I had read somewhere that the old painting masters used an under color of green for more realistic skin. I couldn’t figure it out using my Copics but, after watching your videos, I *might* be starting to get closer to learning. Much appreciated! 🤙🏻

I was wondering about that. Do you have any idea what shade of green he was using? Obviously its relative to the specific skin tone but this is a completely different idea for me.

@@cuff2860 It says in the description it was a G40 which Copic calls Dim Green. I also noted how Elias has some skin tones down before he applies the green. I had been trying it first or many times after having the skin tones already rendered. On my Poison Ivy, I also think I may have gone with too dark of a green.

Hi Elias. I am Brazilian and I have been following your work for deviantart for years. And watching your videos, I would like to ask a question .. How do you do so that the color difference between the skin and the shine / shadow is not marked in photoshop?
I don't see you using intermediate colors. Only with one is it enough. I would be happy if you answered me.

THis is great. Did you use the green for shadow or cause there is metal in the image?

I use green so as to give more fleshy color to her, otherwise would be orange.

@@EliasChatzoudisArt do you have a specific marker you use for this skin tone or does it vary by the lighting of that individual drawing?
