Everything Wino has ever done is gold - The Obsessed, Vitus, Spirit Caravan, Hidden Hand, Place of Skulls, Lost Breed, Shrinebuilder, Premonition 13, solo stuff. Ive got it all and love it all. He is a truly underrated and legendary song writer and musician.
Would be cool to see you do a Spirit Caravan instructional. Jug Fulla Sun is my personal favourite
Awesome lesson. Love that album... Riff 3 could've been on Badmotorfinger for sure. I've read Kim Thayil mention The Obsessed and Wino as an influence on his guitar playing. Obviously the whole Seattle scene was directly influenced by St. Vitus too. Everything Wino was a part of is now deemed "classic"... I prefer to think in terms of legendary. If anyone hasn't heard his contributions to the supergroup Shrinebuilder I definitely recommend checking it out. You got Wino, Melvins, Neurosis and Sleep all in one group... you can't go wrong. Thank you very much for this video man.
I got my model T back in 1982. It was built in Nov. 1974. The bass tone control knob is useless past "3". I never had an issue with that. The presence control is the most powerful tone knob on the amp, as the others are in their "pocket".
Alright a Wino lesson! Awesome tune & great lesson. Always been a fan of Wino’s playing
Such a legend. Glad you enjoyed the lesson.
Would love to see one on Sodden jackal. That song is so crushing
This epic I seen The Obsessed and The Skull a week or so before Eric passed in a Small but awesome club here in NW Arkansas
Damn. Thats awesome and sad. Eric was amazing.
The rig that Wino played through back in the day was a modified Model T with Svetlana 6550 power tubes and EHX preamp tubes. He still uses them in the US shows.
man if i had my druthers i would get the model T and use those exact settings and just put maybe a boost or compressor in front of it. it has so much bass it’s just unbelievable and incredible
Hefty low end compared to every other guitar amp I’ve ever owned.
Love The Obsessed thank you for this! Please do lessons on Lost Sun Dance and Tombstone Highway
Glad you liked the lesson!
Was able to pick this one up today after practicing for awhile, thanks for the guide and for always making sure to nail the tone too. I have had a model T pre-amp pedal around and just never thought to try it out cranked without anything feeding into it, and this turned out to be a favorite new tone to mess with.
Awesome!
Awesome! Been waiting for this one!
On another note: Could you do a video on how to service your Model T, tube replacement, biasing etc? And with other amps too? It'd come in really handy.
Always liked Wino’s style, especially some of his more unusual tunings and riff structures. Great sound here, too, that Model T is a leviathan.
Couldn't agree more!
That's a song i listen everyday on this days. Thanks. The purple album is heavy and awesome.
Great album
This is killer Steve. Wino is a doom metal icon and that First Act DC-6 through the Model T is heavier than the cornerstone of Westminster Abbey
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Killer lesson, thank you!
Killer tune. Thanks for watching.
Thanks! I just recently thought about learning this song
Hope the lesson was helpful!
Thanks for the lesson!! I enjoyed learning a new song!!!
Great!
@@DoesItDoom I'm glad you are doing some Wino songs!! Thanks
Thank you for the great video! Could you please do a lesson on Death Row by Pentagram? :)
That would be a good one!
Cool. Checking this out now.
Hope you dig it, Dan!
If I remember correctly, River of Souls is the the reverse of this tuning, the low string is tuned up a step.
In spirit caravan (The lost sun dance song) he tuned to G# G# C# F# A# D# so it's Eb tuning but low E strings up tuned to 2 steps .
A TOTAL BANGER👹
HAIL WINO
🐐🐐🐐
Thanks for the lesson! classic band, for your next lesson you should teach sacred predictions by burning witch one of the heaviest doom songs ever
Great suggestion!
We ever gonna get that Buzzov-en lesson?!?! Been waiting for years!!!! Haha
Hmmm. I do have a couple tabbed out.
Wino has an interesting approach to his riffs. Have you seen the size of his pics ? Dude plays with a roof shingle, it’s huge.
Lol, I have not.
So after hearing this I’m convinced I need a 1st gen model t, along with a non mv gt120. You’re causing some serious damage to my wallet Steve!
Absolutely killer! I actually haven't heard of Wino before; I know what I'm jamming today!
What kind of IR are you using?
You’re in for a treat! I use TwoNotes DynIR’s. Orange HP8 and FatPapa cabs.
do you know about SubRosa? they were a salt lake city doom band, it'd be pretty cool to see you break down a song or two by them. they tuned BADGBE
sort of unrelated, but with all the gear you have, have you thought about getting a ''muscle shelf'' ? I was looking into one or two to stack all my amps and cabs neatly against my wall or wherever.
I’ve seen that. I think I prefer the look of amps just piled up tbh. I do have to shuffle them around almost weekly though. lol.
Emerald tablet on probot is fkin amazing just fyi!
isn't that Earache my eye by Cheech and Chong
🤣🤣🤣

That 0:04 band gives me Chelsea Wolfe - 16 Psyche vibes.
