It's been about 6 months since we finished making over our cozy 61sqm rental apartment, here's a little tour of how the apartment is looking like ☺ If you need any product links, it is stated in the description~ FAQs: Is 1000€ rent normal in Germany? A: Munich is the most expensive city in Germany, but salaries here are also a little higher to accommodate the higher cost of living. 1000€ rent is actually not too bad considering we split between 2 people + our location in the middle ring, but you could get a bigger apartment for the same rent if you live outside the city. Why could you do so many renovations even though it's a rental? A: It is possible to do anything that is not "permanent" - ie. we cannot glue, tile etc. Drilling holes and painting are all fine and everyone does it. When we move out, we just have to revert the apartment to original state (fill holes, paint white). The kitchen is the only exception - we have the option of selling the kitchen to the next tenant, or we have to rip it out when we move out.
I love that you are creating love and peaceful surroundings in your now instead of waiting for “permanent “ housing. We just bought what might be our forever home. Your prices scare me to death. Lol do you ever wish for a garden or a half bath?

This home tour was recommended to me by UA-cam and I'm really glad it was! I'm quite the minimalist, but for some reason I feel like this apartment enbodies the definition of "home" to me. Everything is perfectly balanced, it is so comforting. You are such a talented creative and it is so wholesome to see all of your diys around the place. It is a shame that here in the UK we are not really allowed to do many modifications to our rental places (at least the ones I have been renting). I am an interior stylist and always wished to renovate my rental place like you but due to restrictions on renters my dream to style my place cannot be fullfilled. My concept is to live cozy comforting stress free life even if you are living in a rented accommodation where freedom is given to style the place with your own choice .I pretty guessed it right that renters in Munich enjoy and have every choice to live accordingly.I reside in Australia where there is so much restrictions on renters that for them there is no place to breathe,no right to decorate their place in any manner be it paint the walls,hang pictures nothing at all and the list goes on and on .Your privacy is also invaded every now and then by rental agent and owner. At the end if we cannot buy our own place for some reason we have evey right to make the rented place feel like our home by styling it with our choice.There is lot to learn from Germany about the living standard of renters.
