Polymer Clay Cane: Black Rose Cane Tutorial

- In this cane tutorial I'll show you how to create a black rose cane. It's a little more complex than the other rose cane tutorials I've shown. Keep in mind though that you can take the colors I used in this tutorial and apply it to one of the easier rose tutorials I've done.

Second time I've made this along with you Samantha, I rolled out the scrap clay into a veneer and thought it's just as beautiful as the rose is, would love for you to do a pendant tutorial for this and other roses cause I have no idea when it comes to making pendant on how to put it a together, so I look forward to you doing something with the cane 🙏💞

Hi Samantha! I did this along with you and made a mini cane. It came out beautiful but not as nice as yours of course! The only thing I would stress is to make sure to use enough green. I didnt and its sort of blurry looking, but very pretty anyway. Thank you.

I've been watching your channel for quite some time and I've always seen you do jewelry projects and I believe a ring dish but have you ever tried to do a wine bottle I would love to see your what your creative mind comes up with for a wine bottle or any kind of bottle

I have the same question. I would think folding was less time consuming. Did you get an answer? I looked for one, but can't find any.
Hey Samantha- I love this cane & think the colors you chose/made are so beautiful & such a perfect combination. I just attempted to make it & am not sure why but I had a lot of confusion during the process- I had to slow down the video & turn it so that my hands were facing in the same direction as your's & then follow everything you did that way. But.. it's finally done! I really love it but have no idea at all what to do with it now. I used the same amount of clay as you said you used so as you know it's a pretty huge cane, so not knowing what to make with it is driving me crazy. I'm terrible at coming up with my own ideas & typically struggle w/ it so much that I never come up with anything, and I really don't want this beautiful cane to just sit with all my others & not get utilized. So I'm wondering if you are maybe still considering making a project tutorial with it? I have already made your other rose projects & would really prefer to make something different, so I'm just curious as to whether you think you'll release another one with this rose? Thank you

I really enjoyed this tutorial. I was wondering if it was possible to add additional petals to make the diameter larger.
Yes. You could do that.
Yes I did and still the same, but you'll need more than the 4 or 5 outer petals, I leave mine large until I need to reduce for a piece.

I have all the colors but only 3 are Premo and my purple is from Fimo.. Do you think I can use the purple I have even if its not the same brand? I hope I don't have to buy another purple!
Yes. I use multiple brands together all the time. You should be just fine using the Fimo.
