I am truly impressed with Nick and his store. The fact that he supports various charities is just awesome. I always say this, but the comic book community is the best community out there (we just ignore the toxic members). Great video, Mike! I like the interview format.
Very cool changeup from usual video format! I respect how much Nick is hustling for his small business and still quietly supporting charity. Stand up guy, great store and finds 👍
I just want to say thank you for creating the best content. I recently got into collecting again at 35 years old and I’ve learned so much in the last few months from watching your videos. I watch them everyday and this one really hit me emotionally when you said the owner donates to a cancer foundation. I lost my dad to cancer 4 years ago and he loved hunting for treasures at garage sales and flea markets.
@@kevingomez-88 thank you so much for this nice comment, though I’m very sorry to hear about your father. I’m happy you get something out of the content and good luck on getting back into the hobby!
Always good to hear about businesses supporting nonprofits…kudos to Nick for paying it forward and to you, Mike, for using your platform to shine the light on this.
What a great story. After reading how difficult it is to run a comic book shop it’s amazing to hear how he gives to charities. I had a friend who ran a comic book shop and he said some months you barely get by so l am impressed he does this. Very inspiring Nick. You have a heart of gold my friend!
Man, you have such great shops in your area! I would have loved to see more of Nick's store section by section. It's always awesome to window-shop thru the internet.
I visited this store during my honeymoon in Salem, back in September. I was amazed by the back issue selection and the number of different action figures. I'll definitely visit them again in the future.
My pick of the three would be hands down the FF #51. I believe Stan Lee also said this was his favorite issue in the run (or maybe even ever?) and it still holds up very well. I still crack it open every once in a while to read it. Great profile on Nick and his comic books store, a very salt-of-the-earth kind of fellow. Getting kids interested and excited about the hobby is important! I hope you run into more quality people like him on your adventures!
Nick is awesome and his store is beautifully organized!! I like his philosophy and prices!! Wish I was closer, I'd definitely would frequent his store!! And he donates to charity, wow!!
Nick seems like an amazing business owner and super cool guy! He definitely sets a standard for the LCS of today. I hope many other shop owners see this video and learn a thing or two. Looks like a real nice shop. I saw a few keys I would have picked up on the spot. Living in Las Vegas it's hard to get nice keys for a reasonable price. I think it's because the economy here is really good. A lot of collectors make really good money here. The last time I was in Arizona I checked out a comic book shop and couldn't believe how many keys they had and the reasonable prices. I figured the average collector there doesn't make the same kind of income.
