Doot doo !
Questlove: Man its so great to see you again Nardwuar, been excited for this, how you doin
Nardwuar: Who are you
Nardwuar: Who are you?
Jay-Z: I am a visionary, entrepreneur, corner boy, poet...
Nardwuar: ...you are Jay-Z
@@KaninTuzi hahaha funny.... I dont think Jay Z was aware of the Interview concept or knew nardwuar, Jay Z acted as a God way feeling himself lol cringe worth...
@Phony Mex being cringe doesnt accumulate or result in wealth lol..... and how did you relate that? No where did i hate on him nor did i speak on his money... but i repeat, being cringe has nothing to do with his money or success, neither does being smart otherwise all these Professors and scientists from Universities would be Billionaires.. I bet you not even a real Jay z fan you just counting pockets, i grew up on Jay z kiddo.
@Phony Mex respect has nothing to do with being cringe lmao... since when does being cringe mean i dont respect someone??? And who said Jay z is my idol??? I grew up listening to hundreds of artist lol dummy, no damn rapper gonna be my idol.... clearly rappers is who you look up to huh??
Hey the nard ain't no snitch
The amount of musical knowledge in the room is staggering
You could have full college course between the three of them.
@@garybierman1621 Quest teaches a course at NYU
Just hip hop knowledge altogether. Both Black Thought and Quest are walking encyclopedias. Their knowledge of Break dancing and graffiti is extensive.
It's the Roots we're talking here
The Chuck D one is great for that as well. Just an incredible amount of knowledge on classic soul, early hip hop and 70s, 80s urban culture
Nardwuar vs MF DOOM
"After which they couldn't find the Villain like Scooby"
the greatest music sleuth versus the most enigmatic rapper
I'm sure DOOM is afraid Nardwuar will expose too much of his character. His anonymity is what makes him MF DOOM
nah DOOM corny as fuck. he should get viktor vaughn tho, thatd be tuff
@Cerry when you dont know what you're talking about and completely miss the joke.
@Cerry like seriously man. even for someone like me who doesnt know much about rap, it takes 5 seconds to look something up. Try it some time
what an amazing interview. nard is such a fucking legend.
Million dollar legs is going for 1000 bucks on ebay lol
He need to post more videos
And dont get it mistaken 🤝
God damn right
he respects quest and the roots so much you can clearly see
Nardwuar should be a guest on Jimmy Fallon so the Roots can play the Nardwuar theme as the introduction song. Surprised this hasn't even happened yet.
beatz04 I don’t think Nard does a lot of interviews. His ted talk was great tho.
He's too good for a guy like Jimmy FakeLaugh though...
@@hammerheadsam9139 omg thank you for letting me know about Nard doing a TT. wow this is amazing.
Would be interesting to see how he deals with Jimmy Fallon constantly interrupting.... he probably would already have a strategy before dealing with Fallon since he seems to be a smart guy
@@gardensofthegods Yes! This comment!!!
Not much brings me more joy than watching Questlove and Nardwuar hang out
M Phillips I can’t think of two nicer people
pretty awesome
They have a lot of musical knowledge between the two of them.
I couldn't agree more. Their combined knowledge of music is ridiculous.

Black Thought is a true underrated legend my friend.
well first off I'm not ya friend bruh....
@@ajausbajdhqj WTF???
Jellysandwich I’m not your bruh, homie...
Evol1HipHop I’m not your homie ... buddy
"When they screamin 'You the greatest that did it,' what’s underrated?"
It's gotta be a national security issue for Nardwuar to even try to prepare for a presidential interview.
He's interviewed lots of Canadian politicians and prime ministers 😂
Oh hey HB! ☺️☺️☺️
@@annaisapalindrome Hey!! Pretty sure I've never seen a UA-cam comment from someone I actually know before, lol...
Same here and didn’t expect it to be on a Nardwuar video 😂😂😂😂😂
@@annaisapalindrome get a room
Obama hears Nardwuar is looking for him and starts to sweat profusely, can't dodge the human serviette forever.
Really? That would be sick!!!!
Nardwuar gifts him with an NSP album because he knows he loves some Game Grumps.
😭😭
Nardwuar knows too much about Obama. For all we know, Obama wrote raps on the 80s. Hahaha
Now THAT would be amazing
Naurdward is definitely the best interviewer in history is humanity!
B L 😂😂😂
*in the history OF humanity
Dumbass
It should be sitting at the impeachment hearings
Dont you hate when pencil neck geeks correct you?
Uber facts!!!!!
omfg 16:04 Black Thought tries to adjust Nardwar like a mic stand lol
NO WAYYYYY HAHAHAHAHAH
Actually....the emcee came out
Real MC shit. You know he does this shit for real.
That shit just happened off of reflex.
Actually he's just pushing it away from his face. Nard has a habit of putting the mic up wayyy too close to peeps faces and some guys push it further away usually.
@@hiteshk71 yeah. Travis Barker was a total dick about it.
Questlove and Nardwuar combined probably know everything there is to know about music.
Yo you're an opethhead on a hip hop interview. Love🖤🖤
Also DJ Premier :- D
Love how Nardwaur spoils his guests with gifts, insight and most importantly sharing of knowledge. It was so heart warming how Questlove asked if the gift was intended to be a present for him, so polite!
of the three main types of nard interview, the deepcut music history ones are my favs.
@@bad1080 the deepcut /personal/ history ones and the "i lined up 30 interviews at SXSW and this is what ive got" meme interviews.
@@XcaptainXobliviousX Good observation, haha. Nardwuar will forever be remembered as the best interviewer of all time. The Evaporators are unforgettable live performers too.
Anthony Fantano needs to pass his self-proclaimed title "Internet's Busiest Music Nerd" over to Nardwuar.
Nardwaur is one of the greatest things to EVER happen to hip hop in this era of short term memory. Amazing. Thank you!!

Nard is actually one of the few ppl who interview because they are passionate about it. He puts in the effort to research.
BLACK THOUGHT IS THE GOAT
Nard is the GOAT in his lane
Black Thought is so easily the GOAT
That hot97 freestyle alone...
What does that mean?
@@viciousLUA G.O.A.T. in music stands for “Greatest of All Time”
It’s a pretty common phrase people use when they are talking about an artist they think are the best.
I could watch QuestLove talk about vinyl that Nardwuar brings in crates for a few hours straight
Agreed!!
Honestly should be a podcasdt
When nardwaur passes away, hopefully many years from now.
I wonder if all the artists and musicians that were interviewed by him will meet and reminisce on what a unique and cool individual he was.
All except that gobshite from Blur
@@kevfullo the dude was fucked up on cocaine, he quit doing it after the shame that came from the interview and personally apologized to nardwuar
I love how Questlove is one of the only artists that recognizes Nardwuar's genius and appreciate's it
Him and Pharrell.
Courtney Love also respected and liked Nardwuar
@@archol6596Cole too
@@archol6596 it took her a while, same with fat mike, mike even commented how he didn't like him first time he met him.
Black thought is a living legend, the way he's still killing the mic in 2022 is crazy.
He's you favorite rapper's favorite rapper.
Nardwuar just casually whipping out a $1,000 record at 16:22
Behold! It Knits
Bruh 🥶🥶
Its funny cause i was waitin(skeptical) to see what record you were talkin about, thinkin you were just bein hyperbolic....but no! It _completely was_ an insanely rare/valuable record!! My bad to doubt you homie...ha!
Naurdwaur invests in vinyl. It’s why he’s broke.
@@brownsupahero I don't think Nard owns most of the records he busts out in these interviews. Unless they're gifts then I think he borrows them from Neptune Records or other stores, collectors, etc. just for the interviews.
I always feel bad when Nard says he needs a record back but the interviewee won't give it up. I'm thinking of Tom Morello
seriously nardwuar?
3 legendary culture icons in one video?
26 minutes?!?!
thank you.
The amount of knowledge Quest Love has on music is actually crazy!!
I LOVE Black Thought.
He IS the best lyricist alive today. The man is a legend, and young hip hop artists need to learn from him.
And you didnt even touch on his (their) live stage show
Still the best living in 2022
@@Povizle Easily one of the top 5 MCs of all time.
Check out Burning and Lootin on the all remix Bob marley album "Chant down Babylon" he's amazing in it
The brothers know something about everything hip hop!! Absolute Legends!!
Lebron should really apologize for calling himself a “hip hop historian”…you’re a fan of hip hop bro 😂
Amari Selah I think he must be Nardwaur’s fave person to interview because of all that historical knowledge. QL may be the one guy who (at times) knows more than him during an interview.
one of the greatest hip hop groups of all time
Yes
These interviews are always so endearing.
You can see Quest Love truly appreciates Nardwuar... many of the guests he has on take the interview for granted. You learn a lot about music and culture from each interview if you search up some of the things he gifts the guests.
Black Thought was weirded out the whole time that was fcken great!
The expression on his face made me think that he was trying to catch up the whole time and every time he did, Nardwuar changed the subject :)

Nardwuar vs The Fresh Prince. We need it!!
Don't forget Jazzy Jeff
Won't happen, Will Smith is in Scientology.
Black Thought looks like he's trying to figure out what this guy is and how is he so awesome. Nardwuar never dissapoints.
I wanna shout-out Nardwuar for not packing his videos with 10,000 ads apiece like most content creators on UA-cam these days. This is one of the only channels where the ads actually wouldn't bother me, since his work is so incredible!
Beginning of interview: "You are absolutely not going to get me this time. There is no way at all."
Literally seconds later: "dammit."
Questlove: I did not know that Dick ran for president.
Nard: And you're Questlove of the...
Questlove: Roots 😂
Nardwuar is a savage, teaching the roots to the roots lmao
I have been in musician for 40+ years and I have never learned so much about music until I started watching these interviews. I instantly have to look up all the artists they are talking about. So cool, thank you!
Canada needs to give this dude the highest honour
Lol I like how I been waiting just like Quest ! his appreciation of Nard makes me appreciate all this even more !

Absolutely!
They're not calles Roots for nothing.
Damn this interview was a 30min Music History lesson. Liiih
Thought is so calm and humble when he's not rapping. 😂. Much love to legendary Roots Crew.
4 times and Quest Love still wasn’t ready for Nardwuar! 😂
gave up in the first 40 seconds 😂
I love learning from nard and quest. Their passion for what they do nd enjoy is contagious
I love how Nardwuar uses very well thought out gifts to spark conversation and take intimate and interesting answers from almost everyone.
Questlove might be the best guest I’m not surprised nardwuar has had him this many times. He’s SO appreciative it isn’t like some artists where they’re just trying to give a good reaction, he actually is impressed
Their knowledge of musical history that goes far deeper than just the music is absolutely astounding.
Nardwuar you are the best, your interviews are amazing
Yo. Y'all noticed QuestLove forgot his poster at the end.
😂😂
if you look in the corner they left all their stuff. prob going to come back for it all after they come back from whatever business they had to attend to
blamethemonkey784 left it in the green room till after the show bruh
Fantastic invu. Hard work/research. And The Roots? So humble and generous. First class. Pros! Kudos to them - and others could learn something when being invued by Nardwuar..
I was pumped when black thought came in. You can tell he was a little overwhelmed but ultimately impressed by nardwuar
Nardwuar: "I killed..., I killed...?"
Suge: ??
Nardwuar: "You killed Tupac didn't you."
He was sitting next to Tupac in the car, do you really think he would have ordered a hit like that?
Diddy and Orlando
I love that after he brings out the White Boys album, Questlove just trusts that Nardwuar probably knows the Roots history better than himself.
Questlove: How did you find this??!
Nardwuar:

“You’re Questlove, we gotta know!”
Ppl going to be searching up these artist and saying the roots brought them

@@jonathanvdk55 It's like posting 'first' on a video. It's unnecessary .
Nardwuar is an international treasure.
Imagine how Nardwuar would start that Obama interview... “Who are you?”
Lmao
That would break the universe lol.
This is one of the coolest interviews I think I've ever seen, I love how much I learned from this. Educating and representing, god bless
this interview shows the yin and yang of Quest & Black Thought. Quest is amazed & obviously enthusiastic about the different stuff Nardwuar brings out, Black Thought it just coolly like, "nice, thanks."
Nardwuar, my favorite interviewer ever. Thank you again. ?uestlove!

Each Questlove interview is better than the last! I really like watching the interaction between you too, two music nerds geeking out!! Awesome!
Pure joy watching this, had me smiling from ear to ear. Watching the seasoned Nardwuar-veteran Questlove beside his apprehensive apprentice in the matter - the bewildered Black Thought was priceless - instant classic again Nardwuar, love you!
This is insane. My god, Nardwuar. So well done.
Questlove’s wheeze gives me life
Wow! great interviewer. And interviewees. I learnt so much. Thank you.
Aww man that's an epic interview! The roots are so well educated in Hip-Hop culture and Nardwuar man you and your team deserve so much more recognition for your amazing abilitiy
I love how every time someone tells him he's done his homework he always say's "Of course! It's (insert artist), we have to!"; but with The Roots he actually means it.
Yes, Nardwar went extra cheese with this baby
god this is such a good episode! all three of these dudes are so chill!. Keep doing what ya'll do best, the roots, narduar!
YES!! Man I love the artists that truly appreciate what Nardwuar does and enjoy the interviews to rhe fullest extent 😂😂 and I'm blazed rn so this is just lovely 😃
@mojo 😂😂😂
So much knowledge shared here. thank you
Questlove is so generous in sharing these stories. So cool!
The Legendary!
Black Thought the greatest emcee. respect.
Great video. The Legendary Roots Crew!!!!!
Brilliant reactions. Quest is blown away!
Questlove needs a podcast just talking about the history of music and Hip Hop. I bet the guy has an insane amount of knowledge and I love hearing him just talk about music.
Just sit him down with Black Thought and hit record.
Questlove and Black Thoughts reactions made me genuinely happy.
This is great. Too many Legends in one room!
such positive energy in this one. you’re a legend nard!
This is my favorite Nardwuar interview yet. Gotta love The Roots!
here for the premiere
Thank you for this video
this interview is just so good
They really need the "sign off pose" of Nardwuar in a wax museum somewhere
Yes!!!!! And mayve some cardboard cut outs of him frozen like that to pull some pranks with.
You would think that Nard would struggle to amaze Questlove after 3 previous interviews, but no, he still delivers.
I love the Quest Love interviews!
Awesome interview. Questlove is great.
QL has an adorable laugh.
YAYYYYY AGAINNN THE ROOTS YESSSS
Nardwuar always impresses. Great interview!
i luv all the new stuff nard is doing with his editors
I love that nardwuar weirds everyone out the first time they meet him but after a few times they wait to see what he comes up with
Let’s take a second for Questlove, the Historian. Watch and listen kids.
Thank you Nardwauar and the team for your incredible work! Love
Been waiting for this since the last time they met. Always an epic interview.
