed my finger. So much for the three second attention span they say goldfish have. I fed him these flakes and his black turned to a brilliant gold but his fin tips had were black lined. They looked like racing stripes. He was a very active fish. Oh I loved that fish. I was going to move him to a bigger home and he suddenly died. He was only six months with me. I was so heartbroken I never got another fish. I seemed more attached to him than all the other goldfish I had since my first one I won at a fair in 1968 when I was 9. Tommy lived for two years. So it doesn’t surprise me that the diver made a fish friend. Animals are amazing critters. They know when you help them, they know you love them, and this fish just likes this guy and his buddies do too. We don’t give enough credit to many animals to have the capacity to show these kinds of feelings of liking you. I mean I had two red slider turtles as a kid. One was grumpy and introverted the other outgoing. Who would ever think that a turtle would follow you. No reward just follow because they like you. So when I saw a video of a person with a growing tortoise being affectionate, another with his iguana being affectionate, nothing to do with warmth or food. They just wanted to be with you, you realize animals are more complex than we realize. And this fish proves once again, that animals have likes just like anyone else. They’re not limited. It’s beautiful to see. I hope the diver’s fish friends have a very long life and friendship with him.

I respect people who admit they do it and don’t care more than someone like you who makes up lies to justify it while also acknowledging that these animals have pain and personalities.
@@MikeySkywalker I have cared for, rescued, and fostered hundreds of animals. I know they have feelings. I like animals better than people. But you completely ignored what I said about factory farming killing far more lives. All life matters from big to small. I do the best I can but that's all I can do. I will never try or be able to please any vegans.
Everyone, remember! FISH ARE FRIENDS!
LOL, he was chasing the others away at first, telling them, "This is MY hooman" then changing his mind and inviting the school to come visit the man.
Well, that’s his gang, he just brought backups 😂

Sooo heart warming...
Such a beautiful and special story. 🥲
What an inspiring story which I wish would be told to many more people. The story of truly seeing the magic of all living beings and them being as worthy as humans. Love this
This shows we have awesome intelligent creator. Wow!
That's pretty incredible.
Wow they sure trained their human well
This video is so inspiring and moving!! I am going to try to stop eating fish. I have already cut out all meats, except fish. Now this video is touching my heart deeply to go further. Thank you so much
You Can Do It!!!👍🐡🐡❤️💚💛💜
@@hayleystewart5827 , thank you so much for your support!!!!
Fish do have a lot of extremely healthy nutrients in them, I'd suggest still eating fish but just invasive species. Carp, for example, are extremely damaging to the ecosystem in a lot of places.
It’s not the eating that is wrong, it’s the mistreating
This is so adorable. You’re blowing his mind. The way he gets in front of you and just looks at you. 😍😍😍😍😁😁😁😁💕💯
When I see videos like this I start thinking there is more to this planet than we realize
Much, MUCH more
MORE THAN MORE
