Many thanks for putting it all up front. Wish I was told up front when I started my journey back in '87
I always wanted to know about the capuchin, very interesting.
Go and see.
I meet all of the requirements and strongly feel the Lord leading me to becoming a capuchin. Does being prescribed to medications stop me from becoming a friar? I have been prescribed for years now, due to my mental health. It keeps me very stable and I have been for many years. My day consists of volunteering with the poor, attending mass, and adoration. As well as praying my rosary frequently and reading go scripture. Just curious as to if there is anyone there who also has to take medication
I would speak directly with a vocation director or vocation coordinator about this question. Ask for them by reaching out to contact@capuchins.org
Could you please explain the meaning of coat of arms OFM capuchin? The coat of arms which has thorns, heart of Jesus with three nails, Angel, hands of Jesus and Francis. I found that picture but don’t know the meaning.
That coat of arms is specifically for the OFM's, not the OFM Capuchin's, so it's specific to their order. I do not know the origin.
Hello Fr. Curtis. Is there an age cut off point for aspirants? I have noticed that the vast majority of orders will only accept men up to the age of 40. Is this the case with Capuchins?
Yes, there is an age limit of 40: ua-cam.com/video/hJJlH7YIfhM/v-deo.html
@@CapuchinFranciscans Thank you for your reply and the video link. Is this a strict limit or can exceptions be made? I only ask because I’m 43, but I feel a great attraction to the friar way of life. Is this something I should ignore or abandon?
@@Taipan108 I would leave a message for one of our vocation people, wither Deacon Hal Goldwire or Fr. Joseph Mary at: 303.477.5436
Or you can find their email on capuchins.org
Look into the Secular Franciscan Order-no age limit, but like any order-it’s a process and you are expected to perpetually commit to the Franciscans order
In SA, its difficult to find an suitable order without having the funds to visit each order, so one ends up not getting to the religious life and if one lacks favorable knowledge of an order in first visit, thats a kick out of the door unfortunately so maybe another visit the benedictines if i can scape up the money again.
Good luck!
Hi good day is it possible to join you in your Community?
There are many different provinces of Capuchins, where are you from? If somewhere in the US, you could reach out to us here: capuchins.org/vocations/
so can I be a Capuchin as a pharmacist?
I would reach out to the Capuchin vocation director in your area directly about this question.
@@CapuchinFranciscans the problem is I live in Ankara/Turkey. Nearest Capuchins are 600km away from me. But thanks for the advice! I'll look forward to go there.
I just asked about how to become a capuchin monk/priest on Facebook a few hours ago on yalls Facebook page
Good thing you found this video!
What of someone who is using an artificial limb ????
I would speak directly with the vocation director in your area.
Am 16 can I join perhaps
Unfortunately no, that is too young: ua-cam.com/video/hJJlH7YIfhM/v-deo.html
You can confess your sins directly to God The Father, Who Will Forgive & Forget All your Sins. The Father grants you the Gift 🎁 of Repentance and Once you Believe You are Saved, Sealed and Sanctified by The Holy Spirit 🕊🔥 of Promise Until the Day of Redemption.
While God hears all our prayers, God chooses to work through his ministers - the priests and bishops as we read in John 20:23.
