Hi, is there a repair kit for the oil pump on the n47 engine?
Hey, I got a problem with low oil pressure, at first when the light came on the engine started to rattle like the one in the video, I stopped the engine after 1-2km and next morning the starter would crank , but the engine didn't start, do you think that would be fixable or the engine is gone ?
My engine has no knocking sound ...just oil light , ccid 212 ... i checked the oil pressure (not oil level i checked oil pressure , but oil level is fine too ) i changed oil sensor and still same oil light???

I am trying to remove the casing to remove the pump but the engine bridge does not allow me. Did you have to completely disassemble it? Do you have some pictures of how you did it? Thanks to your video I have been encouraged to do it myself, but I find myself with that doubt.

You can remove the nuts from the engine mounts and lift the engine or you can remove all the bolts from the subframe not completely just enough to lower the subframe to make room for the oil pan

Hi, Greetings from Croatia, i have question if you can help me because i cant find the solution. I have E90 318d 2008 n47 motor. It is using oil a lot 5w30 castrol 1l 1000km after changing it to 5w40 it slows dows to 2-4000km at best. Can't find any oil under car no leaking as i can see, sometimes it is white smoke at morning when is cold but not after that. Disconnected pipe that goes to turbo and i didnt see a lot oil residue there so i think it is not turbo. Antfreez or cooling fluid is not missing nor it have more to be mixing with oil. Some time after like autobahn car if you drive it like 130kmh 50km goes in limp mode doesnt have power and it is like now in 5 or 6 gear when i gonna speed up to pass a car it have like low energy not pulling it like it need. Do you have any tips what i need to look at because i will go mad with this car. Great videos keep going on!
What you described sounds like turbo seals are bad or the worst case the rings from one or more pistons are bad. You have to remove the turbo pipe that goes in the intercooler to see if you have oil in there or in the intake. To check the pistons you need a compression test

Yes you have to remove the engine or the gearbox
hey I have weird one sometimes if my car is like uphill I get red oil light when at idle?
You might not have enough oil in the oilpan. Check the level first if is OK your pump might not make enough pressure on idle
@@WarpDriveM I have a big oil leak from front of engine, I changed front crank seal cause looked like coming from there but it’s not. Can turbo seals be leaking that badly to cause low oil pressure light
@@piovo5222 Check inside the rubber pipe from the turbo to the intercooler. If it is just smeared with oil, it is ok. But if you have like a puddle of oil inside, then it is not ok.
@@legioner9 I checked everything, I changed the front crank seal twice and still kept leaking so I thought it was bearings which kept damaging the seal. So I sold the car.

Is 1 series considered a BMW or is it a kind of mini Cooper?
It's a bmw, same engines from 3 series and 5 series are available for 1 series as well. Gearboxes as well, rear wheel drive. It's a bmw for sure, a more compact one
