Oh, this is such a wonderful performance! There's no this extreme smoothness of Leona's somewhat too academic singing... Instead, there is a real, alive person addressing to the listener. And what powerful vocals and lungs Gabi has!

In the Czech Republic, a small insular music market, artists need to be able to master many genres to make a decent living. The reigning "diva" for many years there, Lucie Bila, has roots in metal, and still occasionally guests with her original band. Gaby's foray into the USA to study with Ken and tour with TSO, very good English and her performance at this year's Eurovision Song Contest, augur well for an international career, which few Czechs and Slovaks have attained. Now, in the CR the main singing awards show is an annual plebiscite, with awards for the top three in each broad category. The top three or four women have been the same for the last 9 years ... can Gaby crack the top 4 this year on November 26th? Things change VERY slowly in the Czech Republic!

What I like of her most, is the way she does her trip through the music business :) She is like my "Gods" (Kamil Strihavka, Dan Barta etc). You don't hear about them, but they absolutely fantastic. This is the way, every fabulous singer has to past (unfortunately)
