Now, this is a really nice house! But much more beautiful is the car in the garage 😄 A few years ago I used to deliver to an american customer! I guess he was an Ex - GI - you know, a lot of Americans who live in Germany, they come about the army to Germany; after a few years, they leave the army in Germany and then they start a new life! Perhaps it was a long time ago when he left the army because his german was very good! He spoke german very fluently!
Germany is really cool, its a bit expensive, and getting more so, but you can find great deals, lots of things you need to know before deciding to move there, the smaller towns are way better, under 20,000 people are best, the bigger towns and cities are expensive, in a rural country area people are much nicer and easier to get along with. Be aware there are Germans that dont care for Americans very much, they feel invaded and cant understand why any American would want to live in Germany. While not hostile they arent very nice either.
The apartment prices in Germany vary from region to region and it’s very dynamic. The average apartment prices in Germany start from 2,000 EUR/m² considering the type of property. The maintenance costs 100 EUR per month and taxes from 3.5% to 6.5% on purchases. However, due to the continuous growth of the economy, low unemployment rate, population growth and rising incomes the property prices keep rising every year and creates a positive environment for the real estate owners and the investors.
There are SO MANY cool places to choose from! I personally opted to live a little further out from the base so I could experience the German culture a little more! :) I LOVED my time there.
If you don't mind me asking, do you have a spouse or children? My husband is a staff sargeant in the air force currently in Okinawa, Japan, and we want Germany so bad. My husband and i have 2 kids under 3 so just curious on what homes we would get

HAHAHAHAHAH we do not sit down in the bathtub to take a shower hahahaha. you can take it standing up, unless you are tall and you hit your head on the roof wall. The norm in Germany is to have a bathtub and a shower in the main bathroom. In the south of europe the norm is only the bathtub, and in extremely small bathrooms the shower.
