Rick: "I can give you 63 cents. I'm taking a risk."
nice copypasta
Rick: "Well, ya know, it's going to cost me money to frame that one dollar bill."

Rick : *Spends $100,000 on a screen used gobstobber*
Also Rick : *Refuses to spend $80,000 on Star Wars screen used props*
Well to be fair, from what Rick was saying, Charlie and The chocolate factory was a personal thing for him from childhood.
You can see it in his reaction to the gobstopper.

Rick: I'm hungry lets go to the donut shop
Donut Shop Worker: That donut will be $5
Rick: How about $3.50
Donut Shop Worker: Sorry sir, I can only give it to you for $5
Rick: Alright lemme call my buddy that knows a lot about donuts
Rick's Friend: Rick, in my professional opinion I'd put the value of the donut right at $5
Rick: Best I can give you is $3.50. I'm taking a risk here.
So true
If someone charged me $5 for a Donut I'd call an expert too.
I hadn't thought about that but yeah, it had better be one hell of a donut.
I gotta resell it, and it’s just gonna sit in the shop and get stale.
"Let me call my disgraced authenticator down here so we can rip you off"
I’m surprised how little detail the blaster had
Jake Fejer
I wouldn't be surprised, if this was fake. "You would have too wonder, what happened, to Boba Fett". Like really? Boba Fett never died. *Lmao* Some expert they brought in... huh?
Sir puss regardless, still looks like a shitty piece of plastic. But I still want it
He said it was a storm trooper prop. Even screen used they has A LOT of stand in storm troopers. This was not a hero prop so way way less detail. This prop needed to look convincing for a few seconds of screen time at a distance and/or while the person carrying it was moving. By Episode VI the hero blasters actually fired .22 caliber blanks and in the non remastered version in one scene where Lando is shooting you can see the spent cartridges being ejected. That prop would be an $80,000 prop on its own if not more.
Jake Fejer it's probably a stunt blaster made with rubber for troopers who have to fall down or get blown up. You don't want the actor getting hurt holding a metal blaster pluses it could break a metal blaster which would take longer to make then a rubber mold.

However, on July 16, 2014, Star Wars author and historian Jonathan W. Rinzler stated in a Reddit AMA that Lucas has said that Boba also survived the sarlacc in the new canon,[34] though this has yet to appear in official new canon media.
starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Boba_Fett
Edit: George Lucas wanted screen time of him surviving the Salic-pit. But, he couldn't fit it in for the remainder of the film.
Also, in *LEGENDS* (Keep in mind, these are *Tales / Stories* of what happen, between or after the films). He was alive for decades! Where have you been?
*DISNAY* discontinue legends sadly...

Guy saved himself from getting ripped off by my buddy rick here
uhhm no rick is a reseller if you want top dollar value for what your selling DONT TAKE IT TO A RESELLER
Yea but not 25 k ripped off guaranteed . He could've offers 60k and still made 15k . Easy work
TheDarkKnight There ares fees to sell it at auctions so it wouldnt be 15k easy
I don’t think you know how a pawn shop works. If he gives the dude $80,000 and sells it for $80,000, he makes no money. However, if he pays $50,000 for it and sells it for $80,000, he makes $30,000. That’s why they offer less. Every pawn shop or reseller will do this
Either ways the whole collection was probably worth more than 75,000 and that guys was trying to help Rick out by such a low price
The seller seems like a nice, honest person.
"Hey can I get change for a hundred"

Haha. This comment freaking rocks. LOL
I love how Rick is so inpatient that he just tells Steve to get to the point.
Rick is a Philistine and anyway, if he buys all that stuff, he'll have to frame it, and that costs money.
"I'm hoping to get £70 dollars for this pencil"
Rick: "I have a friend who is a HUGE pencil fan, I'll call him"
Gaming Collie EPIC
LMAO😂

Well someone came in selling whistles, and had an expert that knew about whistles.
I think his name was Fadious. He's the eccentric chap, with the cap, and facial hair.
Someone brought in a cuckoo clock, and Rick had an expert that knew about cuckoo clock!
He also has an expert in aircrafts and modern militaria.
When he calls “his expert” he tells the expert what there asking so the expert can just low ball their original offer by 5%
Glad the guy held.. With a bunch more movies coming out this will double or triple in value as these movies get released..
I think the most value will be when they actually stop making the movies. When collectors know that there won't be another sequel, they'll have to pay extra because there won't be anymore movies to get memorabilia from, so the demand goes up for the old items. Plus, if you have items from the original cast members, those are worth a fortune because a lot of people hate the new movies and don't like the characters.
In the same if you wait too long to sell, the interest dies. Props from movies in the 50's/60's used to carry value, now they're worthless relics whose better off in a museum than in some collectors possession
KazikoFPV check out when star wars iv came out

its funny how the bald guy always seems to have a friend that knows about the stuff lol
Sejus Mai this show is staged...
Sejus Mai ya
Sejus Mai ur obviously stupid
Scripted/show or not, like, if you're running a pawn shop as big as the man actually does (I don't care how distant he is from the actual real brick-and-mortar operation or not) then you will know a lot of people called appraisers who are usually specialized in certain areas. The guitar guy, the pop culture guy, the retro electronics guy, idk, you name it. Like, it's a real thing, I know people who own actual pawn shops that are not on TV and they routinely call in specialists to evaluate items. It's never done like, that quickly though. And it oftentimes doesn't even require a trip to the store. There's never any celebrity guest appearances. But for valuable items absolutely an expert's opinion is very valuable. Most pawn business doesn't revolve around top-notch valuables like that though besides jewelry maybe.
"Hey I got 300-year-old, half eaten wine infused cheese that was shot out of a cannon multiple times"

The "GUY" that he always calls always gives a lower price than the offer
Well if you want to sell sth you always call a higher prize first
Nah I remember he called a "guy" and he said it was worth more than the guy was asking for, but it was something from the early 1900's
There was a recent one about a leaf from an old bible and she estimated it a lot higher than the guy asked for
because rick has to make money too lol.
they do fix em occasionally so they don't get this bias, but apparently they don't do it enough because they still have the bias lol
The old Star Wars cannot be beaten
How many random friends does rick have??? Lol
Hector Ortiz as many that makes it convenient for the show .
Like four. It's the 4 same guys that know everything.
He just has a bunch of people in his contacts probably saying star wars buddy or art buddy
Hey, lemme call a friend of mine to see how many friends I have. My friend is an expert in that. XD
I don't know need to call an expert
Glad to see this fan and collector came to his senses and did not get low balled.

i know a friend who knows a friend and this friend knows other people's friends' friends who are experts in star wars!
Kevin *who are experts in experts on experts on star wars.
It's refreshing to see the correct use of the possessive in a UA-cam comment.
1:18 I was just like "THATS IT?"
I just wonder why some people are on this show trying to sell stuff they clearly ask for huge money so he won't buy it from them XD. I think some people just want to show off their collections.
+MxMoondoggie Rich people who collect items like that will buy the blaster alone for 50 grand. His price was perfect.
+MxMoondoggie Yup pretty much! *waves hand* This isn't the buyer you're looking for. lol
It's staged.
It's a win-win. Pawn stars has interesting memorabilia from Star Wars, and the guy has it authenticated. So there are a lot of reason :D
That OR they want the free publicity to help them along the way in their attempts to sell it down the road. You can literally say "As Seen on TV" for your lot of goods for everyone considering it down the line.

dude even the appraiser said 75k, Rick tried to low ball him to 52k lol. then when dude asked for 70k which is a loss to him since the appraiser said 75k, rick told him 52k, lol. like gtfo. At least offer him 60k, he could easily had flip that for 75k.
You do understand that a pawn shop has to resell the item. If 75k is the retail price, he has to get it for a bit lower than that so that he can resell it and get around 75k. I am not saying I agree with the price, I am just explaining how buying and reselling works.. lol
I was expecting a $60-65k offer. Star Wars sells quick as hell and that's at minimum a $10k profit.

Thank god for favreau and filoni, literally our only hope to save Star Wars from Kathleen Kennedy and her “woke” agenda. Didn't age well. Disney absolutely murdered the franchise beyond repair, the passion absolutely has halted. Anyone who likes Star Wars today is an easily entertained lemming and this is coming from someone who loved Star Wars as it was once my favorite franchise.
at 4:00 - "that passion is never going to stop". Yes it will, now, thanks to Solo
I love Star Wars, but for 50 grand .I'll take it.
+Omega742000 Why? Think of it this way, I'm doing this with my authentic Stan Lee autograph - I'm keeping hold of it so it's a collectors piece and when the time does come and Stan Lee does pass away, that autograph which is authentic as I said before, will be worth a shit ton of money. If I sold it now, I'd regret it when he does pass away because someone else will be like "Well I paid so much for this...now it's worth this, this is the best day of my life!".
I would have kept hold on all of it which I bet he would have done, then sold it off at auction or even on eBay auction with a reserve price of that amount - $80k and see people bid more once the said prop maker has passed on.
+Omega742000 Yeah, but who knows how much money that guy put into buying those pieces. He's looking to make a profit too.

People who treat people like they’re losers for being nerds and being into Star Wars need to grow up. Rick and co are always so rude to Star Wars fans who sell things and they always treat them horribly and pick on them. It’s so irritating.

If these are really screen used props he would be better off auctioning them with Profiles In History which had a tv show on the sci-fi channel.
That's some $$$$$ hanging on his wall. He has good taste in art.
Rick: there is no margin for me.
75000 - 52000 = 23k
Yea but auction fees take up a ridiculous amount.
What a way to treat your friend, Rick
This guy could just sell this stuff on ebay by himself for hundreds of thousands of Dollars
Not if its worth 75k
theyre not fake
The stuff got authenticated on camera, so like... and there are explanations for why some of the items aren't as detailed as you would think in threads on this video. Basically unless the Storm Trooper who was holding it was one of the ones who was prominently featured in a shot then he'll get what's called a "Hero Prop" vs. just a standard Stand-in or Extra prop (which were more common and were less detailed). I mean we're talking like maybe 5% of them were hero props the rest were held by the other hundreds of extras playing stormtroopers in the films.
EBay and PayPal take 12.9% as a group.
Nah that type of memorabilia you don't sell online. You find a private collector with $$$ and sell it to them. Not worth losing over 10k in fees.
